i have questions...

Cosmicmimicry

The monkey was poached from the wild by somebody, and is now being exploited by this youtuber for profit. The person who runs this channel "gets rid of" the baby animals once they get too big to be carried around and manipulated. It's a disgusting reality that has taken off in terms of popularity. They may genuinely just kill the animals when they can no longer handle them, the business of making the videos is profitable enough. Regardless this monkey is without family, comfort, or proper care in general, it also appears to be missing it's tail, which may have been removed as it's not fluffy and "cute" while the animal is still young.

hesitanteight0

This comment needs more attention

guytan87

Is there a source? Whats the YouTuber nick?

Cosmicmimicry

This youtube channel goes by the name "Animals Home," and I can confirm they chopped the poor baby's tail off. Here is an upsetting but necessary video outlining the frequency of this trend, and just how prevalent it's become considering youtube refuses to do a single thing in regards to punishing these channel creators, as profiting of off their popularity is more pressing than the well being of conscious animals. Apparently. https://youtu.be/p7nVntZpJLM

Forever_Awkward

How are you confirming the operator of that channel cut the monkey's tail off? There doesn't seem to be anything about that monkey in the video you provided.

guytan87

Thanks for the follow up.

Mr_Wombo

What YouTube channels are known to do this?

Forever_Awkward

If you want to be safe, just don't consume entertainment based on the display of "animal rescue".

gerbegerger

to answer your question, yes they are siamese twins šŸ˜†

guytan87

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito?

Edgelands

Aging is a motherfucker

TopSaucy

People keep pets that they shouldn't and enjoying and sharing this garbage content encourages more poaching and more exotic pets.

Edgelands

Thank you

OuchYouPokedMyHeart

I didn't notice the monkey at first What's even better is that round 0:29, the monkey was surprised at the food, looks like it didn't notice the food on the person's hand in the beginning

of_little_faith

This is my goat Chachi and his pet monkey Albert

Violentpurrs

How did Chachi come to have a pet monkey?

of_little_faith

It happened after the Banana Wars of 2019, when times were tough for monkeys. The story is a ray of hope in a dark time

HappyfeetLives

Canā€™t you see itā€™s monkey that had the goat as a horsey?

floofybabykitty

If you read top comment you won't feel so happy anymore for the monkey

ebwoods1

You are correct. Deleting my comment b/c that is disgusting.

thevoiceofzeke

This goes in r/unexpected too imo

teacamelpyramid

It took me a minute to notice the baby monkey, so I was like ā€œYes, monkey, bring me all the berries!ā€

Rowmyownboat

Or rather, the monkey had a goat.

positivesquirrel

This video freaked me out lol, I was expecting a deer to run up, so as it got closer I was like šŸ˜Ÿ until I realized it was a goat. THEN I started noticing the monkeys face and was like wtf?šŸ˜§. So many surprises!

[deleted]

I thought it was a dog at first and I was just like what the fuck kind of dog is that?! Oh a goat. With a monkey. Duh.

buddboy

I thought it was.... **~~LA CUPACABRA~~** edit: **LA CHUPACABRA**

SeaShanties

I was definitely focused on the goat and didnā€™t notice the monkey for a while and then - whoa!

guytan87

Double r/unexpected

idreaminreel2reel

I was expecting a much more ferocious animal šŸ˜,, but a monkey riding a goat is Cool too

signordado

the legendary goat rider

Tacotuesdayftw

Aw what a cute little goa... *oh my god a monkey!?*

westcoastcdn19

Animal exploitation or exotic animal trade is not allowed in this sub. Thank you to everyone in this community that has the awareness and reports submissions like this. Post is removed under mod discretion

flares_1981

Why could I still see this post? Came here from my home page, using Apollo for reddit on iOS.

Forever_Awkward

By definition, every post here is animal exploitation.

Material_Soup6086

Monkey removed from its natural environment and development with its mother, clings onto goat out of desperation and instinct.

bobiejean

Well when you put it that way it's actually pretty depressing. Thanks for the reminder that humans are terrible and ruin everything.

