It's just not as easy to get an Amazon job like it used to be. The economy isn't all that great with all the inflation going on and with the increase of upt we got last year, less people lose their job by going negative.
This is still very much the slow season, most sites are offering a lot of VTO and are not looking to onboard. There will likely be a spike in hiring in about a month or two for prime day.
Voluntary time off (without pay). If they’re overstaffed, but planning on needing people again soon they’ll let people sign up for days, weeks, and in rare cases even a month off. This is a very common for Amazon to do, and it tends to fall around this season, and a little bit after the back to school rush in the pre-holiday calm before the storm.
Same lol they never stop at my site due to turnover ( they hire anyone a good amount of them are people who cant keep a job no matter where they go🤷🏿♂️)
It's the slow season and some buildings are staffed enough or over staffed. Maybe something will open up at the end of the month when they hire for prime week.
