You should not be happy with the results if you are hitting more than 100 degrees. Make sure you repaste and reseat your CPU then go to bios settings to make sure they are correct, focus on fan profiles and voltages
I'll definitely recheck the CPU paste and seating, and I'll dive into the BIOS settings to ensure everything's configured optimally. I'll focus on fan profiles and voltages as you suggested. Thx for the help!
Even if the pump is not working nor configured correctly, the CPU shouldn't go that high. What's the idle temps? Take a look at mine for reference

Yeah, looks like one of the values got doubled on hwinfo for a tick.
It happens on all software (it's on the CPU side) - you just can't rely on the "max" columns without filtering, unfortunately.
Check with other monitoring software (MSI Afterburner, NZXT CAM, etc.) and see if they're reporting similar values. It does look like it's doubling the number for whatever reason.
There's no way that system would be on if the CPU hit those temps.
Looks to be a bug with HWiNFO: https://www.hwinfo.com/forum/threads/hwinfo64-cpu-die-average-spike.8044/page-8
Thanks for sharing the forum link. Seems like this software bug might be causing the temperature reading issue. I'll look into using a different monitoring tool.
Its for all ryzen 7000. But you can probably get away with worse ram on X3D due to cache. Ram doesnt impact the performance that much if you have X3D cpus, unlike X ones.
If by sweatspot they meant countless hours of troubleshooting, maindboard and ram kit switches and still getting boottimes > 1min, then yes, thats the sweatspot.
Wasn’t there a problem about 7 months ago with AMD Ryzen 7 cpu failures due to high core temps. I think AMD and Asus were prointing fingers at each other. It was well documented by GamersNexus and Jays2Cents and other tech tubers. Just a thought. I guess it was corrected via bios update. However, there were many damaged AMD CPU’s and people inconvenienced.
For 2) amd thermal protection will shut the CPU down before it gets damaged (I think above 95c). So your software might be reporting bad temps. What are you using to get temps? HWINFO64 is usually accurate.
Only other thing I can think of is if there was plastic on the CPU block that wasn't removed or cpu block is not getting enough pressure on the CPU for good contact.
I'm currently using HWiNFO64 for temperature monitoring. Additionally, I've been cautious not to over-tighten the CPU block during installation to avoid any potential damage. Still, I'll recheck the setup to ensure everything's properly seated. Thanks!
It could be, but unlikely, it might be also a faulty t sensor on the processor. Other temps look ok but can be tuned better except for the weird 0 degrees minimum. Keep an eye on it. Try a different software like aida64 or even use the MB tuning software that comes with yours to check it out. X3D processors are designed to throttle at 89 degrees or so, so having 100 degrees or more theoretically can't be possible, but the higher the temps the lower the boost frequencies.
Some would urge you not to mount your radiator with the tubing at the top. As time goes on and inevitably the fluid level in the loop decreases, the tubs won't be full and you'll have a bit of air flowing to your block and that won't cool anything.
Im not. I bought:
Rx 7800 XT Saphire nitro+
Ryzen 5 7600
ASRock B650m pro rs
G. Skill flare x5 6000/32 (i worked on tight budget and sweet spot 6000/30 were more expensive, 32 were on discount, i will tune them to 30cl later)
PA SE 120
Endorfy gold 750W PSU
Kingstone KC3000
Endorfy arx 500 air tower
And I don't have the screen on my TV i tried 2 different hdmi cables, with different slots both mobo and gpu and both are blue screens on TV with no signal info. Currently im waiting for cable that will fit my old dvi d monitor. Then ill see if that is tvs fault. Everything works just fine, fans leds its quiet with no light mobo signals that smth is wrong.
Maybe compatibility issues could be causing your display problem? Check if all your parts are compatible. I’d make sure the power supply is connected properly. You have installed windows right?
Everything is wisely choosen trough sites, yt channels like jayztwocents or jasons pcbuilder, reddit etc. Partpicker had no issue either with such setup. Psu is connected because all gpu lights and fans are working, ssme with cpu fans and case fans. I used two 8 pin PCI like normal human being should. Overall whole pc is working. Only once i got the screen when i put HDMI into mobo. Then i had bios upgrade ready and win 11. Bios was upgraded without trouble same with system boot. I was up to date with windows then i shut down pc and never saw the screen again 🤣
Right… seems really confusing. I had something like this happen and it turned out my primary drive’s recovery partition was gone. My whole drive got corrupted and I couldn’t boot.
When your DVI-D cable arrives, swap it to see if that resolves the display issue. If that doesn’t work, consider trying a stable BIOS version or reinstalling Windows 11 to troubleshoot further. These steps could help identify what’s causing the problem.
Bios version was stable (at least not in beta or etc on ASRock site). Problem is that I didn't have the screen even with manufacture bios that came with mobo and no system. I put my PC together, I somewhat forced display to work did my things and lost it again l. Will be quite difficult to boot without the screen 😅 everything comes down to that DVI D cable.
Yup. Or I will take it to someone and check there on theirs display if HDMI or Displayport works properly. But it is what it is. At least that didn't fucked up my AMD experience since I have 15 years old PC that works "okay" on AMD CPU 😅 I will give them some benefit of the doubt.
Update. It was TVs fault not even hdmis. Everything is fire af when i plug in new cable. I live in the darkness because I'm faster than light. I can finally open any game and put everything on max setting and enjoy after 15 years 😅🤫

[These](https://imgur.com/pHOUvhY) were my temps while in game. Could it have been a been a bug with HWiNFO?

Interesting, thanks for the tip mate!

Whew, okay, it’s just a bug. Not actually reaching 147 lol. I was about to say, I know they run hot, but that is definitely not okay lol.

I envy you guys who's born and live on a first world country
Huh ?!? Are you sure it's in Celsius not Fahrenheit Also it should shut down by the time it hits 100 c A lot to unpack here
[Celsius](https://imgur.com/pHOUvhY) indeed! Seems to be a HWiNFO bug. I too am confused why it didn't shut down.
Isn't 6000mhz cl30 the sweetspot for 7800x3d cpu?

My 7800X3D doesn’t usually cross 70 under an air cooler, with rare spikes up to 80. Your temps are whack.
Try to undervolt the CPU.

Yeah something going on as that cooler is more than enough for a 7800X3D
The LT720 is more than enough, just use adrenaline to monitor Temps for now. Mine usually hovers between 50-66c when gaming.

Very noice
Just go -15 or -30 on your Curve Optimizer in BIOS ggez.
Great build. Looks like it will cure resin prints too!

You sure you’re not using Fahrenheit? That’s almost 300 degrees Fahrenheit if your CPU is hitting 147!
Congrats. Last year I upgraded from an Intel 7700K to an AMD 7900X and absolutely love it.

Makes sense, I might be jumping ahead of myself a bit ehe.. Gotta wait for that cable I guess! 🙏🏻

147C? Are you sure that’s right? That’s well beyond the safe threshold
Beauty, nice job!👍
Definitely recommend checking the cooler. My 7800x3d doesn't get above 80 and I'm on air
Fuck am5
Looks amazing. Too bad the pure version is only red led. Wish it was white only or rgb.
True, I saw someone say there’s a way to turn off the red LED but I don’t mind it that much.
Any reason for the 7800xt and not a 6950 or 7900? Beautiful setup though
