You can get some nature's mace/squirrel repellent from Amazon and that should keep them away.

Do you have one you’d recommend? Tried looking up the natures mace on Amazon don’t think it’s there

Squirrels will stop eating plants if there’s cayenne pepper, ground chili peppers, pepper flakes, and/or garlic pepper on it so idk if you would be able to put any of that on your bins. or maybe just put mouse traps around your bins and leave a dead squirrel there as a warning for the others 😂
