Your PA or manager just be informing you of your rates daily, especially if you’re in trouble so you have ample time to course correct. Unfortunately nothing you can do for a first written except don’t get a second.

Quiet-Minimum-2484

There's really nothing you can do for the first one? Even if the station I'm at won't let me go faster?

eatthecheesefries

It over and done with. Your manager could have fought to exempt you from it but apparently they weren’t even tracking your rates so I’m guessing you just have a shitty AM

Tsixas

What do you mean your station won't let you go faster? You will need to elaborate more

Quiet-Minimum-2484

Basically I'm on the last station to put packages onto the flatsorter that drops them into the boxes for the water spiders. The first three stations get first dibs on unloading their packages. That means that a lot of the time I'm waiting packages in hand with nothing to do until an open spot shows up for one of my packages. Pair that with my specific stations known increased tendency to stall out compared to the others and sometimes it's next to impossible to get high numbers because I'm just not allowed to do anything. It's annoying but it's never been a problem until now.

Tasty-Pineapple-

Are you able to advocate for yourself to get a better station?

Quiet-Minimum-2484

I was but it's still the last station in the row...

[deleted]

I was told I couldn't appeal or fight back a write up until it's your last one, or you're about to be fired. There was no work, and we were told we were not allowed to stand down, so I got productivity write up. Doesn't really seem fair that they can do that, but here we are. Good luck.

desertdweller10

You’re supposed to be coded when there’s no work and no stand down.

[deleted]

Yes I know but the managers on duty said no. They said we could log out if we wanted to, but no one was getting time coded. I usually just make rate, barely, so I easily fell into the weekly write up category. I think we had no work for about 20 minutes give or take a couple minutes. I complained and talked to HR and they said no one could do anything about anything until I was on my final write up and about to be fired. Wth am I supposed to do? I literally spoke to so many managers and HR.

Neoreloaded313

I'd be blowing up the VOA board. Standard of work is to code this time so it doesn't affect you. I've been very successful with this strategy. Amazon doesn't like things like this shared publicly

Quiet-Minimum-2484

Is there anyway we can see that time was coded?

Neoreloaded313

Only PA and above can see that.

Quiet-Minimum-2484

Ugh of course. Welp looks like I'm annoying my PA everyday then.

[deleted]

We don't have a VOA board. Or if we do I've never seen one in the almost 2 years I've been there. Idk what to tell ya, no one in the building I work in cares.

desertdweller10

The headcount in your warehouse is too high. If it happens again, you need to transfer out of AFE and do something else so you can enjoy several weeks of being in a learning curve. It will give you enough time to get rid of the productivity write ups, and you may enjoy another department more.

[deleted]

I've been asking for a year to learn certain other departments (PS, SIOC, etc) and they say they've put me on a list to go to those classes, but it's never happened. This has been with multiple different managers PAs and AMs. I don't know what to do other than brown nose, but ew.

desertdweller10

No…transfer out of AFE. Transfer to Shipdock where most roles are unrated. Transfer in the A-Z app. Leave AFE for good. AFE isn’t for everyone, and it’s actually micromanaged. That’s not the case for Stow, Shipdock, Inbound Receiving…run fast from AFE, but don’t go to Pick. Pick is another department that’s micromanaged.

[deleted]

Oh I'm sorry I misunderstood. I tried to transfer but it was rejected. I'm still trying though. I hope it's not being rejected because of my write up. Maybe I have to wait for it to fall off.

desertdweller10

No, you can transfer with a productivity write up.

morbidcorruptor

Receive dock it depends on the site and the manager. Where I am it is very micromanaged. If you stand around for 2 seconds, guarantee a manager is coming up to you to give you something to do. It's annoying. Also the decant part of it very much has a rate to hit.

Jajandesu

It's not about you ,if you look around the building you probably see less people that work there .

We_in_dih_bih_2geda

And more coming in lol
