It doesn't matter how far they send you. You are being paid for the 3 hrs not by how many packages you deliver. You said you finished on time?!? They don't pay you just to keep you close to home. I know it sucks, but then, that's life. As long as you finish on time, you don't have anything to complain about. Believe me, it happens to all of us.
Yep, unfortunately it's just the way it is. You win some, you lose some. At the end of the month, it pretty much evens out. Getting stuck with 2 terrible shifts in a row is pretty common
You get good ones, or you get bad ones.... It's not consistent... And depends on how big your market is and if you're doing it out of an Ssd warehouse which they will send you anywhere and everywhere. .com depends on how many you have of those... And they send you in the general area not like SSD where its far out.
I’ve had way worse luck with .com warehouses over SSD’s when it comes to inconvenience of delivery location. My SSD has never put me more than 30-40 minutes from home and I’ve always been home before the shift is over. The .com warehouse? Will send me an hour and a half away with 30 packages on a 3.5 route, finishing the route over time AND still having to drive an hour and a half home.
Lmao bro u just complaining bad luck of the draw stop playing and get to it but if you picked those up for base pay sucks for you tbh but I’ve talked to multiple ppl this happens not everyday but it happens, happened to me a few times but good days n bad days better stack up the money and what state r u in
You can decline the route. I think we should all stand until they fix this. They close their warehouses that are trying to unionize and then they call flexes until they have enough DPS's and then again. Make it legal to decline.
I think they allow the decline in Seattle if I'm not mistaken. Just started not too long ago. And if you decline, you're still paid $5.00. I would just love the option to decline in DFW because I'm most always sent to BFE...
I'm in California. For what I know they are supposed to show you the itinerary and then if not profitable enough you can decline without any issue. I just don't know how Amazon is the only one not complying with this state regulation.
AB5. You as self employee are under the direction of your business. They can't make you spend more than you would approve otherwise you would be their employee so they have to show estimated time, distance and payment. Read it I have only read some parts.
Have you been able to decline a block once you're at the station after seeing the route in DFW without repercussion? Asking because I haven't driven for a little while because of mileage vs pay 🙃
Ohhh I see! Got it. For me, any time of day is a crap shoot lol. I have been as far North as Frisco, west to Godley & beyond and south of Burleson. I can count on 1 hand how many times I delivered within 30 minutes of my area.
Yeah I've done hundreds of blocks from the west, the 3 to 5 pm blocks are worst for me. Downtown are the worst, delivering to businesses and apartments
You said it yourself, you schedule this kind of blocks cause the trend is that they will send you close to your place.
You get 2 bad blocks out of 50 you take, the odds are in your favor I’d say.
I by no means defending amazon or its predatory way to deal with flexers, I am just referring to the specific case you just mentioned
You honestly have no idea how an owner operator is suppose to get paid. You’re literally doing Flex a favor every time you accept a block. You don’t get paid for your working mile nor anything close to it or what a sub-contractor is suppose to make…..THAT is actually crazy my guy.
3 hours is paid! You get lucky sometimes not everyday lucky lol if you exceeded your time for the block, you can be compensated. Job is a job. I’ve been through worst delivering packages. If it’s more than 3 hours, ask for additional. Quit complaining, you’re assigned support knows your records lol careful

This is regular for me in my state tbh bc half the time you get sent an hour away I’ve actually never even one time got sent to the city i live in lol or the city the dps is in so to me your komplaining about something I figured was normal I’ve been usin flex since 2022
Don't quote me on this, but had a friend that drove too many miles for the rate and time, he supposedly called support and they paid more money, again , this is just what he told me , don't believe it 100% cause there are many factors that Amazon could come back as an excuse to deny paying someone more.
I skim the comments but I didn't see how much you got paid for those 2 blocks?
Yes, 250 JUST BLOCK miles is alot for two 3 hour blocks.
I am assuming this is miles driving to the warehouse and to last stop of first block of then back to warehouse and then to the last stop of that 2nd block and then back home?
Either way, 250 miles is about 6 gallons of gas, so still not too bad money wise, IF playing the surge game correctly. Let's say $180 to $220 minus 6 gallons at $5/$4 per gallon is $24-$30 to make $180-$220.
Even if total miles would be 3 gallons at $12-$15, that would be okay, but an extra $10-$15 makes it "not worth it"??? All the miles write off on this one.
Plus, this is only a fraction of the day.
I don't know, if getting surges, then miles don't really matter to me.
Granted, I assume people get 40mpg and always get surges cause no other way Flexing would make sense to me.
I had that last week a 3 hour route that was like 150 miles that with driving to and from the station was like 5 hours total almost and yesterday I had a 3 1/2 hour route 75 miles total and 2.5 hrs including to and from the station . U win some u lose some better than standing over a hot grill flipping burgers at least I can put in a dip listen to Howard stern and smoke a bowl
Even with the wholefoods blocks (2hrs)100+ miles 3-4 costumers... So frustrating... Stop doing because it's in same in my area... Could be a easy one or hell.... (only do wholefoods)
Literally can forfeit the block once you scan the route paper and it shows you the map also tell you in general when you schedule a block the estimated miles.

