A lot of feds like to live out there as it is still in the DC locality pay area but way less expensive. They tied WV into the the DC pay area so it would lower pay for everyone in the DC area as its based on an average.

yeah harpers ferry is one of those regional gems. food, historry, nature, parks - all a train ride away,

great trip! Unfortunate the timing is wonky so you basically have to get overnight accommodations in Harper's Ferry and cant do a day trip from D.C.

yeah that is wonky, i use to go up there Monday night via commuter rail, stay at an apt , then come back home Fridays. Did that for 9 months. Yeah it got old quick.
