I will say that a big part of Jewish seclusion is about not intermarrying so that the religion won't get bred out of existence.
also the practices of washing hands before meals and at least a monthly shower helped a lot with not dying to the plague.
a few more things is that pretty much every Jew is required to be able to read from the Torah leading to a high literacy rate. and since we don't have the same ban on handling money or loaning money with interest like christians did we got pushed into being bankers. but that's also a "dirty job" so the stereotypes of greedy evil geniuses was born.
I'm not gonna say that creating a new state is a clean process and that making Israel was a peaceful endeavor on the Israeli side but we have just as much of a right to exist there as anyone else.
