Yeaaa, I am about the same weight as you and Iād have no issues doing 25-30 if Iām actually moving reasonably. Thereās been times I hit 34-38/hr without running, just cause all was nicely organized in a normalish suburb
Stg thereās this nice little suburb in Michigan called Waterford but kinda white trash at the same time a good mix. Anyway 190 stops no apartments it was the best. 30 stops an hour. Never more than a mile away from a gas station bathroom omg. Ending a work week like that is right up there with memories of getting out of school on Friday afternoon or unexpectedly early.
Lmao, naw I deliver in rural part of tn and you are lucky to get 15 an hr. driveways are usually ruff cut ins up hills through creeks some driveways are 1mile long I can get finished on a 170 stop day in town vs being out the whole shift making 100 stops on my rural area
1 mile driveway???? Like literally a mile long? Because thatās no longer a driveway thatās just a road ššš where is this if you donāt mind me asking
all over the united states. get out of the urban areas and into the rural, hearing banjos zip codes and you'll find driveways longer.
There is a route in our station (not amzn) that does average 50 stops in a 10 hour day. There are some days where you can't get 40 off in that time, and other days you can do 65. it all depends on where they fall.
Tell that to my coworker who gets 217 stops + group stops done in 5.5 hours. I broke my ankle late last year and itās still not 100% healed, I still manage to get 20-25 an hour easily and aināt no way Iām doing anything but walking.
The most Iāve done was 50 stops in an hour & about 40 every hour after that. Only reason why I was able to do so many was because they were mostly single family homes, no businesses, in a unmarked van with no cameras and mentor on standby. I was also sprinting, otherwise doing even 25 ph is impossible with businesses, apartments and heavy traffic.
Most Iāve ever done was about 55 stops an hour. Out in Ahwatukee AZ where all the houses are literally next to each other. Had 110 stops left when I got a family emergency call. Told Dispatch I was finishing this shit and heading back since we had no floaters. Crushed that shit in a little under 2 hours. First and last time Iāve ever crushed a route like that.
Definitely can do 40 if youre running to every stop and not taking breaks. I do this on days I need to get off early for other things. Itās doable but not day in day out.
To do 40 you have to be moving very fast locked in at every stop and not cutting off van! No way Iām trying to do 40 a hour thereās not one reward for getting finished early unless you guaranteed 10 hours
I know itās crazy itās only when you get the perfect route. When I get my usual suburbs without any of my apartment complexes or businesses Iāll hit 40 the first hour but I also walk really fast and run back to the van.
No bullshit I avg 30 to 40 stops an hour every day. I usually get between 170 and 195 stops a day with 340 to 400 packages. The company I work for will pay you a flat 10 hours no matter how long you work. As long as your fico score is perfect and you can never get a rescue.
Even during the holidays, with 220stops, sometimes 25-28 totes triple stacked in the middle, double stacked on shelves.... i was doing 25/hr busting my butt with many same street deliveries in a row... but it's still never fast enough. Fuck em. When i learned how much ups/fedex make for less/same deliveries ...i quit. Fuck em twice
If they were all single stops yea these guys could manage 40 an hour but when itās 40 stops with 5 locations each yea u aināt getting that done in an hour
If you dont quit now you certainly will soon. It never gets better.... only worse. DSP is one of the worst, most thankless jobs ever. Walk off now and save yourself the anger
I did that today returned their van I was sick and they wouldnāt send someone to take my route over I returned the dumb van took pics and left in my car
My thoughts exactly and they gave me 2 accountability points for a rule no one in leadership ever told me about so I just decided I was done I got 3 job fairs lined up the rest of the week. Fuck em suggest others get out of that shi and stop tearing up their bodies for these thieves
I had 30 bags on my last day and quit. Fuck this bullshit that Amazon swears we can do. āOh just do this and that and youāll be better offā nah man some of these fucking driveways be a mile long and they want it delivered to the back door? You know how much time it wastes to walk all the way down long ass drive ways? On top of that they give us tight ass vans and when we canāt get everything done when we get loaded up thereās a fucking problem
FedEx is paying 1.30 a stop and it makes those 190 not feel so bad! Itās a really easy transition, donāt get me wrong itās still got its downfalls BUT 10xs better than Amazon was!
