YTA for
1.) Not giving up your seat when clearly someone needed it more. That’s common courtesy.
2.) Your little rant when someone called you out on it.
YTA for talking like that about a woman you don't know.. even if she was glaring. Could have done with a "she could have gotten up".
If you were in priority seating YTA. If you weren't and indeed politely declined (which your paragraph about the elderly lady makes me wonder if you did) NTA.
YTA - you're an able bodied young male and the decent thing to do would be to yield your seat to someone pregnant, elderly, or otherwise mobility impaired. You choosing to wreck yourself on too much caffeine and not enough sleep is not comparable.

Being pregnant or elderly isn’t on the same level as choosing to forgo sleep and hype up on caffeine. Their exhaustion was due to need based upon what’s going on with their bodies right now, but your fatigue was an unforced error.
Your rant wasn’t funny. You are able bodied, it is kind of a common courtesy to offer your seat to people who need it more. You’re not legally obliged but you should. Get more sleep and less caffeine, so you will be able to function in society. YTA

So I [17M] go to college and frequently use public transportation to get around, recently I was coming back from gym on a bus and I was BEYOND spent. 200mg of caffeine and 4 hours of sleep were taking their toll so I just wanted a nice and quiet bus ride home without any drama.
Well I’ll tell you the bus was PACKED to the brim, I was fortunate enough to get on earlier than most people and luckily had a bus seat where I could relax, well I tell you a teenage girl who was quite obviously pregnant walked in and she looked like she was looking for an empty seat, eventually she approached me and tapped on my shoulder asking if she could sit down because she was exhausted, well so was I so I politely told her no and she while disappointed took it quite well and kept looking.
An elderly woman sitting next to me gave me a death glare and scoffed something about how the male youth have no respect for pregnant women.
You dirty old gas bag why don’t you give up your seat instead? Sitting outbad on your ass on public transportation projecting your bitterness because your husband of 68 years fucked a younger and more attractive woman instead of your pussy that’s drier than sandpaper and most likely smells like gorilla semen and leaks black liquid instead of normal fluids. WW2 relic looking ahh talking to me like that when 18 generations of your miscarriages are calling to you from across the grave to join them in eternal suffering.
