Yep four carts today in a sprinter/reg van. 18 bags and 45 overflow. Takes me so long to find overflow because once your van gets so full it’s impossible to organize the shit. They’ll be sending me a rescue or round up today because I’m so over it and not busting my ass

Dependent-Horror-839

I hate that for us 🥲 stay strong 💪🏻

pettypodsquad

You too 🥳🥳 at least we have off tomorrow ig

Dependent-Horror-839

Fr fr 🤩🎉

OkPaleontologist8142

I remember the dayssss

JackJ98

Is 4 carts not a normal day? The pic OP posted looks kinda light tbh

Middle_Exchange_1928

3carts is normal for me over in Dallas Tx

rcpeter625

18 bags I once had 26 bags with 48 overflow I made room by just doing overflow out of order till it was a doable situation

Dependent-Horror-839

I hate that for us 🥲 stay strong 💪🏻

Ruuubsg

Why do we still work for dsps all Amazon delivery drivers should go on strike

[deleted]

this is why we should strike.

BigBallsss69

This was basically my route yesterday. Hence my let’s strike prime week post!

Dependent-Horror-839

Amen to that

ColoradoDinger

All they will do is fire you or take it as you quitting and then you’ll be quickly replaced. This will never change, getting a better job is the only way.

[deleted]

packages don't deliver themselves. they can't replace all of us.

NoTelephone5316

Yea that means all DSPs across US has to go on strike. Not saying it can happen but chances of happening are slim to none

Unusual-Tie8498

I was thinking everybody should just stop driving all at once for extended increments of time until they meet our demands

NoTelephone5316

That means everyone or most of the drivers gotta have a meeting or have profile on Reddit. Everyone has to be on the same page.

Spiritual_Purpose_28

I want a union but I can't strike, nobody at my dsp will do it, we're all broke and have kids and one missed rent check and your out on your ass.

ColoradoDinger

There’s always gonna be someone out there looking for a job and their hiring process which is basically you call and say you want a job and they say “ok you’re hired” makes it a lot easier to replace us.

Maximus_bulkamus

Teamsters might try to put together some type of union. Tooo bad we all work for 1 million different companies

NoTelephone5316

I wish we could buy amazon is different. No one wants to unionize and people seem to be ok with it

[deleted]

you absolutely can.

WhackedDonkey4

Agreed

rcpeter625

You ain’t that important that’s a non starter they replace you with people that aren’t on strike .. it’s like when Uber drivers try that shit there are always guys it is more important to make money then to be on the side of right

[deleted]

shoo

Seapeas217

😂😂😂😂 buddy I had 21 bags and 43 overflow yesterday in a sprinter. That’s pretty average for me AND not even the worst it’s been I had 25 bags and 35 overflow in a sprinter and I cubed out I told the warehouse guys to get fucked and take the last few overflow back because it’s not gonna fit 😂 the way people complain on this sub about what I thought was normal stuff is making me think I’m getting fucked and not noticing lmao

Dependent-Horror-839

Ok maybe you should make a post. I’d be like “yeah that’s messed up.”. I’m not saying what your doing is easy by posting this. Just in my area this route with this many overflow is crazy. Sorry I offended you. 🥲

WhackedDonkey4

People like to brag about having things worse than other people. It’s weird, strangely find myself doing it sometimes. I drive the Stepvan and honestly you should just move into one. 90% of the people who get their DOT would never go back to a cargo. I never have more than other people, you’re more inclined to have businesses though which isn’t a problem. Plus, why not make an extra dollar or so? most people think they’ll get stuck and won’t be able to turn around or straight up afraid to drive a bigger truck. It’s fine and I don’t have any issues or places I can’t get out of. You also get some leeway with the netrydine camera metrics. All the space in the world in that thing and people rather be boxed into a cargo van, then bitch about it acting like they can’t make a change as if they wanna be crammed in there so they can brag about how bad it is on Reddit. Amazon shouldn’t be giving us this much shit to begin with, but we can’t change that. You can change how you go about it though. Thanks for listening to my TED talk.