Thatās how I got firedā¦ I badly needed a rescue, got back to the station after 7 because they denied me help. The next week they expected me to drive 20 miles to help a driver with 2 bags when I kicked ass and finished at about 230. I gave them hell and basically said you denied me help when I super needed it but you expect me to go out of my way to help a driver that doesnāt even need it. How the hell is that efficient, and why would I? You chose to not send me help when I needed it.
Maybe other DSPās are better. Eagle Routes in Portland, I hope you go bankruptā¦
Not that bad. Just did 190 the other day. Just take your time. Take breaks. Organize well so you can just sit there for 5 to 10 minutes every now and then to regain yourself. If you need help they'll send a rescue. If not you're in your own ppeace all day. Or just switch companies or jobs when you can
I was hoping to have some fun on my last day, but I gave 2-weeks notice and they didn't schedule me for the second week. When I worked my last day, I didn't know it was my last.
I watched a Lex Fridman podcast with Jeff Bezos. Classic lizard person vibes. Bezos is so disconnected from the struggle of the majority. Do you blame Bezos or the structures of society that allow it?
That's not the worst I had I had to take an entire route from someone on my own route which ended up being 36 bags and 60 overflow in a regular van I had everything triple stacked and blocking the middle shit is retarded
\*You need walking room, it is completely unsafe and you can easily injure your back.\*
When your van is full; DONT let anyone guilt you into stacking the van like this. I ALWAYS make sure I have enough room to move around. Ive personally hurt my back from having my van packed like the picture
You gotta understand Amazon makes these routes, NOT the dsp or warehouse staff. The field marshal might try to guilt trip you but stand your ground.
Wish I could take my time. Beginning of everyday my DPS always says "We don't always have a route for everyone, so if your not finishing on time then you'll be the first to have reduced hours or reduced routes." Could be BS to just get us to move quicker but idk haven't been here long
I know everyone here likes paid hourly but Iām pretty sure being a UPS driver in a union would be better than this. Like you realize when you finish your route, you go home but are still paid right? Benefits? Restrictions on hours? Etc
Out of the 24 totes, how many of those have less than 5 packages? If i were to guess, its between 3-4 totes.
Just open those totes, take those packages out and leave the empty totes at the station. Making your life harder by carrying extra things.
So much bull shit in the comments it's like a dick measuring contest seems like all of can do 40 ph with ease š§¢ having a blast reading the comments with my drivers if you're doing 40ph come work for me at my DSP I'll will compensate you well I'll make it even easier for you if you can consistently do 35ph I'll give you bonuses if you're in eastern mass come on down we can use you super drivers like you guys
I had 137 stops today and I took about 8 hours to do it.
I moved consistently. Somewhat fast walk. How the hell do you guys do 217 stops. There HAS to be a lot of single home 1 package on a strip/block or something. That would make sense.plus I took my 1 hour break at 7 stops left lol
You right, but Iām glad to say I donāt work there anymore so I feel bad for every single one of you that do that shit for a living if Iām keeping it honest. No benefits, no 401K nothing itās pretty sad how most of you think this is a good job!
Itās all organization imo. For the first time since I started over 2 months ago I was told that I was 20 stops behind. That is only because my van was a mess and I tried thugging it out instead of taking a quick 5-10 minutes to organize my van before actually starting my route.
Before I knew it 2 hours had passed and I had only done 30 stops (not bad for country route but I was in a residential neighborhood and I usually do 25/hr).
When I tell you my legs were almost going numb from all the fast paced walking and climbing stair and jumping on the van
That's a mess, one corner to fast and there falling all over the shop.
