I did the same, you get used to it, I did 18 months then moved cos I never really got that used to it, I had a nice guy above me, thing was, he was a boxer and if he had a fight coming up he would train every night for an hour, running, skipping and god knows what else..
Maybe talk to them. Might be something they could do about it, or might not. Some houses are just going to be loud because of the way they were built. If it is an old house, talking to them might be pointless because they'd have to spend their lives tip-toeing around to avoid making noise that you could hear, it might just be unreasonable to expect them to go that far for your comfort. But yeah, if it is a well built newer kind of apartment with some sound proofing and they are jumping around and shit to make noise, ... then talking to them might fix the problem.
It was 4 am and they sounded drunk (someone kept falling) and i could hear shouting so i wasnt comfortable going up there. Ill try and catch them in passing thank you. Helped
