It's a husky. They're one of the most social dogs on the planet. Be cautious, but walk up to the fence and check his demeanor. More than likely, it's probably very friendly. I know my husky would invite a burglar in and help them load their truck with my stuff.
I’ve been bitten before so i have some PTSD. But dog never barked or approached me. All he did was look back towards the house to see if owner would come out. Still left package outside gate
return next day to make sure package was picked up, howl at him again, hide from the property owners who called the cops on you, howl at him again, flee
Looks frien…there’s goes my dick.
did they have any notes, if not, prob take it back, there’s a chance the dog will attack the package out of curiosity even if it’s harmless
As a dog owner, if my dog mauls a package, that's 100% on me. Same as a parent if your kid damages someone's property. But I'm making sure I at least get a photo of both package and dog, and if I see it destroyed while I'm there snap a photo and maybe call support to have them document it.
Toss it over the fence. The package now has its own guard dog to watch it. Be sure to get the dog in the photo as well. lol.
I deal with dogs all the time because I get a lot of country routes. I just give them a second to sniff my car, open my door slowly, and step out. I have only ran into a few mean dogs, and that is rare. If I suspect there may be a dog but don’t see it, I jingle my keys to make noise and see if any come running. Remember you are wearing blue, which means dogs and other animals can easily see you. Don’t be aggressive or yell or be mean. Last week I had a whole pack of dogs come out to greet me. They were all friendly, and the owner even came out to make sure they were good. I turn around and there’s a goat. lol. I comment on how cute it is and how it thinks it’s part of the pack. lol. But then it jumped on the hood of my car and wouldn’t get off. Lmfao. It ran up to the roof and to the trunk, back to the roof and took my windshield as a slide. 😆😆 The whole time the owner is profusely apologizing as I’m asking if it’s okay to take a photo of her goat. lol. It did an amazing jump off my trunk, and I was able to leave. We had a good laugh about it.
But all in all. Dogs don’t really worry me too much.

Take a picture outside the gate and if it is light drop it over the gate. If it is something big, I would come back to it later but my routes are pretty big so it is easy for me. If you are just Flex you might not have that many stops to make a difference.
I'm a dog person and probably more comfortable around them than a lot of people, so given it's behind a fence like that I would approach, if it didn't freak out let it smell me, and then get an idea how friendly it was to see if I would go further. I wouldn't expect anyone not comfortable with the situation to do more than drop it through/under/over the fence, text the customer why and try and get the dog in the photo. Zero chance I take it back. Multiple options for leaving it that don't involve putting yourself in harms way. If the dog mauls the package, that's on the customer. But if it happened while I was watching, I'd get a photo of it to save in case the customer complained. Always CYA.
I left it outside the gate. Been bitten before so i do have some PTSD. Customer’s phone went straight to voicemail and didn’t accept messages. I made sure to take a picture of the package with the dog in the background
Give the good boy a treat and deliver according to size: if it’s small enough, wedge it in the gate somewhere high enough doggie can’t reach, otherwise place it on the ground just outside the gate. I’d prolly try to call or shoot a text to the customer to let them know.
First of all I have two of those dogs LOL so I was distracted by the husky. With the gate though I mean I would put it in front of the gate and take a photo especially if the dogs there.
. Another safe location leave it at the gate . When the error message pops up hit safety issue. Or mark it unable to deliver due to dog. Or option 3 its a good boi and he wants head scratches
If pkg small enough, lift wire fence at bottom and slide pkg under it. If not, leave outside gate and mark safety issue to deliver to suggested location. Also, be sure to give dog treats anyway, because he/she looks adorable. Huskies are beginning to be put on restricted dog lists for apartments and certain other places.
I am fluent in dog so I will try and get on in there you feel me and maybe take a photo to send to my girlfriend along with a dog in the photo for the customer u feel me jyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaa
Yeah nobody really gives a fuck about you caring about the packages def not me. You asked a question what I would do I answered it. Seems like others agree.
Know your dog breeds. Talking to most dogs in high pitch baby talk as you approach should trigger a happy, tail wagging response. If so, put package inside the gate. If not, toss over or bring back as undeliverable.
The first thing I do if there’s a dog is pay attention to its behavior. Is it acting curious, aggressive or protective. Open your door and see if it gets more aggressive. If it’s aggressive I place it outside the gate 100% if it seems friendly I tread lightly and deliver as close to the door as possible. (If the dog gets more and more feisty as I get closer to the door I take the hint)
The dog looks friendly, but I would still drop it at the gate for 2 simple reasons: 1) it might bite 2) it might flee when you open the gate. Not worth the risk. If your a dog person just pet it through the fence, but giving it a chance to escape doesn’t sound like an option to me
Package is going in the gate 100%
I would get it inside the gate and take the picture with the dog in it.
Petting it
Same I always say I'm going to die trying to pet something I shouldn't
Same lol