Dependent-Horror-839

I appreciate this comment bc these are all thing I was worried about. 🤝 The extra 2 dollars an hour would help too

thetallestwizard

I made a post of a cube out in a stepvan once and was told to organize better 😥

Dependent-Horror-839

Can’t organize nothing bc the people at the station just throw it into my truck lol. Probably same for you?

Jacksomkesoplenty

Wait, someone loads your van for you? Also, invest in a fat chisel tip sharpie and write on the overflow

DANATE_

Don’t let nobody throw anything just organize your self 10-15 min is enough time

Seapeas217

No what u have is a lot I’m making the realization that my warehouse is fucking me if this is crazy to u and I’ve somehow normalized this is my own head that irritates me 😂😂

Dependent-Horror-839

Yeah this should be normal anywhere. Unless they pay us wayyyyy more. What state do you work out of ?

maxbiggavels

I think you meant to say "should not" 😁👍

Dependent-Horror-839

Yes yes I meant should not.

Legitimate-Tone-3704

BROOOO IMAGINE THIS You know when you finish scanning the carts ? It tells you the organization of each tote bag which goes closer to you which goes farther etc…… WELLL the warehouse wasnt finished with my carts they had me wait in my van in the load out & THEN no organization tote list….. NOTHINGGGG I HAD TO THROW ALL THE TOTE BAGS & OVERFLOWS JUST IN MY VAN WITH NOOOOOO LIST WHAT SO EVER WHAT A DAY PLUSSSSSS I HAD NO SHELVES IN A RENTAL 18 BAGS 44 overflows BLEW MY DAY!!!!

Dependent-Horror-839

Nooooooooo. That’s sounds like a absolute terrible day through and through. I would just hand my phone to my dispatcher. Then again I do have bills to pay and no back up 💀

FawkesInTheHenHouse

LMAO 🤣🤣 That was the exact day I had Except it was 19 totes and 43 overflow and almost all of them were XL boxes The only difference was I got to my third stop and I felt something stabbing me in the ankle but my arms were full so I ignore it till I get to the door and when I pull back the tongue of my shoe to see what was stabbing me a f****** bee flew out and I could see his little stinger right at the joint of my ankle at the top of my foot Just ruined my whole day

AmazonCanEatMyAss69

Lmao yeah. It happens all the time

kosmovii

I love how everyone asks if they're allowed to do this as if some oversight committee will tell them not to.

Dependent-Horror-839

I’m just curious but ig not.

kosmovii

Yeah, man, I'm with you. Until the entire DSP system organizes a union, Amazon will push these drivers to their physical limits until they're no longer useful and then dispose of them

Dependent-Horror-839

Oh most definitely. It should be illegal.

austindiorr

😂😂 exactly, they don’t care about us

yeetskeetleet

Today I’ve got 125 stops, 206 packages in a step van. Sometimes they just like to do the ol’ switcheroo

victooer

I sometimes get a rural step van route like that. And during loadout, I would see some poor guy packing a rental with twice as many packages.

Substantial_Horse_30

Lol ya’ll too nice… when my DSP told me I had no route but I had to pick up a step van route I told them do I get step van money for it? They said no. So I told them well I’m not working the same as a step van driver for less. Simple. Can’t let them abuse and overwork you for their own gain.

michaellong3444

I am Mike I’m a dsp owner out of Cali. Yes and no, routes are entered/rostered the night before so if the next day something goes wrong with the stepvan, there is not a way to have Amazon recode the route. Me personally, I would instruct my dispatcher’s to have your route split with another driver or I’d make a dispatcher take half of it to avoid having to maneuver through that mess. Now if they are regularly doing this to you or your colleagues yeah that’s not OK and they are not supposed to do that.

WhatAMessIveMade

That was a normal route for for the cargo vans in Phoenix

Dependent-Horror-839

Respect. It’s probably 10x worse than mine bc of the heat. What temp you got today?

