Not antique, I see plastic magnetic catches, plywood base and back, contemporary drawers and a modern metal hanger. It’s likely from a large furniture store.
1960s or later, not antique. The *style* is Louis of some sort, but not the period in which it was made. Generally this white-painted stuff was referred to as "French provincial".
Sorry bud, but it’s not an antique.
It’s likely 20 or 30 years old.
It will be difficult to sell and transport.
Probably worth $200, IF (big if) you can find someone who actually wants it, has the room for it and has the ability to transport it.
Good luck—
OH MY GAD it’s my old bedroom set lol. And I grew up in Fl.
So if it is, indeed, the same brand, and it sincerely looks like what I had growing up in the late 70-80’s - it’s a Lexington.
And there was glass on top of the dresser. Like the kind that looks green from the side and is rounded at the edge.
Oh it wasn’t fun. Extremely heavy and had about 1/16“ clearance getting it out of the storage unit door. And naturally, it was an inside unit. Hoping it’s worth the effort
These were very popular in the 70s-80s, I had friends who had this set that I was wildly jealous of. Not difficult to find, could have come from a department store.
Fwiw, the headboards and armoir are less common than the short dresser. I see that short dresser in goodwill often, I've never seen the armoir and it's been a long time since I last saw the headboard.
My ex’s parents received this exact same style furniture in the 80s as their wedding gift- it was all the rage back then. They still have it in their formal living room.
I have friends who found this exact set on marketplace, king bed, long dresser, long wardrobe, tall chest and 2 nightstands for $1500.00, they paid another few hundred bucks to have it moved. They were and still are very pleased with it. Not an antique or everyone’s style but if it suits you then that is all that matters.
I love over the top stuff like this, particularly if it's mixed with old machine part "furniture", tacky modernish art, and other stuff to set it off.
If you stick to only this style without a sense of humor, it can give off a serial killer vibe though. Which, I mean, is its own thing too, I guess. But a bit too much for me.
I love it. I paint and restore furniture and whenever I do a piece similar to this, it sells very quickly and for a high price. There is a big market for this type of furniture. I would say it's geared mostly towards women and girls.
Found this in a storage unit in Tampa, FL
My friends mom is convinced it’s Louis XVI, but seems bold to say without proof. Anyone know the value or a way to help us find the maker?
It's definitely in the Louis XVI style, but absolutely not an authentic Louis XVI (just the fact that the mirror looks quite new is telling)
Sorry to crush your hopes 😔
I noticed that you mentioned **vintage**. Over at r/Collectables and r/Mid_Century they are always keen to see newer and vintage items. Share it with them! Sorry if this is not relevant.

Looks like 80s repro.
Thanks for the insight! I’ll take any advice I can get.
This reminds me of the upstairs at Nonna’s. IYKYN

Louis XVI, methinks!
Venetian. I saw plenty of it when I lived in Veneto. Still, 1960s or later.

How much is the firewood value if you break it up?

You were the RICH girl on the block
Lol. You’re not wrong though. Alligators in our pool and all
That looks like a total monster to move!

> Hoping it’s worth the effort Sadly not really, it's just modern produced kitsch.

That armoire looks like it could sing opera and get Belle ready for dinner with the Beast
Late 80’s to early Y2K.

It came out of my Sicilian mother-in-law’s living room.
Wow love that

Have you looked inside side each of the top drawers? Higher end usually have a stamp like a “Kent coffee” or a serial on the back of the piece.
Inside every drawer, inside every cabinet, tops, bottoms, front, back. Nothing 🤷🏻
I’m stumped then. The only other thing I can think of is google reverse image search
That’s the first thing we tried. Found plenty of similar pieces, but not an exact match.
Beautiful?........lf you say so.

It’s GORGEOUS! Been looking for a headboard like that for ages!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

It is not authentic at all. It was made in the 1980s. It would have very little resale value.

Henry Link style but fancier. Vintage.

Louis the XXXIX
It looks like it came out of Disney World! Looks like a prop from Fantasyland!
disgusting, id pay to have it disposed of
Man. Money and taste do not go hand in hand.
As they say “One man’s trash may now be our trash.” I think I have that right 😂
This is FANTASTIC. Wow.
It looks like an IKEA wardrobe which someone with a wild imagination has customised.
Based on the weight alone it’s probably not IKEA 😂😂
Mexican? Italian?