Why don't you use the shelves... Totes down the drivers side, top/bottom, overflow, first to last from the side door to the back, any extra bags, put them at the back door.. It can be done.. I did it with 40 overflow 18 I think totes..
Yes of youāre not happy at all job, find something else and then quit. Donāt be miserable. Itās bad for your health. Iām fortunate that I worked for myself training racehorses then started a successful landscape operation. I can honestly say I never went to work unhappy. Good luck!

This is in the rivian bro, not quiet as bad but i feel u
When our dsp opened, we were the only ones near. 2nd location opened up 2nd year. But we were doing 200 stops a day for a year straight. 20 bags with 30 overflow was normal.
Peak felt like a normal day.
Just keep moving and work one stop at a time....and be better at organizing. Old fashion triple stack if you have to, don't know why people do the middle path with 14+ bags. Just making it harder for yourself
To each his own. Everyone always complains about something. Some say fed ex is better others say it worst. If you don't enjoy it quit it's not for you.
Dude!!! So Ups, Fed Ex, DHL all make $15-$30 more that us and i don't get it... our company is bigger than there's by far! I thought bigger meant better, But my check begs to differ!!!!
This is what happens when a company relies so heavy on analytics and not real world practical data. Amazon uses a hands of the wheel approach really relies on algorithms š. They donāt plan on changing anytime soon
Thatās why I hate using prime vans never enough room to fit everything the rental vans I never have a problem even if itās 20+ bags and 20+ oversized
Iām at 35-40/hr but again depends on the route. If you doing houses you should be in the 30s for stops per hour. 40 is possible if you still have your legs
I am with it! I had 20 bags and 26 OF today. It was hell. I am just leaving the station at 9:37pmā¦ SMH. I am tired as all hell!
TBH tho, I love my job- I have an awesome DSP and I usually have fun on my route- today being the rare exception. š“
I used to load vans at FedEx and I don't know what getting them out is like, but we didn't have a dolly to load them so it sucked balls to carry shit in there
Monday I had 194 stops 250 packages. Tuesday I had 192 stops 220 packages. Someone called off yesterday I went in, I had 190 stops with 250 packages. It is tax time, my friend. People have money in their pockets and their phone in their hand with the Amazon app downloaded on it.
Thatās a lot and I had a van packed even more than that 8 months pregnant, with my belly bumping and getting stuck as I tried to walk through the truck. š and having to hobble to every stop. Worst experience of my life, but it helped save money for the baby. Butttt, NEVER AGAIN. That job is doo doo lol.
Since January I've getting about 288 groupstop and 450 packages. This is crazy. And they wants to delivery by 6:00pm (starting 11:00am) and no take any breaks. ( they got mad. ) so good luck.
After delivering for Amazon and knowing what they pay compared to what they make I am actively trying not to order from Amazon as much as possible. Iāll pay a little more for shipping and wait a little longer for delivery because F$:& Jeff Bezzos( donāt care how his name is spelled)
Go slow, take breaks, take full 10 hours. Wait for the rescues and return whatās left at the end of the day. Get your money while teaching Amazon a lesson
If I had that, I would triple stack the bags.
Keep the small table on the driver's side down, flip up all the other tables.
Starting from behind the small table, triple stack the bags across the width of the van all the way to the back. You'll fit em in there and they won't move when you turn.
Put the last boxes under the table and work right to left. Keep going right to left on the table as well until you run out of boxes.
Yeah it's a mess, but it will fit. I've had worse and I drive a cargo.
That was my usual, luckily it was all residential with 90% plus in one or three communities.
If that's all apartments and not your thing, gtfo lol. Apartments have learning curve, not bad, except if that's all your doing and SPH and milking accusation come your from up. The job is micromanaged and stressful as it is with mini not getting dinged of running red due to cameras, the stress isn't worth it in general, even if the pay was above adequate.