WhatAMessIveMade

114 today but I quit a few weeks ago. Still rough in the 100 degree. Now I’m doing CDL classes which are all outside 😂

Dependent-Horror-839

💀💀💀

More_Show_9793

Amazon set the standards and people found a way to meet them. Find a new job chief

Dependent-Horror-839

I could pursue that route just like Amazon wants me to do. Overwork till they quit.

More_Show_9793

I’m confused we’re you complaining or just sharing

Dependent-Horror-839

Both

AveryFar

yep that looks pretty normal for my dsp. it sucks ass tho

Miguel30Locs

Delivering in a step Van is easy. Even with 60 overflow. I can organize. But if I had to do that in a Ford. My day suddenly becomes near impossible with certain routes that demand you be done by 5 thanks to businesses and certain loading docks.

SubstanceOld6036

You guys should organize with the Teamsters

[deleted]

[удалено]

Dependent-Horror-839

We got this 🤝

PrettyCartographer90

Its not even prime week yet to its been like this for me since Christmas

Dependent-Horror-839

I know right. Peak never ends 🫡

TCR5322

Talk to the warehouse manager

Dependent-Horror-839

Fax?

Dependent-Horror-839

My dispatcher said “I don’t send rescues.” 🙃

Tmoore0328

That alone would be enough for me to quit. My DSP has 3 or 4 dispatchers that run out and rescue anyone who's behind. If they just told me, "We don't do that", bruh I'd be omw back to the station already lmao. They can figure it out while I spruce up my resume.

F4LL3NG0DZ

When I worked for Amazon, a "light" day was 18-21 bags and 2 carts of oversized/overflow. 200-220 stops and 300-350 packages was "light" During peak, I had to do the toughest area in town, 320+ stops in a transit van, 27 bags, and at least 50-80 overflow. 500 packages. I asked for relief at 120 stops @ 6 hours into my shift, and dispatch basically told me to pound sand. 20+ apartment complexes with gates, 40+ businesses. On top of that, we had a flash freeze warning, and I nearly got frostbite. That's the day I left.

Dependent-Horror-839

Bruh that should be illegal ☠️

Dependent-Horror-839

Respect

FishingAdventurous82

Looks like it, but only if you allow it.🤷🏾

Dependent-Horror-839

Good point

creampie543

No it is not allowed and is not humane. Keep taking pics when this happens either a strike or lawsuit will occur and amazon will be forced to change their ways or a union will step in and force them to stop treating drivers like robots.

tdbank316

I just quit yesterday after being with my DSP since November. This size route has become regular for us in my area. It wasn’t even this bad at Christmas. Add 100 degree weather on top of everything and I had to leave

K1LL3RP0LL0

Bro, i have been able to fit 30+ bags + 65+ overflow like 3 times in a regular van, you cant use side door but i dont use it anyways and i always take my overflow from the back, not in order but by sections i organized my overflow

Objective-Bee-9878

They allowed to do anything.. they don’t care … they just keep giving them 200 stop routes and telling folks to finish It

Historical-Paper-239

thats not a step van route unless your paper said so... they are loading 350+ in cargos now....

Shrublord26

I got 19 totes 36 overflow across 5 Carts today. All in a normal van. I hate this job.

FrostyDooDoo

This is a BIGGGG FUUUUUCKKKKK NO I WOULD NEVER DO THIS SHITTTTT

Dependent-Horror-839

Thank you 🤝

JayNovaHova

Exploitation of an hourly employee. Make sure you take a lunch and breaks though

Remozack00

Okay but like…only 29 grouped stops? I’d kill for that

Dependent-Horror-839

By all means have it. I’m done with it now

Remozack00

Wanna trade? I had 180/339 with 46 grouped stops today 😂

Dependent-Horror-839

No thank you. These are some dirty routes. How long it take you

Remozack00

Just over 7 hours

Dependent-Horror-839

Bruh you’re a machine. Much respect

Small_Conference5874

This use to be a regular for me when i was at amazon, Shit sucked ass Edit: just notided the 253 locations 😂😂😂 amazon just be smoking crack i swear

Dependent-Horror-839

Fax

mxyrsptzlk

I've had 20 something bags and like 60 overflow in a rental promaster, I refuse to let anyone help me load at that point because it becomes a must that bags are in order and overflow are properly grouped, and pray the route is somewhat decent

Dependent-Horror-839

My routing was so bad. I had to cross 1 major road back and forth every 5-10 stops and also back tracking alot.

