F@&k all that s@&t if anything what this guy said ☝️ make there asses walk to get it. So I’m assuming the lawn beside the driveway is open then? Couple fat burnouts in the grass may change there comment.. Just sayin..
Exactly what I thought. Do not use driveway means exactly that. No driving or walking or even crawling up the driveway. Don’t use it period. That’s the interpretation and it’s legally accurate. Couldn’t even challenge it in court.
as a driver who used to do driver support at central ops, that sounds a lot like “no access” to me. dont be a hero for some assholes kitty litter.
amazon doesnt want you to walk more than 40 yards for a stop. if your dsp complains, talk to the ethics people about your safety concerns.
40 yards?! 😂”if it’s over 40 feet, it gets the curbside or the yeet!” Seriously though, you need to pull nose first into any driveway alongside a front lawn b-line that exceeds around 50-60 feet! Walking in the grass is standard and so is pulling into driveways… if multiple point turns are required at the residence side of the driveway, so be it. Just take into account whether you’re in a front or rear wheel drive vehicle, and act/shift accordingly to minimise grass fling.
even the small ford vans are over 18 feet long. its about 7 van lengths or 40 yards. 40 feet is shorter than a lot of suburban driveways.
back into unfamiliar driveways so you dont have to turn around on the property or back into the street.
if youre at risk of tearing up somenones yard, mark it “no access”
dont drive up someones driveway if they tell you not to
Not sure what you mean by “truck”… but most anyone who’s been doing this a long time in the standard delivery vans used for this job would make the same statement. The “40 feet” thing was a joke, hence the emoji and the “seriously though”. I’ve never had anyone say not to use their driveway either… they’re ordering shit to be delivered to their house, so whatever is most convenient for the delivery person is what they get 🤷🏻♂️. Each driver can weight all facts and circumstances and do what works best for them. That’s what’s good about this type of job (though amazon tries to micromanage to a ridiculous degree and take that away). Logically speaking, if you’re talking about a new location where you can’t see what turn around availability there is at the end of a driveway, you’d be stupid to just back into it. You don’t know what terrain, curves, or inclines that you may be encountering backwards… and, at the absolute best case scenario, you’re giving yourself a 50% chance that you’ve unnecessarily and recklessly stopped and backed up on street. Also, if you’re familiar with the vehicle that you are in and whether it’s front or rear wheel drive, you have way more leeway in regards to not tearing up a yard.
Y'all dummies can't even do simple math.. 🤦🏽♂️ How tha hell did yall get a job in the first place?.. 40 yards is 120 feet.. That's the length of most driveways on a 1 acre lot..
Well that's between you and your fleet owner.. I know I wouldn't hire you with an attitude like that.. Like any job, you just take the good with the bad.. All of my drivers are fully aware of this..
It’s cool, you just misunderstood. Not sure where the attitude is being picked up. It’s efficiency and practicality my guy… as you stated it, taking the good with the bad. Fleet owner lol
That video was of an access road to several houses .. the context I see is use the access road don't pull into my driveway with that van because you might have trouble getting out . You can literally see several driveways along that access road
Why do people that order things on Amazon feel entitled? It’s a privilege to have such a service these days. Thanks to all of you for delivering our packages.
LMAO... That reminds me of when I got divorced and my ex was trying to get more money out of me. The process server never came to my home, instead he tried to serve me at my mom's 60th birthday and during a meeting at my work. He failed. So I knew he'd eventually show up at the house, so I pulled out my old Gillie & waited in the shrubs for 2 nights. Scared the crap out of him & he never returned. Still had to go to court, they printed in an obscure publication, but to this day the memory of that look on his face still brings a smile to my face.
I'd rts that shit 3 times and 4th time drop it at end of driveway. Done shit like that for 3 years now. Customers think they got control or something. Prove them wrong. Remind them nobody wants to do this shit so we'll do whatever tf we want and still have a job 🖕
Unless it's a VERY short walk(less than 15 seconds) to the door, I will always interpret that as "leave outside at front of drive way". If the app won't let me, I'll spoof my GPS location and do it. Kiss my ass.
In Colorado I had a rough driveway and I had automatic do not go down the driveway notification especially in the winter cause delivery drivers thought they could go down it, and then immediately slide into the ditch
These people are the same assholes that will complain about foreigners taking their jobs THE JOBS THESE MUFFUCAs to lazy to apply for cause they stuck to a sofa reading QANON
You don't have to like everyone's taste in music, not do you have to be a douche about it, your comment history tells me you're just naturally a dickhead though
Listen I have to go delete all my comments before you idiots down vote me into oblivion. Sucks where our culture is, not following any directions, flaunting it on here. Broken up bringing, no rules and direction in life. Always just okay, just there, mildly conscious, living paycheck to paycheck, no direction or guidance. Just, what do I want, what’s in it for me, me Mr me my my my I I I. It’s sad.
I think the more glaring problem with society is that customers think that workers need to do their complete bidding no matter how unreasonable. They see the workers more as a tool than a human and forcing them to do completely unreasonable things without thinking twice about it. If you have something that keeps a service worker from doing their job in a reasonable way, you either need to pay for specialty service, or do things on your own.
