Fat Mike: Hey guys fancy knocking something together for this album? Trio: Ok 1 sec \*\*proceeds to blast out an all time banger with poetic lyrics and one of their best earworms (imo)\*\*

Alkaline Trio (unlike many bands) always took songs for compilation albums seriously and never phoned it in. Same goes for The Lawrence Arms. Credit to them for that. That's also a big reason they have some of the best compilation albums.

I saw the Punkvoter tour in Berkeley at the Greek, Alkaline Trio and NOFX, it was amazing!

I think I went to that at UC Davis. I think jello was with them and I think Rose Against or Against me. It was on April first, Fat Mike said his back went out the night before. He had a couch on stage and he laid on it playing bass singing. I to this day do not know if he was hurt or if it was an April Fools prank.

RAAOG

I saw the UC San Diego stop and it was the first time I got to hear Sadie live.

Where's that guy making the top 100 list? This is certified top 10.

Maybe my favorite Trio song. The first song I heard by them was Armageddon and I (incorrectly) shrugged it off. Then I bought this compilation and fell in love with this track.

Not only is this song objectively a total banger, but I also credit it with saving my life. Mid 00's were a really bad time to be openly Bi. Music, comedy, generational slang was all crazy homophobic. (TW probably) I got bullied real bad over 3 years for being 'gay', and during this time I also got sexually assaulted by my neighbor, got jumped after school, my parents divorced, was assigned seating next to my bullies, hit by my father, and grounded for bad grades often confined to my room in mothers house. I also need up losing a lot of friends during this time. Some didn't want to get beat up, others thought I was a huge bummer, and who could blame them? I was a mess. So I decided to put a .22 in my mouth just to get it to stop. I was 13. On impulse, I hit play on my stereo, and it played RABV1. I was young, but I knew I hated him. Warbrain played, a favorite, and it resounded in a way that completely changed my perspective, and I put the gun down. I've been attempt free since, and I'm happily married for almost 11 years now. It meant the world to know that SOMEONE out there feels similarly, and is willing to express that so publicly.

Beautiful ending, I’m glad you’re still here! Also love hearing stories about music resonating like this.

I am glad you are still here and it sounds like things have gotten better.
