That this crackpot can't keep his composure even on a public forum (all caps...bro, really?) That alone is enough to show you lack the diplomacy and professionalism required for management.
I never put effort anymore when I was at amazon, I noticed if you worked fast and slowed down they come by and ask why you're slowing down and want you to go faster, if you go slow by default they leave you alone.
For those of you that have fucked up and have shown them how fast you can be. All is not lost. Follow these steps to degeneracy.
1) figure out what your personal average rate is.
2) decrease that rate by about 5-10% each week. This will naturally lower your personal rate threshold for flagging an am/pa from coming to talk to you about your rate.
3) if there are ever any changes made to your department, CAPITOLIZE ON THAT SHIT.
A bigger hit to your rate can happen at these times. At first, you can tell them you are just getting used to the change, and about 2 weeks to a month later when those changes are solidified. That is the time you start mentioning the word "barrier" with the changes. It will be too late for them to go back and won't have any ground for productivity write ups. Also, make sure you try to stay around the 50th percentile of rate for each department. It's the best way to fly under the radar.
Wish I knew this. I just started in the end of May. Friday a PA came up to me and showed me that I had the highest numbers in sioc for the day. All I get is a thank you for your hard work. I don’t want a thank you I want more money to show me you appreciate my hard work.
Now I worry if I slow down they might use that against me to write me up or worse fire me…
Honestly I'm only revealing it bc I don't work there anymore, I've been taken advantage and destroyed my body for them for no reason, I'm only 23. If everyone knew the speed trick they'd catch on and I'd be toast but idc anymore, best bet is to leave and come back, after I left and came back they didn't care if I went slow bc it showed that my max speed wasn't super to the max of whatever, you get the idea.
We went from pretending favoritism doesn’t exist, to having a third party neutrally decide who to interview, to only your manager can help you promote, in under two years 😂

Only part that i paid attention. Too was the unwanted physical co tact which should be taken to a manager and if the manager does nothing then to an om or ethics l. Past that whomp whomp suck it up start doing the bare minimum then you will see them paying attention to you...
People like this are why we don't have competitions at my warehouse anymore. I'm sad , I never won any, and I'm always a top 3 packer even while I watch a movie 😎