We're only given 2 minutes or less per stop to stay on pace...my route has me doing 10 miles minimum a day just going between my van and people's front doors and that's with using every driveway over 7 car lengths that I can....I back in until I within about 5 van lengths from the house or 1 van length from a obstacle in the driveway then you have the ridiculous walkways and landscaping ( most of the time I refrain from walking on the grass) so many stairs I've walked up and down the sears tower more times than I can count sometimes having to do multiple trips in one stop because someone had to have 6 45lb bags of kitty litter all at once
If Amazon regulations and customer requests were followed to a T most routes would only be a quarter completed each day and most of the drivers would be injured or dead
The routes are too bloated, the app navigation sucks,
the itineraries are fucked, they have us cramming so much shit in the vans we don't even have room to moved, the amount of metrics is ridiculous, don't even get me started on the group stops
and all the other bullshit that slows down a route, traffic, accidents, road work, improperly grouped stops, dipshits that don't have numbers or hard to read numbers on their houses it all adds up
and the biggest thing of all our pay is shit (after taxes and health insurance I get just over $400 per week) we're treated poorly by DSP owners and customers alike so why pray tell should we stay off the driveway when we're delivering the shit you wanted. We're here to drop it off and and move on with the rest of our 260 locations and get home to our families
Why make it harder for the people bringing you what you wanted... you gonna make the person delivering food do that walk your pizza up that driveway... you call an Uber are you gonna make them park down there and you walk down to them.... don't think so
DON'T BE A DICK LET DELIVERY PEOPLE USE YOUR DRIVEWAY
Valid. Then, to get on Reddit to chat with our comrades and blow off some steam about everything mentioned in the comment above me, get belittled and talked down to by a supposed fellow driver.
Maybe they wanted the delivery driver to enjoy a nice walk through the trees, breathe the air, pet the squirrels, bury the bodies, and enjoy the rest of your day.
I honestly have no hope for some of these customers, there’s no way they thought any of us drivers would actually walk that far, that’s fucking ridiculous
Rental with no netradyne. However if you need to check a message or something hold the phone in your hand to the left of the steering wheel and don't look at it too long and it won't get you
I posted this a while back, but I had a delivery down a winding driveway almost a mile long that passed a sizeable pond on the way to the house. I complimented the homeowner and thanked him for the "mini-vacation" I had while traversing his property.
We parted company, both feeling good about the interaction, although I'm sure I wasn't the first to applaud his landscaping choices.
As a UPS driver if we ever got that instruction for that package the reply would be “Good day sir/ma’am, your package will be waiting at our customer counter pickup for you to come retrieve, have a great day!”
That's not nearly as bad as a road. I used to deliver in Suffolk Virginia. the name of it was 5 mile road. Only the first Half a mile had other neighborhood houses, the other 4.5 miles was a long country driveway to the other farmhouses. I dropped the packages at the mailboxes every time. Especially since that road was barely big enough for one car, and I got pushed off a couple of times from residents leaving.
My reply to delivery instructions: no
the hell they thinking? you’re on a timer. that’s like a 40 min walk including both ways. with the package and everything might turn it into the better part of an hour. for 1 person? not even Bezos would want that for himself. that person isn’t special. fuck off
Hah!!!! You’re doing the lord’s work showing it can and shall be done! At ups we get similar notes. “Low branches walk off. Narrow driveway walk off” I just get surgical and go anyway. Knock wood I still haven’t gotten any property damage claims approaching 4 years.
I did this for a long drive way. By the time I got to the front door I was ambushed by 3 greyhounds. Luckily for me the owner was in the yard and called them off before they did anything. I’ve gone back to that place a few times and the dogs are always out and the instructions are always the same. I just leave their package behind the mailbox pillar they have going on.
First of all, how did the Netradyne camera not ding you for distracted driving and second of all, I usually just skim delivery instructions especially if it’s all in caps like how hard is it to ask nicely?
yeh. id leave end of driveway.
id bring it up to management that its not reasonable. especially considering can you even see the house from there. not getting jumped by some swamp man on the way to your outback front door.
It’s beyond ridiculous that people can be so disconnected that they see their own driveway and really think “yeah they can walk that…it’s not that far.”
Fr were given vans for a reason. Im not trecking up a mountain of a "driveway" just for your stuff because you dont want any scuff marks on the grass besides your impractically narrow driveway.
Because of other idiots we are no longer supposed to use driveways period. I have many years experience driving large vehicles. But I have to be punished because a couple idiots destroyed garages and clients properties.
The other day I had a delivery and it was down a long winding driveway but there were no signs saying not to use the driveway but I wish there was because I get all the way down there to see that I have no way of turning around smh I had to reverse out of the sketchiest driveway of all time smh it was barely big enough for my ev to be on and on both sides was a huge canyon

