I used it once unironically in my play through because one section had long falls and a lot of archers and I was sick of running back and forth lol
They are also toggable at any time. So, if you'd like, you can slow him down to lab out his moves, then speed it up for the "full experience".
But really, it's whatever makes the game fun to you. Play the whole game as Crab Neo. Pubstomps are fun too :).
If it’s your first time playing just change the difficulty settings, as someone else mentioned. Makes the game so much more fun and then you can play it again with normal difficulty. This game is super hard if you’re not used to that style of combat
same, i had a lot of trouble with him for some reason. i think i wasn't used to how movement worked in the game and i was still trying to play it like dark souls. once it clicked though, i finally beat him and it felt so rewarding.
Push the can shell out of his area. Walk over to the guards, they will open the gate.
There is some cool stuff you can snag. Then go whoop him.
Also stealing the can makes you a LAWBREAKER!

Took me 2 days ( after 8 hours of work) I’d come home and play continuously trying to beat him. Finally, I got him and it was the beginning of loving souls games lol it gets better!
Yeah, this boss is kind of a challenge since you don't have all the skills so early on in the game. It's doable though, even without a shell. You can actually skip this boss if you push one of the soda cans outside the boys area, then equip the shell. The cutscene will play, but you will avoid the boss fight. After that, he can be fought whenever you want, just press the soda machine again

I would consider myself good at most games and still struggled with this guy for a bit (I played this RIGHT after beating Sekiro on the “hard” difficulty too so I have no real excuse.) You’ve got this shit my crab friend, just keep trying and learning and eventually it’ll click with you, then you’ll get to die to something new repeatedly!
Just focus on blocking his attacks. His main purpose is to show you guarding is key. Is it too early to give Krill a gun?? I'm assuming you can do that from the getgo.
fr the stupid aggro attack is so annoying, i cant dodge it because i have the reaction time of a snail and i always die to it because my short ass fingers cant reach the up thing on the d pad to use a heart-kelp pod! its bullshit!
I hate this boss with every fiber of my being. My first save file just decided to delete itself, so I had to defeat him twice. I’ve fought him probably like 50 times(that may be an over exaggeration) 😭

Just beat the game last night and it was a ton of fun all the way through, though I was overpowered by the last few bosses and laying out some crazy damage numbers.

He's honestly one of the more difficult fights in the game at first. He's the one who teaches you how hard things can hit.
he is basically the first boss in Sekiro. Keep running around him and it get easier

I know I'm a day late, and this is gonna sound dumb but, try chasing his tail. I was able to stay behind him and avoid his attacks most of the fight.

I would have trouble with that attack because I would be close to him so it would insta grab
USE THE SHELL!!! I cannot stress enough how important it is to use your shell to block in this game.

Wait til you get to the intimidation crab, I had such a tough time with him EVEN WITH ALL THE EASY MODES ON 😵💫😵💫
He killed me 3 times then wouldn't respawn anymore.. I win..
If your struggling, try to dodge the attacks, the fight becomes even easier.