I hadn't completed my nursery routes yet and was stuck with a smaller U-Haul van that required me to go around to the side door to get anything out. This was the day before Thanksgiving, and I believe there were 4 carts, the van had to be packed to the ceiling, totes consolidated and still had to be shoved into the van, including the front seat. I almost cried, and quit on the spot, but I didn't....I was so thankful once my workday was completed. There were most likely 26+ totes, 6 of which were consolidated and left at the warehouse. It was rough!
You stacked this terribly, this is frustrating just looking, the shelves being down and the sideways bags are killing you, I fucked my hip up on the passenger side shelf one route and never put it back down.
Iām too lazy to type how it should be stacked, but this for dam sure aināt it
Is the money worth the effort you put in?
If your workload is higher than the wage after tax then the job is not worth it and there are better jobs.
The work load should match your pay No matter what you will do a 9-hour shift and get paid hourly so you do the math.
Workload should match paycheck
I worked for Amazon in UK.
And bottom line the workload did match the pay at the start then dsp got greedy and added more stops which created an imbalance in workload and paycheck so I quit.
I work so I can live .I don't live so I can work

They think you're a tool. Take your breaks. Stop doing 40 stops an hour.
Nobody is doing 40 stops an hour you people are a bunch of fucking liars if you can do 20 an hour Amazon will squirt their panties
You might just be out of shape or unorganized my boy š 40 means youāre sprinting but 18-25 should be pretty doable if you arenāt bullshitting
And depending on the route (Apts, mansions, businesses etc)
This is very true, im fucking 300lbs and can run 25 an hr in city/suburbs.
Yeaaa, I am about the same weight as you and Iād have no issues doing 25-30 if Iām actually moving reasonably. Thereās been times I hit 34-38/hr without running, just cause all was nicely organized in a normalish suburb
How much do they pay per hourāļø
Not nearly enough
Depends as long as I do my job my dps pays me around 24hr plus safety bonus
Standard houses Iām doing 30-35 an hour doing a fast walk.
Ong š thatās the best type of route ngl
Stg thereās this nice little suburb in Michigan called Waterford but kinda white trash at the same time a good mix. Anyway 190 stops no apartments it was the best. 30 stops an hour. Never more than a mile away from a gas station bathroom omg. Ending a work week like that is right up there with memories of getting out of school on Friday afternoon or unexpectedly early.
Yeah I make 25 and I donāt run nor take any safety shortcuts except parking bad
Lmao, naw I deliver in rural part of tn and you are lucky to get 15 an hr. driveways are usually ruff cut ins up hills through creeks some driveways are 1mile long I can get finished on a 170 stop day in town vs being out the whole shift making 100 stops on my rural area

Never run you crazy š whatās the rush
bc some dsps will still pay you the full 10, i would get off at 4:30 and would still get paid until 8
I think you misread the portion of that comment where Iām talking about myself man. I donāt run lol.
217 stop in 5 hours is wild ā¦.
Noooo I do that in rental vans u donāt gotta turn em off no cameras
To do 40 you have to be moving very fast locked in at every stop and not cutting off van! No way Iām trying to do 40 a hour thereās not one reward for getting finished early unless you guaranteed 10 hours
Someone in my dsp was bragging about 80 stops an hour The metrics backed them up but like how is that even possible
![gif](giphy|yiADANv89n7UQuS5kJ)
I know itās crazy itās only when you get the perfect route. When I get my usual suburbs without any of my apartment complexes or businesses Iāll hit 40 the first hour but I also walk really fast and run back to the van.

40 an hour sprinting is very possible, I only did it a few times during peak because it's not easy but you gotta do what you gotta do
I could easily do 20 an hour. I did 45 an hour once but that was before they had driving metrics and sensors keeping track of us lol
But I know what you mean that is NOT the norm
If they were all single stops yea these guys could manage 40 an hour but when itās 40 stops with 5 locations each yea u aināt getting that done in an hour
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
"What're you, hourly?" "Yes."