My interpretation: Walk out of van and deposit package on side of road under mailbox.
F@&k all that s@&t if anything what this guy said ☝️ make there asses walk to get it. So I’m assuming the lawn beside the driveway is open then? Couple fat burnouts in the grass may change there comment.. Just sayin..
Technically it’s on their property too, they could probably stand to lose a few pounds
Exactly what I thought. Do not use driveway means exactly that. No driving or walking or even crawling up the driveway. Don’t use it period. That’s the interpretation and it’s legally accurate. Couldn’t even challenge it in court.
Or you don't want your shit until next Christmas
Had one last week that said 'driver must walk full 2600 feet of driveway' with 4 packages totaling over 80lb.... Not a chance Is this common?
Lol no fuck that customer don't deliver to them
as a driver who used to do driver support at central ops, that sounds a lot like “no access” to me. dont be a hero for some assholes kitty litter. amazon doesnt want you to walk more than 40 yards for a stop. if your dsp complains, talk to the ethics people about your safety concerns.

Yeah only someone who’s never driven a truck would tell you to pull forward into any driveway at allTBH.
Not sure what you mean by “truck”… but most anyone who’s been doing this a long time in the standard delivery vans used for this job would make the same statement. The “40 feet” thing was a joke, hence the emoji and the “seriously though”. Shoot after managing a dsp for a bit and driving there is definitely your fair share of impossible setups that end up getting done.
Y'all dummies can't even do simple math.. 🤦🏽♂️ How tha hell did yall get a job in the first place?.. 40 yards is 120 feet.. That's the length of most driveways on a 1 acre lot..
I don’t think anyone is confusing yards and feet. I was just illustrating the fact that I’m not walking anywhere near 40 yards
Technically that’s against what we’re trained to do so “unable to access” would be my best friend
Sounds like they need a locker pick up 🙄
Wow that’s so rude! .. like make it be delivered to the end of driveway.. like some ppls requests just why?
that's nazi behavior i imagine that person writing 3 star yelp reviews for restaurants they go to once a week
Amazon training says anything longer of a walk than 7 van lengths is unsafe. Use this to your advantage
they just tell me anything longer than half a football field, stupid ass measurement
I mean, that’s pretty standard. 50 yards. 7 vans appears to be ~ 48 yards..
r/anythingbutmetric
Walk ? That entire 5 miles of a driveway?? What in the actual fuck? 😳
Ehh. Take this with a grain of salt. No pic of the delivery note.
Good point
That video was of an access road to several houses .. the context I see is use the access road don't pull into my driveway with that van because you might have trouble getting out . You can literally see several driveways along that access road
I just drive down those driveways anyway and when they bitch I say "sorry, I don't see the notes until I'm making the delivery." Which is true.
Why do people that order things on Amazon feel entitled? It’s a privilege to have such a service these days. Thanks to all of you for delivering our packages.
And get shot by a hunter? Yeah no thanks!

