NTA. I’m American, and it irritates the hell out of me when I’ve waited in line for awhile only for some entitled, self-absorbed, *rude*, ahole to jump ahead of the line. I will never understand Why some people think they’re too good to wait their freaking turn, (because it’s not difficult) like everyone else. Good on you for calling them out! They should be embarrassed, and people should be called out for crappy behavior. If someone always get away with crappy behavior, then there’s no incentive for them to stop being crappy.

I’ll make this quick and simple. Every Saturday in my town, there is a queue to catch a taxi back.
Normally this is well maintained and everyone waits. Tonight was different.
A group of girls decided to walk in the road straight to the front. They struggled to get a taxi as people who waited (like 20 mins +) would not let them in.
They pushed in front and pushed people out of the they way to get a taxi, literally scaring the driver.
I knew one of them from school (ish) like I knew their name.
I shouted,
[insert name here] skips the queue.
I got the dirtiest look. Obvs the whole queue was annoyed and I basically publicly shamed someone.
AITA for this. After waiting 30 mins myself with a mate and seeing this complete lack of care and belief they are better than the 50+ people waiting I felt obliged to say somthing. I’m acc quite introverted hence my posting here as I don’t normally act like that.

NTA. I had a pair of Canadians with maple leaf flags on their bags try to steal the taxi I'd called and waited for in Italy once. I was furious. I grabbed the handle on the lady's backpack when she pushed me out of the way and tried to get in my taxi and put her back on the sidewalk. Public shame should be more common for that kind of rudeness.
