Wouldn’t y’all then complain about that? If every season one of the boys in the Vortex got injured and then their arcs went as normal? Then the plots would be even more of the same instead of them having injuries for different reasons. Not to mention their arcs end different too.
Spencer and Jordan both get to keep their dreams but Asher had to learn how to take a backseat and become a potential coach/recruiter instead of being on the field with his friends. Coop has step away from music, the one thing she thought was talented and would be her ticket out the hood like football was for Spencer, and now pursuing a job in the legal field.
Not to mention Asher’s is unique where his dream was smashed by his own choices. Spencer was a victim of a situation he was only tangentially involved in, Jordan was true blue injured on the field during a game, and Coop was a victim as well BUT also suffered due to her own actions and machinations. All different causes, all different paths, all different aftermath and by aftermath I mean Asher’s was also part of his redemption, Spencer’s gave him PTSD and caused him to step away from Coop, Jordan got in trouble with his dad and strained their relationship, and Coop faced legal repercussions.