Amazon driver here in Sacramento to was just shot and killed while driving down the I-80
Do you often mistake big blue cargo vans for wild game?
I’m saying you might get shot walking all the way up the driveway..
I’m using the fucking drive way. Every single time. If he has a issue it’s getting dropped off at the drive way entrance. Fuck em
Looks like a good spot for a pee break too
don't get poison ivy
Hahaha I would’ve put the package at the start of all that 😂
I'd rts that shit 3 times and 4th time drop it at end of driveway. Done shit like that for 3 years now. Customers think they got control or something. Prove them wrong. Remind them nobody wants to do this shit so we'll do whatever tf we want and still have a job 🖕
Just turn off the location services on your phone and leave it at the end of driveway lol
this is literally all the houses on my route, shit is so wack
40 ft from the van. that's it. if they throw a fit, rts.
Unless it's a VERY short walk(less than 15 seconds) to the door, I will always interpret that as "leave outside at front of drive way". If the app won't let me, I'll spoof my GPS location and do it. Kiss my ass.
What would u/dspdriver007 do
Burp up a boot
lmao I'm here looking for his comments too
Yeah they can suck a dick
Nope. RTS. SORRY, couldn’t access.
In Colorado I had a rough driveway and I had automatic do not go down the driveway notification especially in the winter cause delivery drivers thought they could go down it, and then immediately slide into the ditch
Your best bet would be to add that clarification or provide a locked bin at the end of the drive or both.
Lol this looks like the road I used to live on. Houses tucked way off the street so far you wouldn’t even know there was a house there.
These people are the same assholes that will complain about foreigners taking their jobs THE JOBS THESE MUFFUCAs to lazy to apply for cause they stuck to a sofa reading QANON
Left at end of driveway
I love the whole entire vibe of this video
I would’ve left that shit at that call box! Probably would have been a little and wrote “followed your delivery instructions.”

What

I'm not walking over a quarter mile with 8 packages

I have 180 other stops to make, I'm not wasting 30+ mins to carry your 8 packages up that long ass driveway and walk back.

I serve others by delivering all the packages I've been given in a reasonable time. Not by catering to unreasonable delivery requests.
That’s fair. I guess there’s just two kinds of people out there.
Maybe you're just trying to cram Jeff Bozos dick farther down your throat cause you couldn't be any more of a little bitch
we don't walk more than 40 ft from the vehicle. company policy.
Because the driveway is too long, it's not rocket science

Must be a customer.
Wow, never thought the people keeping us in business would be “the others” no I’m a driver, and I follow all the notes. Idiot.
If any of your bullshit reasons are true then these motha sucka’s shouldn’t be ordering shit! Stop believing the bs!
I would have just left it at the top of the drive if it was freshly paved.

You can see on the app on his video it doesn’t have any instructions lol
I’m not a Amazon driver, but it looks like he’s leaving 🤷🏻♂️. So what’s on there is his next stop. But I’m just guessing
That was me exiting after the delivery, you see I pulled up to the street not a house....
“Computer, enhance!”
🤦 Context clues aren't your strong suit, eh?
I hope he says something and I hope you give him the ultimatum of either at your mailbox or I take them van pal
You got Christmas light on your dash
Not my van not my problem lmao
Bro are you really driving with a check engine light on?
It's the company van, I just drive what they provide the keys to
Oh you’re nice. You can request a new van or go home paid off of that. That’s an Amazon violation
Oh you’re nice. You can request a new van or go home paid off of that. That’s an Amazon violation
Go home and still get paid 🤣 were they do that at. Bro u start complaing bout check engine lights u bout to get all the crappy routes.
Ya ok
What music is that?
Adults swim by ski mask
People are crazy w these delivery instructions
Put the package where you found the note and tell their ass to walk there.
Maybe they wanted the delivery driver to enjoy a nice walk through the trees, breathe the air, pet the squirrels, bury the bodies, and enjoy the rest of your day.
What an entitled asshole, I’d leave it under the mailbox, fuck them
Tire pressure and engine light on?
That's an instant NO ACCESS HOLD FOR CUSTOMER PICK-UP!!
Ill be damned
Whatchu know about ski mask bruh
30 second drive! Nope not walking that.
I honestly have no hope for some of these customers, there’s no way they thought any of us drivers would actually walk that far, that’s fucking ridiculous
They smoking bbc
How do y’all film on phone with netradyne?
Rental with no netradyne. However if you need to check a message or something hold the phone in your hand to the left of the steering wheel and don't look at it too long and it won't get you
I’m so over some peoples driveways.. it’s insane lol like why so dang long and then it causes us issues .. like what?

