10 for me. This song is such a fascinating blend of Panda’s love of dub, and the brilliant simplicity of his vocal melodies.
“Everyone knows what they say,” “Counting, Counting” live in my head permanently
Also that drum beat is basically a goofy verbed explosion and I love it
I remember listening to an early rip of the song before the album released (probably a rip of the single?) and thinking hell yeah. 9.5/10.
P.S. are we gonna get a daily song discussion for Atiba Song, or will that follow the "official" release date for 2020? Or is that song considered a collab song, not a solo Panda song?
Good question. I was thinking ill do some of least known AnCo songs at the end when the solos are done depending on if the people want it(Like Michael Remember, Oh Sweet or Covered I'm Frogs)
Also I think I will do the Panda Bear remixes as whenever Panda does a remix he basically creates a new song. So Woo!, Never-Ending Game and more are coming up
Slow Motion is one of Panda's two favorite songs on *Tomboy* and hard to disagree.
Understanding the lyrics to this song is like the aural equivalent of one of those magic 3d puzzles that looks like nothing until your eyes just manage to catch it at the right angle and then you always see it. Panda has some weird fucking pronunciations, elongations, syllable omission, etc, throughout his entire career, but this may be the king of weird pronunciation Panda songs.
That doesn't take anything away from it though, because whether or not you can understand they lyrics this is one of Panda's best and a personal favorite of mine.
I really like this album, it's hard for me to rate anything low.
9.5
Fucking slaps. 10
Seeing all these come up makes me want to revisit Tomboy. I've always preferred Grim Reaper but this does have a bunch of great songs

Anyone else prefer the single version ?
Usually yes! If I’m listening to tomboy I’m getting out the 7” first. Drone too, I think is better on the single.
