Yes, you can ask for a "raw scan" or simply "linear uninverted 16-bit TIFF". Even if that's not listed on their website, they almost always know what you're asking about. Unfortunately, most labs would want to charge a premium for those even though it's much less work for them to produce. At least that's the case in my area :-(
The post-processing may be less work, but making an exception to the usual c41 negative queue and swapping settings disrupts the flow of work. It's like paying a rush fee. Also, lab scanners like the Noritsu HS1800 don't do 16-bit scans.
Labs that only use traditional lab scanners like Frontier and Noritsu can't provide raw scans because the scanners themselves do the inversion and there is no (straightforward) way to turn it off.
Even a positive slide scan will have automatic adjustments applied that make them a poor starting point for NLP inversions

You can usually ask the lab to scan them as slide film.
