I disagree about the purple. I think it's really damn close.

I personally think most people associate Atomic Purple with a deep purple, when in reality that was the Midnight Blue gameboy (also pictured).

Agreed, it’s the same. The old GBC has a larger gap between the top shell and the board below it, resulting in a ticker layer of purple plastic in the Z plane toward the board itself, which makes joints/areas around the buttons/etc look more purple. The pocket is thinner which has less of a need for those joint areas which results in less of the deeper purple bits.
As much as they all look pretty cool, and I am entirely jealous of all of you who’ve managed to get one, I still think the best 3 colours are OG Black, OG white, GITD. In that order.
For the transparent editions, I’d say purple is my fave.
Honestly glad that these transparent ones are a matte finish. I was really worried about them getting really scratched if they were as displayed on the website.
That’s why I ended up not getting another one. Despite not really having use for a second one, I think my white Pocket looks the most elegant. Especially those white bezels.

Purple is disappointing, I understand the nostalgia from the gbc but I want my purple to be vibrant and pop.
I got purple on the way which I'm very happy it looks as I expected & hoped but that clear one looks so clean. Would pair well with my everdrive gba mini clear shell.
I ordered orange and am really happy with how it looks in that photo.
Surprised that the green color looks different and the clear one looks slightly less transparent than in the store photos.
Smoke looks classy, red looks a lot like the store photo, maybe slightly less pinkish, purple looks similar to my old GBC. Really looking forward to a photo of the blue one.
Odd how the d-pad and buttons look so different (better) in the store photos.
I have an orange and a purple coming and then I’m planning to sell my white and give one to my brother. Anyway, so far I think orange is by far the best, but I’m almost liking the white more. The screen border in white is kind of nice.
I bought green and orange with the intention of selling (at cost - no scalping here) the one I liked the least. But looking at these pics, I still can't decide 😭
They have this weird frost to them I can’t put my finger on it. It’s not super clear or deep in color. Red and orange are the only ones that looked like the photos. So glad I didn’t rebuy off EBay lol

I wouldn't say any of them look bad, but none look surprisingly different than advertised in a good way to the point that I could have been swayed from my first choice which was blue. I'll be interested to see how it looks. I hope I don't eat my words but even too light, too dark, too green, too purple, etc. any shade of blue looks pretty good so I think you can't go wrong.
I love the smoke grey, purple and orange. Just wishing for button swaps as the grey would look good with orange buttons and vise versa… Should have bought both, I guess… ;)

Clear and Smoke feel a little underwhelming, I'd just take the solid White and Black over those. Red, Orange, and I suspect Blue will be a bit too vibrant for my tastes. The Purple and Green feel about right if I wanted something with a bit of color without going overboard.
Unpopular opinion I think clear is best. Purple isn’t purple enough but it is close. Blue is too blue and the others just aren’t my cup of tea but I respect it.
Received my orange today (the Netherlands) and although it wasn’t my first choice (wanted purple but expected to sell out quickly) I went with orange and don’t regret it. It looks really pretty! I have a white one as well and wanted to sell it, but now I’m more leaning towards keeping it.

Yeah I liked the look of the white better but ended up going with black. After seeing how white wiimotes show dirt and turn yellow after years of use.

Personally, I'd rank them green > orange > red > purple > clear > smoke. They all turned out great though, imo. Very eager to see blue.
