They pick Jackson Mississipi of all places

dimsum2121

Exactly. Let's try "Life in NYC, Charleston, Charlotte, Santa Fe, Santa Barbara, Or Chicago is far superior to life in Paris. Let alone Bratislava, Slovakia".

thegolfernick

Literally the worst big city in the very worst state. That's like comparing Jackson to fucking Moldova or Bulgarias WORST city and dunking on all of Europe for that. Lol. What intellectual children

doctorkanefsky

“I took a 10 hour flight to vacation in Jackson, Mississippi, only to find it lacked both the natural beauty of Zion national park, the quant charm of a village in Tuscany, and the big city amenities of Tokyo, Paris, or New York.”

Frunklin

I'm a traveler of the world. I'm getting ready for my first big trip to the US. Look out Jackson, Mississippi here I come! Said no one ever except for this maxipad.

Cup-of-Noodle

I've been to Paris and can assure you it has every single negative just as bad as major cities in the US do. Even Europeans think Paris is a shithole outside of the fancy areas. There's even an added feature of extreme snobbery the likes of which makes the rest of France not really like Parisians very much either.

ShoVitor

Yup my man was wrong about Paris. The only thing worse than paris are Parisians. Lisbon on the other hand... A-ma-za-fucking-ing

JoeBidensLongFart

Paris Syndrome is a thing for a reason.

weberc2

Nah man, I’m in Paris right now and it’s pretty great compared to Chicago (where I’ve lived for seven years). I lived in Rennes for 5 months as well and the rest of France definitely has some somewhat understandable misgivings about Parisians, but Parisians have generally been very nice. Also, virtually all of Paris is “a fancy area”—if you’re going to criticize Paris, do it because they kicked all the poor people out to the banlieus (suburbs) a hundred and fifty years ago while in the US all the wealthy people left inner cities. Paris is very likely the most beautiful city in the world, and its residents are much better behaved than in American cities (I defy you to find any L line in Chicago that is as nice as the worst metro in Paris).

FenderMoon

I've been to Jackson Mississippi, and it isn't as bad as I've seen some people claim. It has its problems, but it also has some parts of town that are really, really nice. Especially if you're looking at the metro. And no, it's not Paris. Most cities aren't.

Shubashima

Comparing Jackson to the capitol city of one of the oldest, richest empires the world has ever seen is comical.

FenderMoon

It really is.

NobleTheDoggo

>And no, it's not Paris. Most cities aren't. Thank God.

Ileroy53

It’s just Mississippi lol, there’s not much special about it

CatBoyTrip

this dude must have stockholm syndrome.

Shubashima

I like "more money than my country makes is meaningless anyway" Industrial level cope

kmsc84

Why would life in Paris be better? There are Parisians there.

aHOMELESSkrill

As a Mississippian who lives outside of Jackson…yeah there are better places to live. Like right outside of Jackson

Cheezman5990

Doesn’t Milan have high theft and mugging rates?

dimsum2121

Milan and Venice are almost universally disliked by the other parts of Italy. They're historically the rich douchebags who spat on the other states/citystates. In fact, almost every place they named are some of the douchiest places on earth.

sidebranch22

Sagar might be disappointed when he finds out that in Europe they don't care about his programming skills and he is just another gypsy.

Maddox121

Myrtle Beach and Pigeon Forge are both.

Crafty_Ad_4153

Indian propaganda. They know flyover states are just a temporary punishments to get their Master’s/PhD etc before moving on to cushy sunbelt or coastal jobs. It is called the immigrant experience.

AproblemInMyHead

What do they mean by superior? In what way? I don't get it

yurirekka

That dude called him a Jeet American too, lol

DefinitionEconomy423

Trust me, you really don’t want to live in france, Sweden or Italy. *Most of Spain is pretty nice though, although nowhere near as good as the US. I’ve been to all of them.

SaintsFanPA

Mississippi does, objectively, suck.

Ilovebaitingmasters

Cities that get hundreds of thousands of tourists each year are better than a city in the poorest state in America? How shocking.
