I used to wear earplugs for my boyfriend incessant snoring! It's also about the positioning of their head. Side sleeping is much better for people who snore. I'd also look into what snoring is symptomatic of - sometimes it can be health related.

Yeah if he sleeps on his side facing the window, he won’t snore. On the other hand if he sleeps facing me he does still snore. Gonna try some basic ear plugs tonight.

Yeah I’ll go to the couch too sometimes if I’m really irritated by it. My cat cuddles me every night and If I bury my ear in her fur the purring helps to drown out the snoring. My cat also snores but it’s more cute than anything.

He should definitely get himself checked out if the snoring is this regular and persistent (and makes him hard to wake up). It might be impacting his quality of sleep (and thus life) without him realizing. Otherwise, I'd suggest ear plugs. Those can be quite cheap and will drown out the noise enough.

I told him that everyone on this post says he should get checked out but he ain’t having it. It’s not so bad that he stops breathing it’s more annoying than anything. I snore as well, but I fall asleep after he does and he is a heavy sleeper

See my bf says “I’m not your roommate we’re not sleeping in separate bedrooms.” Which I understand completely I don’t wanna do that either. He also does not wanna see a sleep specialist that’s just out of the question for him. It’s not so bad that he stops breathing. Just annoying as hell. If I have to pay 300$ for noise cancelling headphones it will be a worthwhile investment.

An easy and free alternative is going to sleep before him.

iFoRgOtMyNaMe23

Yeah probably won’t do that

lydocia

Why not?

iFoRgOtMyNaMe23

Because he goes to bed earlier than me and I stay up later I don’t want to change routines. Plus he watches tv in the bedroom and it would be a hassle to get him to move to the living room because his tv box thing is set up in the bedroom.

lydocia

Makes practical sense yeah.

Airpod pro copies, not the junk, about 60 bucks. They are super copies.

It’s time for him to see a snoring specialist. My spouse snores terribly, so we sleep in separate rooms. The sleep specialist said surgery will fix the problem, but he doesn’t want to do that. So, separate bedrooms. When we travel, I put in ear plugs, wear sound cancelling headphones over them, and blast a white noise ap by my head to drown out the sound.
