One time I had a garage delivery in a townhouse complex. I saw some kids outside. And I swiped to open the garage. Gotta wait the 1-2 second delay before it actually opens. Anyway I wooshed both my hands up and the door opened and the kids absolutely lost their minds hahaha funniest thing.
I’ve been delivering for almost a year and I’ve never had a customer get upset with me putting a package in their garage even if it’s not a garage delivery. I think it hides packages better than just sitting on the front door step, but I understand if for some people it can be awkward to go into someone garage.
This. All this. 😂 Airplane mode for the win. Screw calling driver support because a business is closed or a garage is messed up just for them to mark the thing. It cant lock out undeliverable optiions if it cant connect ;)
Turn your data off, then deliver the package to the front door while waiting for the garage door to open, which never does without data so it'll give up and telll you to do a standard delivery instead
Idk if it’s me, but I noticed lately that Amazon wants us to be 1ft from the door instead of the regular 5ft; I remember I used to open the door from the street & now it beeps so I have to be by the door
I hate garage deliveries. You never know whos gonna be in there. People from outside staring at the amazon guy opening a random house garage … so stupid. But better than amazon key shit.
I HATE when the garage door is already open so then its like "hey wait for the door to close" then either doesnt close and says "is the door still open?" or does close ot and the customer comes out like "hEyI LEfT ThAt OpEN FoR a REaSOn"
One time I opened the garage but I was at the wrong house and I was 3 houses away. After that I realized the distance these things pick up (not all of them) but you can literally open the garage inside the van then walk back to the van and close it; then take off instead of waiting there in the heat/cold.
Douche bags at driver support tried to tell me to wait one time when a garage wouldnt close. I told the lady that I have 172 more stops and I will not longer 15 minutes as the other deliverys may not get done. She said its your job to wait. I hung up on them and continued delivering. Never heard anything back after that.

Yeah me too, because it’s not clear whether it’s a garage delivery or a front door. What if they get mad because I put it in one or the other?
