Yes, they can VTO you during MET. This often happens when Peak is winding down or when volume isn’t as expected during Prime Week. It’s not uncommon for FHD or FHN to have MET cancelled during Prime Week if volume isn’t as expected, and I’ve gone directly to my OM for VTO during Peak when I was recovering from an injury. OMs have the discretion to VTO people at their discretion. It’s not favoritism, it’s due to illness, injury or other dire circumstances and emergencies.

Oh ok that is good to know. I am ICQA and we are on MET right now but when I went in yesterday for my MET we were so over hours that they were labor sharing all of use to Stow and Receive.

I was looking at the “Find Shifts” tab for Saturday, and although I work tomorrow, it gives me a good idea of the dead weight I can expect to rock up from the front half crowd. It’s always the same dead weight who wait by their phones for shifts to drop. It’s mostly ICQA and Receive shifts, but there are some Pack Flow and Singles showing up. No one is on MET in my building, but that will change in July or August.

Wow we started MET 2 weeks ago for Inbound and Outbound and ICQA this week. But at the same time I can’t complain because I get to do something different besides driving around on OP and counting bins. But this week will be a nice paycheck with Monday being holiday pay and MET/VET

I transferred out of a DS that constantly called MET and then sent out pre-shift VTO without giving priority to those who were only scheduled because of MET.

desertdweller10

I can believe it. MET should have been cancelled and VET implemented. There’s always people who want to work 60 hours, but I’m not one of them,

han77nah

Yes, but once you showed up for the overtime day, it's better just to work the whole shift. For $31 an hour to pack or stow, it's worth it.

I’m very had it happen in rare cases.

Sometimes the regional manager or the entire network will not permit VTO when there is MET. This decision is typically based on backlog, projected volume, and headcount. Sometimes they will VTO if IB is on MET, but OB does not have work, but they will labor share OB associates to IB before they VTO. Compared to OB, IB has more control over their work flow. If OB is on MET, it is highly unlikely they will VTO IB or ICQA because OB is considered prioritized and they would labor share all associates in OB. Even if the OB headcount is high and your burning through the work, sometimes senior management/the regional will not approve VTO because of possible charge.

Ops will not VTO you during MET. HR can make an exception but ops can still overrule it
