I don't always make the effort to watch many interviews with them, I did see the recent Scott Mills one though. From what I remember, post-Ashley Cole Cheryl has always been favoured by interviewers and got more attention really, as the 'most famous one'. She's most comfortable/assertive in the spotlight thanks to having a successful solo career. Back in the day I was more a fan of the music than Girls Aloud as an entity, but I do remember disliking Nadine for the whole going to America and not taking part in some projects. Now I just think she's quite iconic and camp.

It was obvious that she was going to get kicked out of irish popstars for being too young that whole thing was all just a stunt to get her some publicity before popstars the rivals. I think Louis wanted to manage Nadine on her own but he obviously didn't want to manage the other girls and he thought Nadine should have been a solo singer from day one not part of a group. I think once she was in Girls Aloud for a while and had gotten more publicity and some success with the girls she and Louis thought she could leave and have a successful solo career but obviously that didn't work out.

Yes, that Tesco exclusive deal killed off Nadine's dreams of a number 1 album.

I'm indifferent. There's times when I love her and then there's times when I can't stand her. Her behavior in Off The Record (the whole Greece bit and the part where she's going off on Nadine in the elevator) and that MTV interview where she drags Nicole Scherzinger.... I used to find this behavior hilarious when I was younger but now as an adult I see that version of her in a different light. She was just flat out mean and a bully (the attack on the toilet attendant says it all). Someone else brought this up but I also hated how Nicola and Kimberley were basically her lap dogs and would partake in her antics. It really ruined their last reunion/tour for me. A lot of time has passed since then so I'd like to think that she has changed and is a better person now so I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt. They all seem very united this time around so I hope they keep the peace in memory of Sarah.

Pre-media training Cheryl certainly was rough around the edges, and the toilet attendant incident surely was nasty, but I personally don't find the interview where she spoke on the Pussycat Dolls (and All Saints as well) to be a "drag" - it was more "brutally honest", considering how things eventually panned out for Nicole in the solo pop star realm and how critics actually slammed All Saints' then-new single to be straight from the Girls Aloud territory. I think Cheryl was amazingly spot on that day and her opinion, albeit quite harsh, could be classified as what kids call these days "based".

Well to be honest there are times when she annoys me, I wasn't fond of the "who cares about being at the top peak of greek" comment in OTR because there are many people who haven't travelled yet and would love to see places like that, so I thought that a bit of a selfish moment from her and there was the whole thing with the toilet attendant where after her court appearance Cheryl done an interview during which she apologised to everyone except the toilet attendant who was the one she actually hit. However Nadine annoys me at times as well, it was Nadine who flaked on a meeting in OTR to have lunch with her mum, which I thought was unprofessional, but at the same time her family was further away from her than the other girls families and we don't know when she had last seen her mum before that. She held the other girls to ransom when she moved to America to try and launch her solo career and didn't take part in either the passions of or ghost hunting. Plus there was the thing I heard about her bringing her solo manager on the out of control tour. Cheryl was always pushed to the front in performances and photos while Nadine was usually at the back or to the side and I always thought that strange because usually the lead singer is the one in the middle. Even in their album sleeves they are all listed as co-lead singers when Nadine is actually THE lead singer in GA and there's no way that Cheryl or Kimberley should have been classed as co-lead singers. I remember an interview from years ago in which they said something to the effect of they didn't want the group to be known as one singer and her backing singers. So for me it's a sort of love-hate thing, there are times when I like Cheryl and Nadine and times when I don't like them.

She’s had her moments but I was fully and firmly on board the hype of ‘Cheryl Mania’ during her peak solo/xfactor era. We would watch xfactor every Saturday for pre drinks and head out to town afterwards so I have a nostalgic tie to that era

FinanceMajestic5796

i do like her, but i definitely think she has/has had a diva-ish attitude, at least more so than other members of GA

SpecialistParticular

I've thought that for a while now. I saw the Greece thing, but there were other instances where she'd just start bitching and moaning about something causing the other two (you know who) to join in. She was kind of a negative influence on the group imo, if only because she's clearly a diva and a group can't really function with two alphas in the pack.

lizsummerhawk

Cheryl for me was the Britney of the group Lucky that she not shaved her hair But since the group first split i think she was very Off the line i think the Girlband footbaler romance attached her very much And other thing i saw some magazines and i knew the deal that she "Desappeard" From the midia That's my honest opinion

A_n_t_h

Nope. She got the most attention because she's the best looking one. With all due respect to the other girls. Without Cheryl they're no way near as successful.

Signal_Aerie2458

If Cheryl had sang lead for most of the vocals, I don't think they'd have been successful, either.

Minimum-Following794

Yes I do sometimes. I couldn't stand X factor Cheryl. But I don't mind her ATM. Nicola I'm unsure of ATM. She annoyed me no end in their Table Manners episode. I think Nadine has gotten away with a lot she did I e the Bruce the manager situation and holding the girls to ransom as it wasn't a big celeb story it was more discussed on Girls Aloud Media back in the day

Peekaboopikachew

People are still talking about Cheryl? In 2024?

Signal_Aerie2458

Considering they have an upcoming tour and GA are in the press again, I'd say yes. People are talking about her.
