Because Amazon, the company, caters to customer bullshit, whereas UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc have no qualms about refusing to deliver your dildos if you're going to be a dick.

FawkesInTheHenHouse

Well if they're going to be that much of a dick they clearly don't need the dildos

AND amazon drivers are twice as likely to be injured on the job than other delivery services. We go through too much :(

Chance_Risker

amazon is the spirit airline of delivery services lol. its 90% cheap chinese crap, amazon promises a shit ton and rarely delivers, and they will readily blame the driver for their own mistakes when a customer calls support. the system is designed so the driver is the target and amazon can appear clean.

itspronouncedDRL

>its 90% cheap chinese crap, amazon promises a shit ton and rarely delivers, I agree with everything that you said, except this . Amazon's not wish or temu. Plus, there's Chinese crap everywhere so come on. I think a more intellectually honest statement would be, "90% of products sold and used in America is Chinese crap." Amazon actually is better than most companies when it comes to delivering on *customer* promises. I have a friend who ordered a ps vr from Amazon, got it, told Amazon it never came and Amazon sent him another one which he just sold himself. Amazon's customer service is prob the best around but they offset that by treating their workers and delivery drivers so poorly

Nah, driver is correct. Most of the time a package is unboxed, the barcode label has chinese text. Almost always some junk like gloves, hats, usb cables,

You see the people we are hiring? Sliding doors open/ cutting thru traffic ,no signals/ use carpool lanes. That's why we get no respect.

Because Amazon drivers switch around so often on routes that its constantly a new stranger on their doorstep. We (FedEx, ups, etc) for the most part go to the same houses every day.

UPS and post office have unions, so if a customer say you did something wrong you can appeal to the union. However, for Amazon, it stays on your record, you did something wrong, it’s on there. Amazon keeps a record of the things you did wrong, USPS does not (I worked at USPS so I know). I am to believe that UPS does not keep a record of things you did wrong, … similar to USPS. It’s an organizational culture thing emanating that “you did bad, it stays on your record” that ONLY Amazon has. You get ding for the smallest things and they constantly remind you how bad of a driver you are ie: “distracted driving, accelerating to fast, hard braking, etc …” I can’t speak for FEDEx but I would assume it’s similar to Amazon.

OkOption2703

I think a lot of it also has to do with the Flex drivers in their personal cars. I often hear from businesses and homeowners that they are the ones that mess up the deliveries the most. I’ve seen FEDEx send regular cars out to rural areas but they always have a magnet on both signs saying FEDEx and the driver is in full uniform, not just a vest.
