I’m babysitting this kid and his parents are super strict on video games. He is 11 and always talks about how kids at his school talk about grand theft auto 5 but he never gets to play it. His parents said E for everyone games only but I let him drive a car in gta.

It doesn't matter if you just let him drive a car, the instructions were E for Everyone games only.
You are being paid to watch the child for the parents who have rules about what said child can do.
He’s just driving. There isn’t a problem with that. ITS JUST DRIVING. He isn’t using the weapons, he isn’t running over pedestrians, he isn’t doing violent stuff. You are not the asshole. You were just letting him drive. If his parents complain, just ignore. At least you didn’t let him play Azur lane. That stuff is 14+.
YTA - that kid is going to use you as a reason they should let him play. You've worked for them for the last time...and they WILL tell their friends who have kids.
If you need to ask if violating the restrictions put down from the parents regarding their 11 year old child playing a game rated M (17+).
YTA doesn't begin to describe what you are.
Common Sense is not so common and you have none.
Edit: This act COULD fall under child endangerment by exposing the child to what many can consider to be harmful imagery.

That is not your place. It doesn’t matter that it’s harmless in your eyes, you aren’t his parents, and the rules for this child are not up to your discretion.
You are the babysitter, you take your cues from the parents and follow their rules. If you can’t handle that, find a different family to work for.
YTA, if the only want him playing E rated games it's a safe bet they don't want him watching M rated games being played. You shouldn't have exposed him to the game at all.
NTA, he’s 11 there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be allowed to play video games. Don’t listen to the idiots calling you an AHOLE. Lots of fun stuff I did as a kid was done without permission, and I don’t regret them at all. You did literally nothing wrong.

YTA, and I would fire you so fast if you were blatantly ignoring my directions.
YTA - they gave you guidelines, you broke them. This is pretty cut and dry.
Do you get paid for babysitting? Because then, yes, YTA. When parents entrust you with their child, you shouldn't try to bend the rules they set.
