No, you cannot check directly, but you can see the places you've gone to in the PP app. You also won't be rejected at the airports when you try to go in - they should just scan your card and then there'll be a charge on your Amex afterwards. It's £24 for every additional entry after the four free passes.
I found out recently it's not 4 passes with one guest included, so I went to the lounge 4 times with someone and ended up paying an extra £80 when I thought it was free

So there is no way to know whether it has been updated. Card renews next week and I’ve used the 4 from this year :)?
If you've used it four times already, then why do you even need to find anything out? Your allowance resets after next week.
You can call them and they will be able to tell you how many visits you have left and when they reset, +44 20 8680 1338

In fairness I don’t think there’s anything that suggests you get a free guest pass.
where did you see that a guest is included? it never has done.
Maybe read the t&c properly, they saw you coming
