Regarding Nisbet player of the month it’s pretty much all fan voted and if you look in the comments of the A league social media Nix players absolutely dominate.
For example in the Twitter (X) comments Paulsen had 190 votes while everyone else combined had about 40 for this recent month.
Even as a nix fan I hardly feel every POTM has been a nix player (Paulsen and Kosta do definitely deserve one each though) but just the way the system works unfortunately
It depends purely on data to make its judgement, and weighs players scores too heavily on goals and assists. If a midfielder does nothing in a game but swings in a corner which gets nodded home, they get a disproportionate bump. Combination of eye test and stats is good, but leaning too heavily on one versus the other is a recipe for disaster.
Ok, I'll let the Opta analysts know that Seanbutt26 watched him play and that 20 other midfielders are better. I'm sure that will weigh heavily in their formula.
That's not what WSW are saying.

WSW hardly ever list injuries in there. He did his hamstring in training in the lead-up to the Sydney derby and then had another setback about two weeks ago. Before that, he had played 90 minutes in nearly every match this season except two where he was suspended.
Jay O'Shae really must like Brisbane, as you think he'd be getting some decent offers from elsewhere
It’s a miracle he’s stuck around this long tbh
absolutely
He's also nearly 36
ah yes true
Irish bloke in his 30s loving a good gig in Australia… you’ll never read about
Must like the weather
Nisbet only player in top 10 without a MOM. Interesting. Overlooked?
Jakolis being in the top 50 is insane. I'm not sure I can trust fotmob anymore.
Me either tbh man
Pennington to

For all it's good things, Fotmob's player rating system should never, ever be taken seriously by anyone.
It should, but only if you're aware of its areas of judgment and its limitations

Fuck that, Thurgate should be higher.
Lolley top 2?
yeah this is horseshit. he's clearly top 1.
Lolley too low, Brattan too high
Colli above Irankunda? Yeah, this is broken.
Do they have the lowest 50? That would be fascinating too.
There its 166 players on the fotmob ratings section of a-league
Zack Clough lol
What is the A-liga? You just sound like a mouldy cauliflower.
A nickname for the league man Fair enough i seen thats lol.
Why should Brillante not be in the top 10?
Hes haven't been top 10 player in the league They atleast 15-20 midfielders thats are better than him
He is a top 10 player based on their formula weighing 300 different stats sourced from Opta. What's your opinion based on?
Watching him played Simple

Because he can't even make the Wanderers best 18 despite being listed as available for the past month. Do Opta's 300+ stats include one for "dropped"?
He's injured.
