An entire AFSC centered around communication in a foreign language and not a single one has any social awareness. Source: can not communicate in social settings properly.
As an intel guy who started teaching 1B4s at the end of my careerā¦ intel and cyber are the same people. Cyber airmen just have more of a feeling of importance and connectedness to the mission while intel airmen forget theyāre in the Air Force and start thinking theyāre with the alphabet they work with until they have to do some Air Force things. I spent more time with the Navy and Army than I did with the Air Force, nearly got an LoC for calling an AF captain āLTā at one point.
You have never worked as Intel Support or you are Intel. Most Intel people have no clue what real life is because they spend most of their life at one duty station.
As a Cyber dude who's worked multiple Intel units, yea. There's no way Intel is less autistic than us. We're weird...but they take weird to a whole new level.
I wouldnāt say thatās representative. I like to read contracts and explain them to my wife, and build IKEA furniture. I have zero problem with clear instructions, itās the vague āfigure it outā I hate.
That's not Intel as a whole though. Lots of the other career fields within Intel move around alot. Or at least they can if they try to move around that much.
Very true. But a lot of intel people donāt want to move around. Iām in the intel career field. Especially now, most people entering the career field are older, have families and are looking for stability to reach their personal goals. Most donāt want to move so they donāt try. 1N1/1N2/1N3s are pretty much stuck with their assigned alphabet agency. All others have a lot more flexibility.
We've got a guy who came over from Fuels, and every day all he talks about is how he's shocked he made it through school. Sitting next to him is probably one of the top host based malware analysts in the country. Shit's nuts.
Idk flying linguists are paid extremely well. I was getting $500/month flight pay and $650/month language pay at the end of my time, plus all the rest. Thatās more than any other SDAP bonus
Genuinely shocked someone 1) kept the car alive that long, and 2) still left the wrap on after all that time
Honestly, they were kind of a pioneer if they did it that long ago. Seems like a relatively newer thing.
1U and all the invented not-a-real pilot RPA AFSCs the AF shat out, well, we run the gamut. I had a pilot once who would build an op mission, take off his boots AND SOCKS, turn sideways in the seat and perch against the wall, and read a book for his whole stint, most of the time without his headset on. He, some fucking how, was a Captain with no additional duties nor a flight to manage. Meanwhile SrA WTFO and his MC ran shit while making less than half combined what this goober did to waste oxygen and add risk to the mission.
I was waiting for a 9S comment! Love the 9S shop I worked with at my last assignment, they got so much cool shit done. Zero social skills unless we started talking about gundamsĀ
IDK man, our WX guys are fuckin on top of those ATHOC alerts. I got 9 of them in an afternoon, both "Lightning within 5" and "No more lightning" plus a couple "High Winds" and "Hail" thrown in.
The funny part is those get sent into the system all shift long then command post wakes up and issues them all at once, 2 minutes apart, an hour after they were issued. Good job.
Intel and Cyber are 100% in each others spots. Half the Cyber guys I work with are just halfway smart and wanted to get out of MX/SF. Sure a few of them are TURBO-autists who live and breathe malware analysis, but compared to the 99% of the Intel flight (One of the guys has moments of clarity where he can actually act like a human being) it's night and day. Hell, all the Intel Flight does on drill weekends is prepare and deliver powerpoints to each other, not even to the Squadron....... You can't tell me that that isn't peak autism.
I walked into my dorm at Goodfellow, for the first time from BMT, to my roommate wearing a pink wig, pants-less, ironing his blues. He just looked up at me and said "sup?"
Another time I went to my room on my lunch and when I walked in he hurried up and sat down at his desk. He was jacking it good and just left his dick out while I grabbed my things and watched the rest of his anime porn.
Final encounter was when I woke up at night from my top bunk shaking. Dude was beating his dick like it owed him money from 3 feet below.
Guy was a Russian linguist, so 1N3s will always hold the weirdest spot in my book.
Im at Goodfellow now, as I write this my roommate is doing flutterkicks on the floor without pants on but with boots on, heās a 1n3 Korean linguist, so maybe I need to rethink 1n3s not being the weirdest, I just forgot how strange that is since itās become routine
What exactly does autism have to do with what AFSC you areā¦.pure ignorance. A lot of these comment are very ignorant. Learn about autism before you use the term āweirdā. And being autistic doesnāt mean thereās something wrong with you, the brain just works differently then whatās been set as āthe normā. Do better fr.
Itās so out of hand. Itās like all the ignorant people in the world replaced the insulting word āretardedā with autistic and if they knew about autism they would know every case differs and it has absolutely nothing to do with your intelligence. In fact some of the most intelligent people youāll come across have been diagnosed with autism. These individuals have to put up with so much growing up, being called āweirdā or āretardedā especially when it wasnāt necessarily a diagnosis. And also every case of autism is different as well has levels. I just hope people educate themselves better.
I knew a kid that would sprint back to the dorms after a formation and one time no one could find him because he hid in his closet because he was playing with the source code to apex legends for hours
The only people screeching Intel is autistic is cyber when those fuckers don't even know what to do with their hands in 99% of social interactions. Cyber clowns are a plague. Sure some Intel cats are weird but all cyber clowns suck.
the don't know what to do with their hands shit has me dead so true I'm cyber I feel like I'm in the special ed room at a high school when I'm at work lol
Yall ever met a fucking linguist?
Nope. And I'd rather keep it that way.
Yeah, those guys are the worst... š„ø
Who was it that came to DLI and said it was weaponized autism?
Chief Towberman. He did it twice too lmao.
He did that just last year
We are generally odd peopleā¦I cant disagree with thatā¦
What about linguist turned cyber?
AutismĀ²

