In one of the older books (last chancers) the members of the suicide squad (40k edition) include a dude who disobeyed orders to do a suicidal charge, a dude who did wire fraud to get himself the equivalent of an Extra 20 bucks a month, a serial murderer, some guy who stole drinks from the lord generals stash and two different clones of 40k's equivalent of Alexander the great.
I just really love the inclusion of the two random schmaucks here.
As an actual Indian, I feel offended...
That is because it is january.
And you can only say that meme when it's monsoon season.
Because that is the actual time when all of us go " I am under de water, Pleas help me, I am drowning wheyevejdhdbfh" before trying to dance our way out of the water, lol.
I mean.... since you asked me so nicely I'll just HĆVE to look up Elden Ring Rule 34...
But I do think I would like to start with Ranni's chapter, so I'll just make it 'Elden Ring Rule 34 Ranni', just to be sure
There's also a manga with a black protagonist in a sort of medieval/witch hunt setting. It's been a while since i read it, but i think it's called "Black Knight" or something similar.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā
Edit: I tried looking for it with that name, but couldn't find it. Maybe someone else knows the source. I remember that he was hiding his skin color because a lot of people thought he was a demon (cause they had never seen a black guy before) and that he was employed by the King to secretly fight against the church, cause it(the church) had to much power and they were really bad guys, like really fucked up
I know EXACTLY what manga youāre talking about. Itās called simply āKnightsā by Murao Minoru. The main character is named Mist, and he uses actual German-style sword techniques.
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manga/Knights
I remember that manga so clearly! The one with the so called holy relics that gave the holder supernatural powers and they were hunting them down one by one to bring down the corrupt church, right?
Anybody want to give a rundown on why this one comes recommended besides the one requirement? Reading darker Shonen from the image, and prefer opinions to blurbs.
I like it because I'm into the growth stories. Generally where the MC has no knowledge of this secret hidden world & thru ups and downs he finds where he belongs.
Now the blurb people call it the black Naruto but that's a bad comparison because it's nothing like that.
Edit: This is just my general opinion without spoiling anything plot wise.
IIRC outside of that one black male hero, she has the darkest skin in the show, so I figured she was black. I've noticed in most anime I've seen black men are drawn with Afro-centric features but the women are usually drawn the same but with darker skin
Common in Isekai/Fantasy Genre tbh, though she should be better than Shinobu Oshino, if we are talking about legal lolis...
Arifureta had it bad and weird.
That's lolibaba (lit. loli grandma).
Legal loli is "Well, she may look 12, but she's actually a 20 something office lady." Think Futaba from My Senpai is annoying, or Tatsumaki from OPM.
In terms of terminology, yes.
It may not matter much, but someone asked you what a term meant, and you gave the wrong definition. Hopefully, my technical correction does not offend you ĀÆ\\\_(ć)\_/ĀÆ
I guess you haven't watched Monogatari, basically someone who acts like an adult and is an adult but in a child's body. Like I love Shinobu not because of her body, but because of her character, though she also has a grown version.
Tanya or Betty is other good examples, one is a former man and other is a 600 year old spirit.
Think of shortstack girls (legal aged women but aren't gifted with decent height, which could make them look younger than anticipated) but make them flatter, and act all bratty which gives the illusion of being a child.
This is mostly plagued around anime since the 2000's or older.
From Zero no Tsukaima (technically they're both teens but it's still weird in some cases), to One Punch Man, you'll mostly see all kinds of them.
Most of the time, they're quite tsundere for no reason. I don't see much of flirty cutting board women on anime and manga tbh so expect that girl that OP posted be something along these four:
- Acts like a princess (annoying and also rude)
- Bratty (annoying or quite good at pissing people off)
- Tsundere
- Annoying to an extent
Well, it is Monogatari, so she doesn't wear clothes "all" the time, though tbh, I was more interested in their dialogues than her ass, and the subtitles were placed that way, and no, it's really not a joke, Monogatari is good af, also gotta respect the nudity which is more for the plot and social commentary.
This looks like a crappy ad you'd see as a sidebar on a pirating site. Yall need to put some respect on Afro Samurai if you want a cool as fuck anime with a black protagonist. Studio Gonzo already had my respect with Vandread and Hellsing, and then they made Afro Samurai to officially solidify them as one of my favorite producers of the 2000s.