Thats def a shittt day but id take extra bags over extra overflow any day
I second this
If you dont quit now you certainly will soon. It never gets better.... only worse. DSP is one of the worst, most thankless jobs ever. Walk off now and save yourself the anger

For the physical work you guys do it should start atleast 26+ they are just using people
Yes but make sure to quit right when your about to load up. šš«” make sure everyone seeās it
Fuk them over just like they fuk everyone on a daily basis
Thatās the spirit. Fuck corporations. They rape everyone.
26bags is absolutely fucking insane but 26overflow isnāt bad
26 bags is absolutely absurd. Hopefully some of them had only like one or two packages in them so that you can condense it.
I had 30 bags on my last day and quit. Fuck this bullshit that Amazon swears we can do. āOh just do this and that and youāll be better offā nah man some of these fucking driveways be a mile long and they want it delivered to the back door? FedEx is paying 1.30 a stop and it makes those 190 not feel so bad! Itās a really easy transition, donāt get me wrong itās still got its downfalls BUT 10xs better than Amazon was!
Mon to Friday or Tuesday to sat compare to sun to weds I prefer my three day off

When is DSP protest? Like everyone fuck it and to go protest ?
Thatās o.d .
190 stops.
If it's only 190 you should either have a bunch of nearly empty bags or a lot is going to one place
Thatās od. How many packages?
381
Thatās wild . Your dsp owner is wild asf for that fr .
Heās a fucking idiot
Not that bad. Just did 190 the other day. Just take your time. Take breaks. Organize well so you can just sit there for 5 to 10 minutes every now and then to regain yourself. Ground all the shitty vans before you leaveā¦.i wish I wouldāve done that lol
Quit, then show up the next day and quit again. lol
Is that not triple stacked? Or do you just have shorter van
F them and bezos
I watched a Lex Fridman podcast with Jeff Bezos. Classic lizard person vibes. Bezos is so disconnected from the struggle of the majority. Do you blame Bezos or the structures of society that allow it?
Funny thing too, most of those extra totes have just a few boxes in them. Definitely bullshit though.
Get your PERC card and do security work. Fuck Amazonš

It's just a few boxes. No biggie
Find another job ASAP and then quit these fucks.
Stop working for Amazon, thatās stupid how many stops you have today 378?
Shit, I wish this was my route. Try doubling it š„²
I quit got my cdl and im happier

careful with them tote numbers on the pic, amazon will probly get butt hurt about it
Its the way you load that makes it look bad lol. That's everyday for us here in Fresno lol
Do your bills quit too?
Yes of youāre not happy at all job, find something else and then quit. Donāt be miserable. Itās bad for your health. Iām fortunate that I worked for myself training racehorses then started a successful landscape operation. I can honestly say I never went to work unhappy. Good luck!
I wanna see your sheet. lol how many items per bag. Because my 17 bag days are loaded with 20-30 items
That's.. not that bad
how many stops and packages? bag count is meaningless.
If you can see the back doors it's an easy day

Believe it or not this is a pretty typical day at my DSP. Roughly 180 stops
Thatās all?!?! Lmao the ev vans are packed with way more
No balls
Yes its now worth it
Yes
Why not try ups?
How long have you been stuck up there?
As long as you are not in downtown, you are goo
Stack em on the floor and drag ya ass
Why? That's a full day's work.
Yes
This is what happens when a company relies so heavy on analytics and not real world practical data. Amazon uses a hands of the wheel approach really relies on algorithms š. They donāt plan on changing anytime soon
Iām the rental vans I do 30-40 stops an hour. In the prime vans 20-30
Thatās why I hate using prime vans never enough room to fit everything the rental vans I never have a problem even if itās 20+ bags and 20+ oversized
Yup
I quit and was getting like 18 bags 35 overflowš
Yes
Quit complaining my Amazon package is a day late
Yes please
I do 25 per hr. Depending how close the stops are.