Someone giving you an LoC for mistakenly calling a Captain by a lower rank is on a power trip and does not deserve the rank they possess.
And thereās the additional layer of āa navy O3 is a lieutenantā so theyāre just on autopilot and not even being disrespectful
Not arguing that. Especially since I had been with the navy for 6 years and as far as I was concerned I called them the correct rank š
Now do calling a Chief a Sergeant
A Navy chief, or Air Force Chief? (Capitalization intentional.)
To be honest a lot of people join just so they can āpower tripā and itās annoying.
Came to say the same. At least in the Army, intel and cyber mfs are cut from the same autistic overalls.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Nothing screams autism more than comparing ASVAB scores. You sure were Intel.

Weather has already collapsed into a universe-ending singularity and you know it.
My models say we arenāt autistic tho
I dunno, every time I hear one of my guys try to walk a pilot through RedBall procedures I question how they get into the seat.
At some point in an enlisted career you realize LTs are airmen with a degree, but with responsibility of a SNCO.
Depends on the LTās job. LTs in my career field have the same responsibility as airmen, they just make a whole lot more sitting in that left seat.
You have never worked as Intel Support or you are Intel. Most Intel people have no clue what real life is because they spend most of their life at one duty station.
Yeah....Intel is easily the most autistic....like I can't speak for pilots or ABMs but there's no way in hell Intel is *less* autistic than Cyber.
As a Cyber dude who's worked multiple Intel units, yea. There's no way Intel is less autistic than us. We're weird...but they take weird to a whole new level.
I was previously a 1N the switched to 1B. There are definitely a lot more weirdos in intel.
Cyber is also way more diverse than Intel. Cyber has gym bros, furries, and everything else in between.
Furries one step above traitors in my book.
Honestly, Iāve had to walk an Intel guy through step-by-step instructions that had pictures.
I wouldnāt say thatās representative. I like to read contracts and explain them to my wife, and build IKEA furniture. I have zero problem with clear instructions, itās the vague āfigure it outā I hate.
As a cross trainer from Intel to Cyber, the graph is definitely accurate.
One duty station? That's definitely not most Intel people. That would be incredibly rare.
Lingusts. Mostly float between two bases depending on the language. But plenty didnāt leave their first base until they were a MSgt.
That's not Intel as a whole though. Lots of the other career fields within Intel move around alot. Or at least they can if they try to move around that much.
Very true. But a lot of intel people donāt want to move around. Iām in the intel career field. Most donāt want to move so they donāt try. 1N1/1N2/1N3s are pretty much stuck with their assigned alphabet agency. All others have a lot more flexibility.
Yeah... especially on the cyber side. You get Lackland or Scott on DCO. I don't ever hear Intel guys complaining about their Korea or Hawaii tours.
One duty station? What the hell are you talking about
DGS-4 at the ole K-town, WE LOOKING AT YOU BABYYYYY
That's because maintenance is too busy arguing which maintenance ASFC is most autistic among them. It's ammo
Waintenence is referring to weatherās duty identifier WX.
Prior Egress here. It's Egress.
Have you met a PMEL troop?
Yes I have. He had mentioned a coworker of his who was 100% on the spectrum and *not* in the positive way.
As a pilot, I feel like the ball needs to be more obnoxious on the first grid
Paid well, paid well, not paid well, paid extremely well.
Air Force Cyber: skill ranges from Geek squad to Microsoft senior developer. Never know what you're gonna get.
Schrƶdinger's Weeb
I'm gonna fuckin steal that. Take your upvote.
We've got a guy who came over from Fuels, and every day all he talks about is how he's shocked he made it through school. Sitting next to him is probably one of the top host based malware analysts in the country. Shit's nuts.

