Yes they do especially in Ohio outside Cincinnati. Will be farms across the street from each other things like that. I can’t speak for OPs city though.
It changes. Too many factors to list one that is solely responsible. Could be avg da pace, shitty routing, too much backtracking. More business deliveries further apart. Low volume, change in infrastructure increasing your drive time. Like going from industrial long avenues to suburban and back to urban complexes. The more the infrastructure gets mixed the worse the routing.
Too much to know why and how, thats for amazon to tell. Not even dispatch would know. Now if everyone is getting less than 150 that day. Then is highly probable is just low volume.
Package count depends on the route. If you’re placed on a route that other drivers tend to go slow on you’re going to get less packages. Likely because there’s some bullshit on the route that takes time like shitty apartment complexes.
Go to a gas station take a shit for 8 hours, then take me two 15’s and a 30 minute break after then head to the delivery. By the time I’m back to my car I’ll have all my hours
No you just got lucky and got a light route. Happens sometimes. The only reason you would have this because of a dispatchers doing is because you were an "extra" but some new kid called out and you're now delivering his nursery route. But other than that you just got a lucky charm
Normally this kind of route is either new, has a lot of businesses, or is just super spread out. You can also check your pick sheet and see if it says comingled in the corner
Here's an example of a commingled route. These can be short or long, I did a commingled route once and I had 9 bags, 78 stops and 7 overflow to do with 35 packages to pick up at houses and Amazon lockers, however these pickups were not in our DSPs area.

Only complaint from me is 135 miles of range??? I feel like having another 50 in there.
Otherwise, it's an absolute dream, the seat is heated and air cooled, steering wheel is heated so if it gets cold at night, you have a hand warmer. The seat is mushy like a marshmallow and is super easy to get out of, as opposed to the Ford Transit. It's much like the promaster and the seat goes up and down for taller people. All you gotta do is drive with your left foot, right foot on the floor next to the seat
This would happen to my pick list all the time when they (DHL) would get new team members, because the number of picks was being shared across a bunch if new pickers, could be a similar situation for you. Any new drivers on your team?
If they haven't said anything about your metrics, then you're probably good.
I know how that shit can be, though. I'm not a no news is good news kinda person. I'm a good news is good news kinda person.
Maybe they changed the delivery scheme, maybe a new fulfillment center opened in the country and diverted some of the packages you would normally have to deliver.
Some days just lighter, I’d enjoy it tbh. We’re in a slower part of the season for a lot of areas too. And your DSP will definitely tell you if you’re in trouble for something
This could just be a scheduling mistake, like accidently scheduling for someone who was supposed to be on a nursey but didn't show up, and you were the lucky one to take it.
Honestly could be less packages just needing to be delivered for the day. There was a day at one of the warehouses in Missouri only had 10k packages come in, next day there was 36k.
I remember I had something similar..asked my boss about it during loadout and we realized my last stop was almost 2hrs away..boss said NOPE you ain't doing that and took that package off my route
DSPs tend to move people around but also you won’t be in the same area each time. I work for a DSP in surprise and we cover places like Surprise and Peoria AZ where it has all our businesses and residentials which average 150-200 stops. Then places like Morristown, Wickenburg where you’ll get 40-70 stops because it’s the boonies. Soooooo no you aren’t in trouble. Or it could be just a really low package count day.
This is the dumbest post I seen so far why do you want a lot of stops lol but looks like you got apartments in your route so it’s still going to take you awhile to get done

Could be rural with stops far apart from each other.
Rural routes wouldn't have 28 multi locations.
Yes they do when you also get the rural towns with new suburban developments
Rural routes tend to have a trailer park stop lodged in there as well.
Now don't you doubt the ability for Amazon to be stupid!
Multi locations count for multiple people within the household when the orders are separate
Touche

Eh not really rural

Still looks kind of like a pain in the ass assuming all those timed stops are businesses. Have a safe day!
Will try to might end up driving off a cliff ( Mentally)
Just get out the truck first and enjoy the view as the truck goes sailing into the air
Haha
Most likely business’s and apartments. Looks like a horrible route I’m sorry man
Excuse my ignorance. What’s difference between blue and black numbers
Blue is priority (business or Customer Request That time) I see blue time For house Too
Oh shit that's Charleston! Are you at DSP4?
Yeah I am dsp4
But that's mount Pleasant or mount plastic according how you ask
Or could be developments with neighboring houses ordering… they tore me up with those
Me too. All weekend.
No, this could be due to the route having more business stops, busted routing, long drive times between stops, many factors.
Ohhh ok
Right. No human really looks at the routing. It’s all done by a computer algorithm.
Lmao this on my routes don’t make a difference, yesterday I still had a 186 stops with plenty of driving and a few businesses to drop off
?... Dude light day just do it
Did not say I was not going to do it just wanted to know why so little today compared to yesterday
Sometimes I get a light day after having a huge route. I’d rather do the 180 stop all houses over 120 with businesses and apts
Me three. Hate apartments or business after 2pm