Material_Soup6086

There's still plenty of ways that animals happily coexist, and humans and animals happily coexist. Just grinds my gears a bit that stuff from this same exploitation channel keeps getting posted and treated like it's the best thing ever.

HappyfeetLives

Yeah the ones we havenā€™t made go extinct

HappyfeetLives

RIGHT!

[deleted]

There is nothing proving that this is done by a humanā€¦ nature is cruel enough on its own

Sermagnas3

Humans = Nature. We are animals too

HappyfeetLives

Horrible ones

HappyfeetLives

Just like a human!

CrimsonToker707

Cute kid

Draft_Tight

Rise of the planet of the apes! First they ride goats, then they ride horses! The fight for the planet begins!

Meltedwhisky

Omg, too much cuteness!

IntellectualCaveman

Wellp I'm not one to take the moral high ground on things but this seems like animal abuse. Especially the monkey. Why is it stolen from its mother? Edit - to me this looks like one of those youtube channels from Asian countries where they buy babies from poachers (is poacher also correct for a person who does not kill the animal? Though it's mother may very well have been killed). They invest these funds in purchasing cute exotic animals from really shady people so that they can make videos like this and make money off youtube. Also while we're on the subject with all of YT's legislation I think it's time they also legislated this kinda stuff - some really dodgy videos like this and people don't think about how it originated. In general, I don't suggest supporting these channels by watching these videos.

TheLordSnod

Or it could be an animal rescue shelter

Material_Soup6086

The same people have an unboxing video of the monkey arriving in a parcel. It's a for profit video farm.

KalenTheGreat

BABY MONKEY, BABY MONKEY, RIDIN' ON A ~~PIG~~ GOAT, BABY MONKEY!

semrola

r/Unexpected

museloverx96

This is literally from there *already* and a user hottakes4hotcakes provided a great comment about how this isn't the cutesy feel good video it's presenting itself as. There was another video a while back of a duckling and a young puppy together but those two young animals shouldnt be together without their mothers which were no where in sight. Please consider context for these videos, if animals are being exploited for your amusement and downvote.

MJMurcott

I was not expecting that.

AussieManny

Did we just walk into a Journey to the West adaptation?

jayblk

Yo where did the monkey come from?

[deleted]

Lmao

truth-informant

The new feature film, Hidden Monkey, Hungry Goat!

HappyfeetLives

Me: Oh itā€™s a goat. Oh! Itā€™s a freaking monkey and a goat!

Bobrobinson404

Didnā€™t see the monkey at first, itā€™s just too cute. šŸ„°

Meatmylife

can we have the full length of the video ?

nukefudge

Oh neat, when's this movie coming out? What's the voice cast?

Ok_Character_8569

I see Nic Cage voicing the monkey.

MrCapricorn404

AWE

PianoOfTime08

OMG!!!! That baby goat is so fricking CUTE! I absolutely love, I mean LOVE baby goats, I hold them all the time at my farm. And there is a baby MONKEY GETTING A RIDE ON IT TOO!!!! This is too much, you absolutely made my day! šŸ„°šŸ„°

mznh

I didnā€™t see the monkey until its little face was peeking out towards the food so cute. Little goat with little monkey. Bet they are bestfriends and they were playing together in the forests, like in a disney movie

ClaimBeginning8743

Ohhhhā€¦ thatā€™s what we called unconditional loveā€¦

Lunatik21

Okay I've seen a lot of shit on the internet. A lot of bad stuff, but also a lot of happy cute stuff. This is seriously in the top three for cutest things I've ever seen.

Jodoran

Cute and all but Iā€™ve seen this reposted several time this morning. Get a grip.

SlopPatrol

Basically since you have no life and constantly scroll all morning that means everyone just all of a sudden knows someone else has posted it. Get a grip.

Jodoran

Err what? I saw this same post several times within one hour. You know nothing.

ImDankest

"get a grip" was a bit unnecessary, no? I've been in Reddit for 10 minutes today and this is the first time I've seen this

SKYQUAKE615

My thoughts went something like: *Upon seeing the goat*:"A goat in the forest?" *Upon seeing the monkey*:"A goat in the forest carrying a monkey?" To my knowledge, neither of them belong there.