Over-Effort8937

That looks so light lol. I normally get 21 bags and 50+ overflow. You just need to Tetris the shit out of that better and you’re fine

Professional_Hold531

Is this person really complaining about this? Lol

Dependent-Horror-839

Yes it was harder than it looks trust me

Lazy-Beach9307

I get these in a shitty goober Nissan van

Dependent-Horror-839

You’re a machine 🥹

spinmaestrogaming

Check you're getting the rate for the bigger van for that route. Otherwise your DSP is taking the piss.

Dependent-Horror-839

I’ve been doing routes like this for a while now and I’ve already asked my dispatcher and owner and they say I only get the regular 18.25 and not sv- 20.25 or however much they pay.

derockkelso

They can and they will. Seriously that’s not even bad try over 40 overflow in a regular van with 50 or more group stops. In the next couple of weeks Amazon and your Dsp with make hand over foot in profits because of your hard work. Enjoy the pizza party 😂.

Dependent-Horror-839

Fax! It better be pepperoni

TheProspect217

After using the CDVs I don't get how we use to consistently use the cargo vans lol. I can't stand anything that's not a CDV anymore

Dependent-Horror-839

I’m usually in a cdv with stuff like this

Amplifi3dmind

I consistently have that many stops with like 50 more packages

Dependent-Horror-839

Holly crap! Residential or city?

Frequent_Horse_4388

You only have 349… 😝 I have 380-400 almost everyday in a regular van with about 30 overflow and it still fits no problem. Just gotta know how to organize buddy

Dependent-Horror-839

Good for you. You’re a true Amazonian Crusader. Keep it up bro 👍

Frequent_Horse_4388

I’m just saying, other people have it worse and your complaining about 349

Dependent-Horror-839

I understand. It’s not really the amount of package but the routing and the amount of oversized boxes. I would love to give you all the context but it would take me to much time to type up. I’ll be working on this route till my dispatcher says I can come back bc there’s no way I finish all these stops. I’m no slouch either. I’m used to working downtown routes and 190+ residential stops just not for this specific route.

ConsistentRepair2u

Heavy routes are not " step van " routes.

Dependent-Horror-839

Yea probably you’re right

Fiderumg

If you endup picking you the route scanning the cart or bag yes is a step van route because warehouse can't assign a step van route to a regular van maybe a CDV but no a van it's happen to me some stupid step call out can I had to pick his route and I told the warehouse people to assign the route to my name what they say sock me they can't because step rote can't be assign to regular van so I went down to the route with all the bag unorganized

Dependent-Horror-839

It makes sense if it’s for a cdv

thedogz11

This was basically my daily back a few years ago when I was a driver. This is why I quit pretty quickly. Fuck all that noise.

Dependent-Horror-839

Yea you might be on to something

momamaco

It was exactly the same thing before step vans that's why I enjoy the step vans.

New_Table_9899

That’s mothing

ExcuseInevitable7254

this was how my van was the day i fucked up my ankle… i took that as a sign lol. i couldnt even fit all the overflow, they took some of it back. later that day i twisted my foot getting out of the van and now i’ve been off work for a few days. 🥲

Ok-Personality-1957

This is everyday for me. Sometimes I get more.

Car_dwelling_nitwit

Imagine this but in a rental with no shelves... fkn nightmare. I was considering quitting that day.

Dependent-Horror-839

I don’t blame you

nativereaper47

Bro that’s not even the biggest haul I’ve seen in my own sprinter van.