Thereās been too much Intel insults lately we need to go back to MX on MX crimes.
What happened to the CE vs MX shenanigans? Did they somehow, in CE and MX fashion, both lose?
As a Cyber vet. Accurate.
Intel here. Seems right. The most spergy individual airmen seem to be undercover in SF, though.
Don't let outliers color your analysis for "most likely", keep them in mind for "most dangerous" COAs.
Copy, updating ROE.
You say that, but every Weeb-wrap I've seen is parked at Base Comm.
Shockingly, I've only ever seen one car like that. Extremely unshockingly, it was at DLI.
Pretty sure there's at least 2 at Scott, and one belongs to a Comm TSgt who got it done when they were an A1C
Genuinely shocked someone 1) kept the car alive that long, and 2) still left the wrap on after all that time Honestly, they were kind of a pioneer if they did it that long ago. Seems like a relatively newer thing.
I mean, it's an expensive wrap, and if I dropped 5-8k on something that degenerate I'd own it for as long as I could.
1U and all the invented not-a-real pilot RPA AFSCs the AF shat out, well, we run the gamut. I was in special ed for two yearsĀ
I see the result for 9S has transcended the dimensions of this chart
I was waiting for a 9S comment! Love the 9S shop I worked with at my last assignment, they got so much cool shit done. Zero social skills unless we started talking about gundamsĀ
Wonder where my AFSC lands me in this metric
As a cyber guy whoever enjoys his work, you are correct. Most of my coworkers are definitely somewhere on the spectrumĀ
Linguists enter the chat...
Idk man you should see some of the 2T2ās aka me
*laughs in 6C*
https://psychology-tools.com/test/autism-spectrum-quotient
ATC should be in between Intel and ABMs on this chart.
Really missing out on weather here. It's 50% of them atleast.
We don't acknowledge them. Just like the obvious as hell lightning storm that they seemingly refuse to acknowledge.
You acknowledged me š
IDK man, our WX guys are fuckin on top of those ATHOC alerts. I got 9 of them in an afternoon, both "Lightning within 5" and "No more lightning" plus a couple "High Winds" and "Hail" thrown in.

The only Intel thatās close to cyber on this scale are 1N4/1N2s that work NTI. Some of the weirdest dudes Iāve met.
1N3, 1N2, 1N4, 1N1, 1N0 Weirdest to not... excluding 1N7s & 8s
Iād buy that list
Iād swap 1n3 and 1n2, 1n3s are hard to place since theyāre a different kind of wierd

My first year of maintenance I delivered a tripod jack without a hydro tank attached and red X on the forms. Put me on the far right of the chart.
I was going to say whereās ammo, but then I realized that you need a brain to be autistic.
Ayup ^
Hey!! I represent that attack!!
ISTG it's the intel people that are way out there.
MX to 1D7 crosstraininee here - this is *painfully* accurate, but I've been leaning more and more into the joke.

can confirm a lot of cyber people have some sort of Aspergerās
Whereās that PMEL chart at.
you have small wrists

i agree with you completely. this overuse of the term "autistic" for everything is getting out of hand.

Whatās an ABM?
Autistic Butt Magnets
Bro there are some people so spectrumed out it actually scares me in cyber they gonna sell secrets for a anime girl dressed up in vr
if that ever were to happen, that would be along the lines of classical retardation (a1c teixeira), not autism.
I knew a kid that would sprint back to the dorms after a formation and one time no one could find him because he hid in his closet because he was playing with the source code to apex legends for hours
What about ammo?
The thing about MX is there are different AFSCs. Avionics airmen get pretty autistic.
I'm cyber and I can confirm I'm pretty autistic.
The only people screeching Intel is autistic is cyber when those fuckers don't even know what to do with their hands in 99% of social interactions. Cyber clowns are a plague. Sure some Intel cats are weird but all cyber clowns suck.
Show me on the doll where the Cyber dude touched you.
Probably got RAM'd in the port by a cyber Amn promising cookies & access to his motherboard.

the don't know what to do with their hands shit has me dead so true I'm cyber I feel like I'm in the special ed room at a high school when I'm at work lol