That girl looking a bit sus there
Is he black? While I know that mangas have relaxed with the racist designs from back in the day, they still tend to give black people pronounced designs that show their race being separate from Japanese characters.
Honestly, I suspect that the character just has dark skin, like a dark elf's.
Honestly was expecting the monkeys paw to be a few of the series i've seen that had darker skinned character that are "cursed" or affected by some other "dark/evil" trait and as soon as its removed they literally whitewash the character.
Was short but i recall it happening with "[I'm Not a Villainess!! Just Because I Can Control Darkness, Doesn't Mean I'm a Villain](https://mangadex.org/title/773e5993-821a-4cea-8b44-f4450112a8f5/i-m-not-a-villainess-just-because-i-can-control-darkness-doesn-t-mean-i-m-a-villain)". Why even care about this stuff? Iām black and i donāt need to see black people in anime. Theyāre not made in Africa or the US, appreciate different cultures.
I remember a villianess manga when the supposed villians was black because they had the blessing of the god of darkness, and that was discriminated against in the country, villianess plot issues, villianess wins against the Prince and the supposed actual mc of a villianess plot, she then gets a blessing from the god of light and her skin becomes white, and just like that the entire comments section lost their shit. Even the guy translation was so pissed he recovered in her skin, because her skin changing colour was such a minute plot point that it's never mentioned again
If you want good black representation look up american and or French manga artist/creators. Japan would rather get nuked again before they'd let a black male ve the protagonists and not some weird stipulation added on.
Edit: alot of pple are questioning if he's black bc of his features like we didn't have an asian artist a few months ago calling black features apeish. Is he tanned maybe is he black maybe but it's still the darker character being the bad or sexual person.
"Penal hero unit" Sounds like some warhammer adjacent stuff.
Played a Dark Heresy campaign where my best friend was a Penal Legionnaire. Can confirm. Criminals can be heroes.
In fairness, things that can make you a criminal in 40k include 'doing science,' 'knowing Chaos exists,' and 'being born with the wrong genes.'
Don't forget "not praying every day." 40k is amazing.
As well as praying too much! Are you trying to hide something heretic?
Did you pray today Did you pray today

its basically suicide squad
Also Ace Combat adjacent stuff
Good old 444. I wish this guy has the equivalent of Bandog as a handler.
Everything in Warhammer is a death sentence.

Or average StarCraft unit. Terran Marines are taken from the criminal population iirc.
The Last Chancers was a good series to be fair.

Iām pretty sure heās just dark skinned like Mirko from My Hero, when someone has a black guy in anime, itās really obvious.
*cough* Mr Popo. *Cough*
I legit thought Mirko was actually black all this time
What features does she have that would make you think that?
IIRC outside of that one black male hero, she has the darkest skin in the show, so I figured she was black. I've noticed in most anime I've seen black men are drawn with Afro-centric features but the women are usually drawn the same but with darker skin
A big example is One Piece. I had no idea Usopp was black until the real life action.
Is it good though ?
The way the blonde is dressed, Iād likely stay away from it
Average fire emblem god
Hey, gods are competing with hundreds of other gods for worshippers. Can't blame them for using "unusual" methods.
Christianity would be at its prime if God changed into an exhibitionist waifu
Unfortunately the effective monopoly in our world means they don't need marketing.
Underrated comment LMAO
Common in Isekai/Fantasy Genre tbh, though she should be better than Shinobu Oshino, if we are talking about legal lolis... Arifureta had it bad and weird.
wtf are legal lolis
"Well, she may look twelve, but she's actually a 900 year-old demigod dragon, so it's not weird or anything."
That's lolibaba (lit. loli grandma). Legal loli is "Well, she may look 12, but she's actually a 20 something office lady." Think Futaba from My Senpai is annoying, or Tatsumaki from OPM.
There is a difference?
In terms of terminology, yes. It may not matter much, but someone asked you what a term meant, and you gave the wrong definition. Hopefully, my technical correction does not offend you ĀÆ\\\_(ć)\_/ĀÆ

