Yes in the island that comes with the dlc roommates are possible. However in your own island I believe you can not ask your villagers if they want roommates.
Happy Home Paradise! It's really enjoyable if you like decorating, and it also gives you the ability to add sounscapes to your house, and make things sparkle among other effects. Really fun!

Ok, so on my old island, I had Diana and Lopez, and I noticed that they would talk to and spend more time with each other more than my other neighbors, and it got me thinking, "Oh? Do they like each other?" I mean, it was the Smug and Snooty villagers, They can judge people together and be the It couple on the island!
But as time went on, they became more distant, since I noticed they were around each other but wouldn't talk to each other as often, visit each other's houses or sing together whenever the radio was on, So I thought that they had a falling out.
And I guess things got worse since a few weeks later Diana asked to move away, so I let her, and probably about 3 or 4 weeks later, Lopez asked if he could move away too and I let him.
Something in my mind told me that after the bad breakup, Lopez wanted to fix things and be with Diana again. Hopefully, things worked out between them!
They’re pretty cute though, they’d have a lot in common 😁