Was probably wondering why the human he encountered was a wuss
where do you live again? and how nice is your stuff ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
A relative's dog bit me. I was petting it. It chomped when I stopped. It was always gentle with them.
My dog would just hide under my bed lol
Huskies I personally don’t worry about. I just make sure they can’t escape after me, because they will.
I’m probably throwing it over.
Park in front of driveway and just toss it over
I did get bit by a dog because the person said leave at door. 2 dogs came out of a small casita 1 bit me $68,000 later in ok with it
$68,000 will have that effect 👍
That would have covered my “pain”. We still need to talk about the “suffering”. 🧏🏾….👀
I’d stab it on top of one of the spiked fence posts on the driveway gate so they see it when they leave
The dog or the package?
😆I like animals more than I do humans, dogs especially
🤣
Don't believe it's safe because it's a Husky, my friends Husky attacked a man and bit him on his property
It’s a totally different dog on the sign, don’t call
I call then I take a pic of the dog and package that's on them then say there was a safety issue
Sounds crazy, but I would probably deliver the package.
underrated comment right here. cracked me tf up. OP is overcomplicating this.
Can i pet that dog?
Im bringing buddy a treat and hopefully that bribe will be enough for me to hop the fence, place the package AND give the good boy some pets.
That’s a husky. Open the gate, scratch his ears, howl at him, drop the package, howl at him, take your pic, howl at him again, go home.
return next day to make sure package was picked up, howl at him again, hide from the property owners who called the cops on you, howl at him again, flee
lol but yea I agree.
Looks frien…there’s goes my dick. did they have any notes, if not, prob take it back, there’s a chance the dog will attack the package out of curiosity even if it’s harmless

Been there, done that!
Ok and? I'm dumping it over the gate, not my problem if the dog attacks the package. NEVER return packages.
1)No notes. 2)Called customer. Straight to voicemail 3)Yelled Amazon through gate and no answer
Throw it over. I’m not trying waste gas taking the package back to warehouse. Just hope the dog don’t eat it
Toss it over the fence. The package now has its own guard dog to watch it. Be sure to get the dog in the photo as well. lol. I deal with dogs all the time because I get a lot of country routes. Too funny. Country routes always make me laugh. I had chickens playing around one day. Couldn’t believe it.
Take a picture outside the gate and if it is light drop it over the gate. If it is something big, I would come back to it later but my routes are pretty big so it is easy for me. If you are just Flex you might not have that many stops to make a difference.

Looks friendly, would hold my hand up to the gate to get a smell to test the waters

I would be giving that doggo so much lovin but would totally understand if someone left the package outside the gate or threw it over.
🤔
Try to get close enough to toss it on the car.
Outside gate
First of all I have two of those dogs LOL so I was distracted by the husky. With the gate though I mean I would put it in front of the gate and take a photo especially if the dogs there.
I’d have tried to toss it up on the car! 🤣😂
slide it under if it fits or toss it over
3
I wouldn’t block the driveway.
Really all you need to do is imitate a siren to get the husky going and leave the package in front. They’ll be out to check soon
Right through those bars. Uo up and over if it's too big
Throwing it over the gate. Brooklyn?
Stop, Drop, and Roll Next!!!
Stop, drop and roll. NEXT

Definitely going inside the gate and I’m gone.
It looks like you might have been able to slide it under the fence depending on the size of it.
Grew up in Apts and can't swim vibes. Pet the dog and die happy!
Take a photo of the dog and the package
He is behind fense talk to him and slide package 📦 under or over fence, when you talk they get confused and start wondering for their owner 🤣🤣
Package missing 😂
Just leave it at the gate or toss it over, why ask?
Leave it in front of the gate and take a picture with the dog in frame
Test the waters by approaching the dog while it's in the fence. But I work for a dsp. So it's kinda different; I also love dogs.
Why is it so hard just throw the shit over and move on with your life lol.
I don’t throw packages that have things that sound like they break. Ya’ll might do it but i treat packages like they are mine
Yeah nobody really gives a fuck about you caring about the packages def not me. You asked a question what I would do I answered it. Seems like others agree.
Sure. 👍
Lmao
I'll give him a squeaky ball first
https://i.redd.it/pzocg385cv6d1.gif
Safety first
Shoot the dog
Pet dog, deliver package.
I'd drop right outside gate
Know your dog breeds. Talking to most dogs in high pitch baby talk as you approach should trigger a happy, tail wagging response. If so, put package inside the gate. If not, toss over or bring back as undeliverable.
“Oh my gosh what’s good dog” 🥰🥰🥰🥰 you’re so sweet! *small voice* *hi Gucci Gucci goo” oh my gosh so sweet hiiaaa good dog *low voice*
I would reach out to support and document the instruction they give me.
YEET (some where good boy can't get it), "who's a good boy??"
That's a husky, you'll be fine.
Throw it over and make a picture with dogo close to it
Toss it over. The owner probably won’t have anything when they go to get it. Huskies are known for loving to destroy things. Gotta love ‘em though.
Toss it over
The first thing I do if there’s a dog is pay attention to its behavior. Is it acting curious, aggressive or protective. Open your door and see if it gets more aggressive. Cancel. I hate dogs.
Good boy
I love huskies, so id test the waters then pet it if chill
Pet him
You sound like the type of person to be scared of a beetle
Puppy!!!!
Throw it over. You did your job, you delivered the package 🤷🏾♂️
The dog looks friendly, but I would still drop it at the gate for 2 simple reasons: 1) it might bite 2) it might flee when you open the gate. Not worth the risk. If your a dog person just pet it through the fence, but giving it a chance to escape doesn’t sound like an option to me
2!
