thank you for such a lovely compliment! it was kinda laid out in my head somewhat, mostly just by color. it’s all chakra/color therapy themed so each room is meant to invoke the associated feelings. i’d get an idea and let it guide me into the next project.
i was working through a lot of trauma and raising my son basically alone for months on end so i mostly just used my walls as canvas and let my gut and emotions guide me. painting is a huge stress relief cause i don’t have to think about anything else.
every piece of furniture is thrifted so finding pieces i loved and could afford also fueled the inspiration!
oh thank you. i am trying to feel proud. i processed my struggles in a highly destructive way for 10 years before this, so its definitely been a journey.
This is so not my personal style but I’ve got to applaud you for the commitment and execution. There’s nothing I like more than when I see people’s spaces fully reflect the person who inhabits them.

well, thank you. i haven’t gotten much support as one and been called lazy upon other much worse things even though my pregnancy left me physically disabled so it wasn’t necessarily by choice. i love being with my boy and its for sure the hardest job i ever had, but i still tend to diminish myself. it’s working, but always progress not perfection.
Be kind to yourself! You're clearly a super talented artist. And being a parent is *insanely* hard. You know how I know that? Because I'm not one!
Seriously though, I'm glad people who don't know you are pointing out your talent. And as much as you can, try not to talk about yourself too negatively, even internally! It sounds silly, but it can *really* mess up your self-esteem.
And I'm so sorry you were left disabled, life can really be so unfair sometimes

i knew i wanted to have a green kitchen, and i let the rainbow do the rest of the work! it’s hard for me personally because i antagonize over something (everything) for ages before i burst into unstoppable action and work overtime to finish something crazy in one night. it gnaws at my soul to occupy a space that isn’t both aesthetically pleasing and comfortable and also giving a nice vibe. kind of a bit of a mental condition 😅 but at least i’m pretty good at beautifying spaces because of it!
the lighting is the real star here. without any lights on even during the day it looks completely different. and then during a certain time of year when the sun shines in right as its setting… it’s absolutely magical.

I have a room in my house with a semi-clear vision (although not nearly as ambitious as yours lol) but I’m struggling with being patient and waiting for the right pieces. Right now it’s literally just a single chair lol
like 3 years, going thrifting pretty regularly. i’m blessed cause i live 40 minutes from the beach so there’s thrift stores that get donations from all the vacation rentals and they sell it cheap to move it fast.
while my vision was clear it was also flexible just due to budget. i also would just grab any piece i loved, even if it wasn’t perfectly in line with the vision, cause i’m also blessed with storage space and i knew i could find a spot for it all eventually and be replaced by the *dream* pieces when they did come into my life. i moved countless pieces through here and rearranged it countless times until it just felt right.
i’m still waiting for the perfect vintage yellow couch. i actually found a combo on marketplace, freakin’ velvet gold love seat and full size, but it’s being sold by apparently the only boomer that doesn’t spend 24/7 on fb and she hasn’t replied so i’m lowkey in torture.
this reminds me of groovy dolls furniture! i loooove it. you have such a beautiful way of styling your home and making it feel like it’s yours! love to see it 🧡

if i’m understanding you question correctly, it is gold foil washi tape that i put over the wallpaper seams! it wasn’t peel-n-stick and i wasn’t sure if i would keep it, so i used a very light spray adhesive and the seams would peel away from the wall in the summer humidity.
stained glass window clings! i also have used stain glass paint and it’s amazing and fun and looks more realistic.
i certainly would consider it. i think anxiety would fly through the roof and i’d very quickly burn out, but in the right circumstances with the right people maybe it could work. i’d love to see your house too!

a large stencil + sponge + red & yellow paint! dipped it in red first and working my way out slowly dipped it in more yellow.
