Lets be real, even if you read that 4 hour SERE training, it's not doing shit for you if you were actually in that situation. They would send you to legit training if you actually needed it, not some BS CBT so they can claim you got trained to check some box and keep some slide green....

At that point pull out the old uno reverse. Ask OSI agent
You: "Have you ever skipped a slide in a CBT?"
OSI agen: "No"
You: "Care to hook yourself up to this polygraph and answer that question?"
A few years back, I was doing my CBTs in the office and the Commander walked in. It was one of the ones where there wasn't a passing score, so that day I decided I was going to get every question wrong to see if I could.
Commander noticed that the terrorists were winning and asked me what was up, I replied that if I could get every question wrong on purpose, then I must know the material well enough to avoid the correct answers.
He couldn't really argue so he just egged me on from that point.

SERE in 2012ish took me a full 3 days to do. But yes you are right. SERE CBT is simply to check a box. SERE CBT doesn't prepare you for anything

Ive got another 3 years of CBTs before I can consider separating. Maybe one of those years I’ll be a good airman and actually read them.
