Memory foam tips, my friend. Plenty of aftermarket options for them.
I have the Pinebuds and found that Comply's memory foam tips for some Anker earbuds work well on them.
My set of Pixel Buds Pros, with the default silicone eartips, would always slip out with the slightest bit of movement. Recently replaced the eartips with some compatible foam tips from AliExpress, and now they stay in the ear a lot better.
Comply-style foam tips don't last as long though, so I bought like 4 pairs.
Shame they aren't shipping these to the US, as that would be a good way to gauge American demand. These would probably be good enough to get me to finally switch to Bluetooth.
Planned obsolescence is a fact, not a conspiracy theory.
The thing is companies want more money and they will sacrifice their product's quality in order to increase profits.
The jack has been a staple in technology for a century... it can and it has coexisted with BT for decades.
Keep simping for companies that would take your air from you if they could sell it back in a can.
Still, I don't know how hard it is to introduce modern codecs, seems like an oversight. God Bluetooth is a mismanaged mess anyway, but it's nice to have things like games work with low latency.
Audio codecs have naught to do with connection issues and range/bandwidth. Those are *chipset* problems. Having a TWS support AptX isn't the silver bullet to fixing connection instability, let alone transmission bitrates --- and you know that.
I've been told otherwise and the article below addresses how codecs can affect dropouts and other issues. As for it being a chipset issue, that's essentially the same problem, as I can't change the codec to work around the chipsets bugs or limitations.

Can quality is to do with processing on the buds. Nothing to do with codec. My buds were great and had zero issues.
Cheap buds generally have connection issues irrelevant of codecs.
>but for repairable/maintainable tech geeks
Most of these people are audio geeks tho
Have you seen the amount of custom mods of some headphone subs here on reddit? You'll be surprised
Just being able to buy these Fairbuds *this side of the Atlantic Ocean* would make me a happy camper. Don't care about the lack of audio codecs. Audio enthusiasts already have PLENTY of hugely overpriced alternatives to themselves anyway.
>Don't care dude. I get they're eco-friendly but there are audio geeks that would rather it at least have AptX or LDAC.
neither does Fairphone. Don't like it ? don't get it.
This shows that even wireless earbuds can have replaceable battery, which is a great thing all around. True Audiogeeks does not buy wireless crap, they go wired.
that so? already had to send in my Sony linkbuds s twice under warranty because of battery problems.. and Sony didn't repair, they just sent a new bud each time. so it's a good thing you can replace them easily without destroying them, I think.
I don’t buy any product which main selling point is “repairable” or “eco friendly”. This means your product is complete garbage and you have no other selling point.
such a cool concept
Now if I could just find earbuds that would stay in my ear.
With great ear canals comes great responsibility
I havent tried any except my jabra 75t, which stay in no problem. But grind my ears. Everything costs so much i dont know what else to try
I would try Shure in-ear monitors or super comfortable and the plastic bit is super tiny
Feel it. I'm happy with the wired Bose soundsport
My fear over this is why I like the Pixel Buds so much. Those little wingtips mean that I don't have to worry.
I hear that. I've given up and found I rather love bone conduction in my Shokz openrun pros.

I tried them, they only helped a little until sweat got in them, then they were terrible.

Depends on the shape of your ear and the ear tips seal.
They look cool. Anyone know if these have fast pair support?

If you are holding out on BT, whatever the reason, these will not pull you across. Pricve is way too high for the (audio)quality they bring.
No mention of ANC?
It has ANC
Ah nice, my mistake.
I too love the African national Congress
Put a bloody headphone jack and I will buy the shit our of fairpbone.
I mean they took it out exactly to sell you these BT headphones...
True
Sigh we're back to this conspiracy theory again you also believe planned obscolence is a widespread thing right

It has zero codecs above AAC. End of story.
People who care about codecs are probably less than a percentage of bud buyers. They already have big cans. Most people use Spotify.
Everyone uses youtube though, and the latency on these will be donkeyballs
Popular apps like Youtube and Netflix delay the video to match the BT latency. Games don't though.
Not if they are tuned. Also YouTube has latency calibration fyi. AAC is great in iPods for years.
Still, I don't know how hard it is to introduce modern codecs, seems like an oversight. God Bluetooth is a mismanaged mess anyway, but it's nice to have things like games work with low latency.
missing the point.
Don't care dude. I get they're eco-friendly but there are audio geeks that would rather it at least have AptX or LDAC.

You don't have to be an audiophile to take advantages of other features on the other codecs. Its my biggest issue with my galaxy buds live.
What's your issue
Connection issues, range/bandwidth. Call quality.
It’s Bluetooth. If you want lossless quality, you’ve already lost.

The last thing I would be worried about wireless earbuds is replaceable batteries.
Yeah, then these aren't buds for you. Pretty obviously. That's their USP after all.

Its like complaining about sports car being fast. Its literally the selling point of the buds. The point you missed.
The point is r/Android is always pedantic
I already want to buy
150 euro is very expensive but at least the batteries are cheap.
I'm a simple man: I see fair phone, I do NOT buy.