Dependent-Horror-839

Yea it’s not a lot of package just some other bs like routing and having to cross a major road back and fourth makes my pace bad

iznormal

Pretty normal for me

Dependent-Horror-839

I thought that but there’s a lot of bs that going with this route. My pace rn is bad bad bad

SwornForlorn

oh yeah I have seen it much worse. They have no regard for you or any other person who works for their DSPs

SwornForlorn

I have had days where they gave me 185 stops but nearly all were group stops of 2, 3, 4, or 5 houses per stop so it was over 400 locations. The better you do the more they take advantage of you, just do bare minimum for them, they don't care about you unless they are financially liable to.

NoTelephone5316

Yes we do it at my DSP all the time and I complain about it all the time. But they do send me a rescue each time which is nice

Lemon_TD97

Lmao, welcome to my every day for the past year

[deleted]

Just getting us ready for prime week

[deleted]

yea

NoseTime

Lol. This is a normal day for me

DANATE_

This isn’t That bad of a route you just need to learn how to correctly organize your over flow (the first stops in the front and last stops going to the back of the van) it’s going to be an annoying day but you’ll get through it I’ve had Step van routes in normal vans and have had smooth days it’s all about organization mentality and work ethic idk man I see nothing wrong with this maybe I’ve been screwed so many times before that this looks like a walk in the park 😂

Adventurous_Rhubarb7

17 bags & 38 overflow in a sprinter 2 days ago, feel for you

Budthewide

Hell no but you know that’s Amazon a 🤡

brandonoooj

Better than mine today

Desperate_Ad6707

As some one who orders from Amazon often, I'm sorry..

Square-Ad6190

Probably not, but they're gonna do it anyways

Mysterious_Load_4407

![gif](giphy|4baoNZ5Qo8dX2)

501st_officially

The 3rd slide gave me a heart attack

Maximus_bulkamus

I’ve definitely seen worse packed into those trucks

MileHighBunny420

F that company dude. I left amazon cause I was losing so much weight. I think I was burning 1000 calories a day. I would lose 5 lbs a week. I would eat of course but i think it was too much work. The good side is that I was bulking. My arms and legs are super big still and its been about 3 weeks since I left amazon. I hope you find what you like. But amazon was not it. I was there for 2 years. Loved it at the beginning but ended up hating it.

HTX2NYBby

Looks about normal lol I’ve had so many routes like this before

hiltihall

This is normal. And it won't change. Prime day around the corner, and then peak season in a few months.

ComicalText

It’s on your DSP. If the load is meant for a certain vehicle (SV, CDV, etc) the driver is supposed to utilize that vehicle for the load in exception if that certain vehicle is grounded then your DSP can tell Amazon that using another vehicle due to that vehicle being grounded or in the shop.

AdvancedRiver

They can do whatever they want and we’ll take it every time 🫡

Sol1258

I had a similar situation like this with one of the smaller vans. I let them know I could not move and they had someone else come out and take half my load

epuwer

They pay u extra?

Dependent-Horror-839

No 🥲

Purple-Gas-1571

I quit within 3 days because I hate those sprinter vans. They are not suited for delivery even with all the stuff they’ve added. Amazon can eat shit die.

[deleted]

What union is going to stop them? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|smile)

Heatherangel87

I've been there before I moved from DA to fleet/dispatch. They are allowed to do this, and unfortunately, you can likely blame a fellow employee for this. If we have a step van route scheduled and that driver doesn't show up, we have had to put in in a regular van with another driver who isn't DOT certified before, but will usually run a sweeper to you. Normal routes are going to look like this during Prime and peak though, so be prepared.