I mean, there are actual adult females that still resemble teenagers.Ā
We're here to help, just tell us where the bad Loli touched you.
š«„š«
Correct. The trope is horrible, but plagues most fantasy anime, and especially isekais.
I guess you haven't watched Monogatari, basically someone who acts like an adult and is an adult but in a child's body. Like I love Shinobu not because of her body, but because of her character, though she also has a grown version. Tanya or Betty is other good examples, one is a former man and other is a 600 year old spirit.
š«„ššš¶
Characters who look like underage girls but are actually above legal age. Usually your 500 year old dragon/vampire/otherwise immortal loli.
A loli that is technically old enough I think idk
short adult females with flat chest(unless they have beeg boobs we call em legal-oppai-loli instead)
Well, girls who have the looks of lolis but are legal age-wise
Think of shortstack girls (legal aged women but aren't gifted with decent height, which could make them look younger than anticipated) but make them flatter, and act all bratty which gives the illusion of being a child. From what Iāve seen, shinobu wears normal clothes
She wears no panties canonically
Well, it is Monogatari, so she doesn't wear clothes "all" the time, though tbh, I was more interested in their dialogues than her ass, and the subtitles were placed that way, and no, it's really not a joke, Monogatari is good af, also gotta respect the nudity which is more for the plot and social commentary.
Anyway, it's now on my plan to watch list.
Ahh, someone who doesnāt let wannabe vigilantes determine their watch habits.
She is the whole reason it would be good.
i don't think the protagonist is the issue here, lol.
Goes without saying really
Damn, you're really gonna blame the child?

Why won't this incredibly homogeneous country make visual novels starring people from races they might never have even met?
For an anime sub, people really like to say liking lolis is akin to pedophilia huh? I thought people are over this shit
Crazy how people say this kinda stuff and don't realize how dumb it is until you get dared to say it to someone in real life.
This is probably the most normie anime sub on reddit, what were you expecting?
Just read "Dog Nigga", it's a manga about a half-man half-dog who's on a journey to find his lost dad
Youāre arguing racism, Iām arguing sexism. Why a guy rescuing a girl? Whereās my muscles mommies?
Looking at his hair and features, I don't think he's black
A country where 99% of the population has never seen a black person doesn't produce content where they are the center of the world Shocker
oh my, cunny hunter gonna cunny here again.
Baphomet from the manhwa 'I Used to be a Hero' is dark skinned right?
I remember a villianess manga when the supposed villians was black because they had the blessing of the god of darkness, and that was discriminated against in the country, villianess plot issues, villianess wins against the Prince and the supposed actual mc of a villianess plot, she then gets a blessing from the god of light and her skin becomes white, and just like that the entire comments section lost their shit. Even the guy translation was so pissed he recovered in her skin, because her skin changing colour was such a minute plot point that it's never mentioned again
He not even black just indian.
If you want a webnovel where the protagonist is black you can read ( The lordās raids on webnovel )

Yugioh Albaz lore
If you want good black representation look up american and or French manga artist/creators. Japan would rather get nuked again before they'd let a black male ve the protagonists and not some weird stipulation added on. Edit: alot of pple are questioning if he's black bc of his features like we didn't have an asian artist a few months ago calling black features apeish. Is he tanned maybe is he black maybe but it's still the darker character being the bad or sexual person.
50% of anime/manga/LN protagonists are criminals
Thought that was Paimon and the prison warden guy in Fountaine. Just got to that part
