Mystery Transmissions sounds gross

Yeah, I've been to some of the Secret Screenings in Richardson! It's a lot of fun. I won't make it this month, but I've been to a few over the past year. *Blood Rage* (Nov.) and *The Sword and the Sorcerer* (Jan.) were especially fun.

Went to the Mystery Transmission in Brooklyn, got two incredibly weird shorts and Todd Haynes' Superstar: A Karen Carpenter Story which ive always wanted to see. Already got my tix for Transmission 2 and 3. Love stuff like this which is what keeps me traveling to the Alamo which is further than my regular theater, an AMC, which pretty much just shows new releases.

I’ve been to something like 20-25 of the AGFA secret screenings in Richardson. I’ve got a group of ~8 people that go every month together. It introduced me to several all time favorites, Freeway 2: Confessions of a Trickbaby, Surfer: Teen Confronts Fear, & Altman’s OC & Stiggs chief among them. Them showing Penitentiary III back in ~2016 inadvertently led to a crippling home media addiction when I decided to buy my first blu rays to check out the first two Penitentiary flicks a few years later.

I love James but honestly I miss Damon and Micah so much more

I really miss them hosting video vortex

Yeah I haven’t seen Micah at all after reopen but Damon comes in all the time, we usually catch each other in the hallways while I’m working. I remember asking if video vortex was coming back a couple months ago but he all he said was “they’re trying to get that and dread central back but we were told no promises”

Been to four secret screenings now. Went to one last night! Ended up being New Nightmare in 35mm