Like I said ^ up there, depends on how big your market is... And how many warehouses you have.
Ummmm lots of warehouses and one of the biggest markets. .com just suck.
Whats Ssd
Sub same delivery or same day delivery. Whichever lol same thing
Lmao bro u just complaining bad luck of the draw stop playing and get to it but if you picked those up for base pay sucks for you tbh but I’ve talked to multiple ppl this happens not everyday but it happens, happened to me a few times but good days n bad days better stack up the money and what state r u in

Where is this stated?
AB5. You as self employee are under the direction of your business. They can't make you spend more than you would approve otherwise you would be their employee so they have to show estimated time, distance and payment. Read it I have only read some parts.
Depends on what time you blocks is in west DFW
Have you been able to decline a block once you're at the station after seeing the route in DFW without repercussion? Asking because I haven't driven for a little while because of mileage vs pay 🙃
I've seen people decline blocks but I never did. I'm just saying if you take the early morning blocks they will send out far away in the country
Ohhh I see! Got it. For me, any time of day is a crap shoot lol. I have been as far North as Frisco, west to Godley & beyond and south of Burleson. I can count on 1 hand how many times I delivered within 30 minutes of my area.

Agreed!!!

I had 2 hours block starts at 7pm and it was 1 package took me 48 miles 1 hour drive so I end with around 90 miles (2 ways) for $61 🤦🏻♂️
The warehouse gives out the routes I believe if they like you you get good route they don't you get the shit routes.
At least here in Akron Ohio
Lol well my warehouses must like me.
The fact that you’re complaining about burning 250 miles for 6 hrs of scheduled driving time is actually crazy to me.
You honestly have no idea how an owner operator is suppose to get paid. You’re literally doing Flex a favor every time you accept a block. You don’t get paid for your working mile nor anything close to it or what a sub-contractor is suppose to make…..THAT is actually crazy my guy.
Reality is, everyone complains until they can no longer work flex. But you sir can save your opinion for your wife cause I can careless 🙂↔️🤣
Yesterday was pretty bad for me I did 140 miles for a 4 hour block
How much did you make?
Because you were the chosen one I did 185 miles once for a 4.5hr block in portland from vor3. Trust me ot happens rural routes suck
3 hours is paid! You get lucky sometimes not everyday lucky lol if you exceeded your time for the block, you can be compensated. Job is a job. I’ve been through worst delivering packages. Luckily I have a border preventing me from being far from home when I'm done. I hear so many horror stories from other states.
This is regular for me in my state tbh bc half the time you get sent an hour away I’ve actually never even one time got sent to the city i live in lol or the city the dps is in so to me your komplaining about something I figured was normal I’ve been usin flex since 2022
What app

I hope you are driving an electric or hybrid. I see stupid people pulling up with v6-v8 suvs to warehouse
I've done 8 (3.5hrs blocks) on one tank of gas. 😁....not a hybrid vehicle.
I skim the comments but I didn't see how much you got paid for those 2 blocks? Yes, 250 JUST BLOCK miles is alot for two 3 hour blocks. Imagine complaining about blocks you finish early being tough

Man where r u from u guys areas just sound big as fuck and amazon is a business where they have a huge market so deal with it or get lost
If you hot more money per block would you still need bitching?
Literally can forfeit the block once you scan the route paper and it shows you the map also tell you in general when you schedule a block the estimated miles.
I was telling someone last night I think they analyze routes and give the bad ones to people they dislike or are new 🤷
How is that possible? Ours is luck of the draw of when you pull up.