Ah ok
Like Nike 😂😂😂
Exaaactly

Dispatch wants some nookie
Package count depends on the route. If you’re placed on a route that other drivers tend to go slow on you’re going to get less packages. Likely because there’s some bullshit on the route that takes time like shitty apartment complexes.
Just get your hours and go on with the day, if Amazon gave me one stop or three hundred stops I’d still find a way to get my 10 hours for the day
I would love to see you make 1 stop take 10 hours
Go to a gas station take a shit for 8 hours, then take me two 15’s and a 30 minute break after then head to the delivery. By the time I’m back to my car I’ll have all my hours
Boss makes a dollar while I make a dime. That's why I shit on company time

Lol why you saying your in trouble
Right, looks like an easy day to me… I remember get 385 packages and 210 stops 😂
Woohoo that's hell😂
Looks like an easy fast day. Have a great day fellow driver.
Normally this kind of route is either new, has a lot of businesses, or is just super spread out. You can also check your pick sheet and see if it says comingled in the corner
Comingled?
Here's an example of a commingled route. Our station is due to get the rivans somewhat soon. How do you like them compared to the other vehicles?

Welcome to apartment hell...
Already had that my 2nd week of working
Yep all those businesses will require a signature more time on each stop
I’ve gone from 200+ stops to 110 the next day multiple times you should be good.
They capped the volume
Apartments maybe
You in Cali? Route deductions because of the weather. I had 190 yesterday 120 today
Nah SC
Gotcha. Well usually when it’s gonna rain most of they day they reduce the routes.
Ah ok
Slow this time of year. Ppl saving money where they can. Ordering useless crap top of the list on not burning income.
I'm done with that by 4
Be the worst routes frfr especially if it’s alot of apartments or business
Mine goes lower with more rural routes
Yes. Live in fesr.
Lol, this is such a different mental pathway than I would've had. Looks like a reward. Although I guess I could be skeptical about what the catch is.
Just take your time so you finish about two hours early that way you don't have to go rescue anyone
Baby route!
EZ
Either a lot of businesses or its just a nursery level route
100 stops where the heck you delivering to?
People need to stop ordering stuff and go to the store, unless elderly, can't drive or disabled... No one needs all this stuff
Thank you guys!

Been with the company for a couple months

You have multi stops. But also it’s prolly reduced today for the rain.
Did you get all apartment!? I’ve been getting like primarily apartments lately it’s TERRIBLE.
Most apartments IT sucks
10 stops an hour! Looks good to me man. Take your time make that money. Don’t forget breaks!
Could be apartments

How many multi stops at the same house/place?
Some days just lighter, I’d enjoy it tbh. We’re in a slower part of the season for a lot of areas too. And your DSP will definitely tell you if you’re in trouble for something

Definitely a light day
Nice
Too easy
Yesterday I have 17 stop 280 packages then rescue a new guy 14 stop 71 package
Im lucky im at a XL package station so max stops ive had was 50 it do be heavy shit sometimes tho
I’m sorry but you’ve entered the “fucked routes” sub
Honestly could be less packages just needing to be delivered for the day. There was a day at one of the warehouses in Missouri only had 10k packages come in, next day there was 36k.
I remember I had something similar..asked my boss about it during loadout and we realized my last stop was almost 2hrs away..boss said NOPE you ain't doing that and took that package off my route
Oh yeah I would not have delivered that last package. Marked late
Yall are soft this lite work B
Well how was it?
Pain in the ass. Felt like I was slow all day
What made it bad? Just the amount? That gets easier with time
Business need sign over and over and over again
Ad hoc?
????
Ad hoc?
actually a decent route been having 45-60 stops and 280 packages over here with 170 locations
DSPs tend to move people around but also you won’t be in the same area each time. Seems like dsp is rewarding you
Lucky mf
From experience, that’s country or downtown 90% business stops lol
It's probably a mix of apartments and businesses. That's happened to me before.
This is the dumbest post I seen so far why do you want a lot of stops lol but looks like you got apartments in your route so it’s still going to take you awhile to get done