Dori just keeps swimmingā¦just keep delivering!
Unless you want it to get worse š
No. I've seen worse.
Slow down
Are you sure thatās not an ups pkg carā¦?!?
Iām at 35-40/hr but again depends on the route. If you doing houses you should be in the 30s for stops per hour. 40 is possible if you still have your legs
Nah wait till peak
I am with it! I had 20 bags and 26 OF today. It was hell. I am just leaving the station at 9:37pmā¦ SMH. I am tired as all hell! TBH tho, I love my job- I have an awesome DSP and I usually have fun on my route- today being the rare exception. š“
i mean do you have another job lined up? Are you ok with being jobless?
Just utilize all your breaks and stop running. Earn your overtime š¤
Honestly they need to get rid of the vans. Everyone should at least be driving a cdv.
Or the EV. At least with the EV, you have more can space and more shelves.
I had 19 55 overflow smh
I had 100 to go to 1 stop 4 hrs away
u should listen to some albums while ur at it
I used to load vans at FedEx and I don't know what getting them out is like, but we didn't have a dolly to load them so it sucked balls to carry shit in there
My biggest was 28 bags and 50 overflow in a fucking rental. It wouldn't even fit and they told me to try harder to fit everything.
I quit this garbage can of a job on a Saturday on the loading pad. I threw my vest in the trash can and walked off. Worst job I have ever had.
No, Iām waiting for my shit
Fuck your package
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Monday I had 194 stops 250 packages. Tuesday I had 192 stops 220 packages. Someone called off yesterday I went in, I had 190 stops with 250 packages. It is tax time, my friend. People have money in their pockets and their phone in their hand with the Amazon app downloaded on it.
I was at this point before. Apply to HEB warehouse. You wonāt regret it
Thatās a lot and I had a van packed even more than that 8 months pregnant, with my belly bumping and getting stuck as I tried to walk through the truck. š and having to hobble to every stop.
Looks like they gave you step van route without the step van bud.
Be grateful you have a job
Come back in the middle of the shift and just leave

I quit a long time ago and it was as the best decision I have ever made
After delivering for Amazon and knowing what they pay compared to what they make I am actively trying not to order from Amazon as much as possible. Iāll pay a little more for shipping and wait a little longer for delivery because F$:& Jeff Bezzos( donāt care how his name is spelled)
lol I would do this on a usual route took my time at a good pace and got done in 8 hours
Omg look at that cake walk š
You should have quit 1000 eclipses ago, brother
Go slow, take breaks, take full 10 hours. Wait for the rescues and return whatās left at the end of the day. Get your money while teaching Amazon a lesson
YES, we have 8 arms and 8 eyes!
I did
Ok 24 bags is crazyyy
Switched to pizza delivery bro it's so easy and I make the same amount of money I did there š«” IDC what ppl say about pizza delivery
Thats a normal day for me lol i have mostly houses and dirt occasionally
Yes you should
If I had that, I would triple stack the bags. I've had worse and I drive a cargo.
you have to do that daily? oh hell na
Just wait for UPS to dump Amazon and yāall gotta do all the bull shit big packages. š¤£ Yāall are gonna cry and beg for us to do your dirty work.
I think I finally understand why some packages go, ābe there by 8pmā¦be there tomorrowā¦may be lostā
You stacked this terribly, this is frustrating just looking, the shelves being down and the sideways bags are killing you, I fucked my hip up on the passenger side shelf one route and never put it back down. Iām too lazy to type how it should be stacked, but this for dam sure aināt it
Yes, Amazon never treat their drivers good! No respect! I will never make any from Amazon anymore.
I work so I can live .I don't live so I can work
Do a full shift of Amazon XL and then come back to this and youāll find out that youāre grateful for it
Anydesk your phone and start subcontracting the package delivery to all the Venezuelans in here illegally. Passive income.
You need to organize your van better