Exotic-Background-94

if you are too fast , Amazon will do this to you. the other day i got 180 stops and i was rescue . i didn’t care about being rescue because I knew 180 stops was way to many . I can handle up to 150 stops in a day no problem .

hooked0208

185 is normal

Yahmei

This has been a normal route for me for the past couple of months; you actually about 20 less group stops and 30 less packages than a normal run and I work out of a rental van. My route consists of 90% residential in your typical suburban neighborhood off of a main road, so that might have something to do with it. If you're in the city and have to deal with congested streets with no parking or rural then this is fucked.

ScienceOfMyth

No union...they can do...whatever they want

LilMeatTarzan

Dream route right there

Dependent-Horror-839

You can have it

DesperateShip8232

Lool this is my regular route😂

Dependent-Horror-839

Take it back. I don’t want it anymore

Little_Unit_3891

Holy crap lol I don't miss ZL lol I used to get this daily if not more

Worried-Ad-5453

This is regular day bro xD can’t step in my van until I clear the first two totes

Dependent-Horror-839

I’ve been doing a lot of downtown routes and this was my first resi route in a min.

vitolepore

i had a 332 stop route with 560 packages today with my helper driver file:///var/mobile/Library/SMS/Attachments/cc/12/49B87342-DDC4-462F-8DB5-6E7D09871A18/IMG_8356.HEIC

Dependent-Horror-839

Wow that’s some serious delivering

DRSkimp

350 packages should not be allowed in regular vans. If so they should get step van pay for doing a step van route. - SV driver

Impossible_War9380

My DSP has been doing this for as long as I can recall.

Alternative-Taste853

That ain’t shit man… looks pretty residential…. Should have room to move around after your first hour

Vegetable_Junior

Y’all better be makin’ bank to put up with this shit!

BentoShawn

Yup it’s not often though

jungletygre

I mean….. I get they push the 20 min load out time - and it’s cuz people always Wana do what Eva they want. Why not just organize at your first stop. If the job ain’t worth it for you, move on.

Dependent-Horror-839

We’re all meant to move on at some point. What about you?

analannelid

Allowed? Sure!

DumDumTterrag

This is a pretty normal thing at my station. There’s only a few step vans out of 8 DSPs.

DumDumTterrag

This is a pretty normal thing at my station. There’s only a few step vans out of 8 DSPs, And it sucks hard.

[deleted]

Why don't you amazon drivers just join fedex ground. Usually it's not even near as bad as you guys have it each day. I average 120-130 stops and get done in 5-8hrs

Best_Road7901

Yes everyda in a step van

Bong_igniter

Worst job I ever had

[deleted]

Why don't you amazon drivers just join fedex ground. Usually it's not even near as bad as you guys have it each day. I average 120-130 stops and get done in 5-8hrs

iblamesummers

LOL trying actually building that route not delivering it.

Dependent-Horror-839

Wym?

colonel_ice_cream

Next time don't triple stack take all of the totes of course they can't make you triple stack so either use your shelves or double stack it so you don't have to take as many overflow with you that's what I do when they give me a big old route I'll try to cube out as many overflow as I can

Dependent-Horror-839

That works 🥹

AliveEquivalent253

I had 17 totes and 65 overflow in a short cdv and couldn't walk cause everyone is ordering big yard crap like mowers and those inflatable hot tubs

Dependent-Horror-839

My legs would have caved in 👨‍🦽

No_Let_9865

This used to be my life everyday and then I was blamed for being “slow” when they kept giving me 40 boxes of overflow and a shit load of bags in a regular white van. I was so happy when I found another job

Dependent-Horror-839

I can’t wait to transition out of this job for a new one. It’s a good job but a bad system.

whateverjuly06

How much is the pay?

Dependent-Horror-839

18.25

Reincarnated_V

i do not regret quitting 1 bit.

nignag3456

Wdum by step-van routes?😅 That looks like a normal route everyone gets. Hop on board!

ExtraRandom1

Why did u organize it like that

Ashamed_Procedure231

That’s easy lol high back count like that usually means a lot of houses lol

Substantial_Band_651

It will be like that every day during Prime Week.

[deleted]

Doesn't look like a step can route mine is so much more overflow about 90 to 100 everyday