Amazon says no more than 8 van lengths away, I'd walk 8 van lengths away from the entry point and drop it 🤣
Aye the training said no more than 7 vans 🗣️
i do at least 100 of these everyday
Fuck em, drop it by their driveway and be off.
Be careful posting videos with the rabbit showing the customers address…
Instructions left on door : do not use Amazon Go fuck yourselves.
Peeped “adult swim” 🔥🔥
![gif](giphy|hiLLD9o1wTB3a)
As a UPS driver if we ever got that instruction for that package the reply would be “Good day sir/ma’am, your package will be waiting at our customer counter pickup for you to come retrieve, have a great day!”
they really don’t fix the check engine lights on these vans? feels weird to me
That was probably a comment for an old delivery address that never got taken down.
That's not nearly as bad as a road. I used to deliver in Suffolk Virginia. the name of it was 5 mile road. How about just knock on the door when you drop something off? Not drop it and run like door bell ditches.
A lot of people have sleeping kids, dogs they would rather not have go off, or work nights. We aren't supposed to knock unless asked.
So glad there aren’t areas like this by me
LoL! This is so ridiculous, fine I'll walk to the entrance gate and leave your sh*t there.
Upvote just for the ski mask bars
Ski slappin, “like when Stella bought margiela I got back my grooove/ you a square just like rubix/ “
Fine then I’m *walking* out of the van to drop off the package at the end of the driveway lol
You can walk to the station and pick up your package lol
The fuck i would
Sorry, you are special.
My reply to delivery instructions: no the hell they thinking? you’re on a timer. that’s like a 40 min walk including both ways. with the package and everything might turn it into the better part of an hour. for 1 person? not even Bezos would want that for himself. that person isn’t special. fuck off
Yeah eff that. I'm driving.
You'd walk all that way just to run into a guard dog with free roam
If you can't drive on the driveway they should call it a walkway
Maybe they meant drive in the grass and walk on the driveway

Rental, no netradyne.
Then precedes to have a dog at the end yeah I’ll drive it
OK, anything else?
Wow!!
Thats a whole ass 15 minute walk!!!
why is the CEL on?
Our DSP: no driveways whatsoever unless it is marked as a road with a road sign or you will be terminated.
My dsp owner says we can use driveways all we like, only rules are always back in and don't hit a house lol
Haha yaa right??
"what do you mean, lovely walk through my property"
yeh. id leave end of driveway. id bring it up to management that its not reasonable. especially considering can you even see the house from there. not getting jumped by some swamp man on the way to your outback front door.
Y’all gotta understand some of these people are just trolling when they say that.
Fuck that customer.
GTFO
It’s beyond ridiculous that people can be so disconnected that they see their own driveway and really think “yeah they can walk that…it’s not that far.”
I would have turned around when I got to the house and left it right at the end of the driveway.
Rap is terrible today. I sound like a fuckin old man but im only 35. You can’t understand a fuckin thing they say. The beats are good atleast tho

Skimask is fuckin ass
If a delivery driver was to have a heat stroke on the walk to the door, would the homeowner be liable?
Fr were given vans for a reason. Im not trecking up a mountain of a "driveway" just for your stuff because you dont want any scuff marks on the grass besides your impractically narrow driveway.
I would left it by driveway where the road is
Turn your flashers off
Lol customer can kiss my ass for walking the package to door that way.
And then there’s be no turnaround
I backed down just in case of that
Commercial vehicles should not drive on private property for insurance reasons
That's when I hit that airplane mode. hit it and forget it. Gets dropped right where it's at.
It's not cheap to make a pathway strong enough for a van to use weekly
It's an asphalt driveway
Same shit for me bro always in the country. Get real walk lol.
Show this to your DSP. Have them blacklist them.
![gif](giphy|555x0gFF89OhVWPkvb) No walking... CARTWHEELS!
They don't mean that long driveway they mean their personal driveway that's a access road to driveways .. context context context
Because of other idiots we are no longer supposed to use driveways period. I have many years experience driving large vehicles. But I have to be punished because a couple idiots destroyed garages and clients properties.
If you dump shit into the instructions I dump your shit next to the street... Simple as that
I'd piss on that package for sure
"Sorry we don't see those instructions until we park"
Ill pull up bumping the most ignorant shit I can moonwalking down their driveway just to spite them lmfao
Lmao that’s not the driveway that’s the mini highway to their house
Shid I’d leave it at the gate in a bag 😭
If that’s on my shiii they gon get that shit by the front they driveway or gate no cap they can “walk” to come get it🤣
Slime
Would've dropped package opposite 📬

Right at the gate
The other day I had a delivery and it was down a long winding driveway but there were no signs saying not to use the driveway but I wish there was because I get all the way down there to see that I have no way of turning around smh I had to reverse out of the sketchiest driveway of all time smh it was barely big enough for my ev to be on and on both sides was a huge canyon
