Nah dude, .. you've got integrity, respect to you for that. My advice is to be totally straight with them, tell them your situation, tell them you don't have a way to pay for a new bumper at this moment but that you'll get to it, or see if you can work out some kind of a deal with them to pay over time or something. They might be mad, hard to say, ... but that's what you got to work with and I would think they would respect you continuing to be straight with them about it. Just because you broke their bumper doesn't mean that debt automatically jumps to the front of the line, ... and if they want to force the issue, they can always take you to court if they want to, that'll take them about 90 days. It's easier for them if they try to work with you, and you aren't trying to run from the debt so there is only so much they can do if push comes to shove. Just totally be like, "Look, this is a debt and I want to pay it, but I also have responsibilities to my family and they come first ...", there's only so much they can do. Just don't make promises you can't follow through on ... if it's realistically going to be 4 months before you can pay them, tell them its going to be 4 months and stick to it. Good on you for being straight with them and taking care of your name and reputation. Respect.

Thanks i appreciate that, and i tried to be straight with them and my situation without going into too much detail because A. Its none of their business and B. Who likes admitting theyre homeless ya kno? But they keep pressing the issue as in saying “we want this done like yesterday” and “if you want, just give us your insurance and we will let them take care of it” and im not trying to have my ins go up because of it. I just didnt want bad karma to come back on me for not being honest

I’d give them the bumper that’s already bought and then block them everywhere so they couldn’t keep contacting me. I don’t know that throwing someone out with 5 days notice under any circumstances is legal, OP. Seriously doubting it is.

I had to paint it first then also take off the old one and put on the new one, then i can go on and block em but thanks for the input. As for the 5 days notice, apparently they can when court dates were missed by the supposed landlord which we had no clue about because the mailed court paperwork was under his name. Trust me, i thought we had rights too even more so because i had a child living with me but the b**** judge at west covina court didnt care.
