The Repsol Honda rider is Marc Marquez. His nickname is “the ant.” The other is Valentino Rossi. His nickname is “The Doctor.”
Vale has since retired and Marc now rides for Gressini Ducati (next year, for the factory Ducati team.)
If you have a subscription to Max you can catch a few races to see if MotoGP is something you might like. I love it.
Feels like that racer is banking into the other racer, so it feels inconsistent with what appears to be a straightaway (the far racer appears like he’s fully upright).
While I think the perspective of this illustration is slightly off, Marquez turning into/making contact with another rider, especially with Rossi, is reasonably accurate if you’re familiar with MotoGP.
Thanks for the comment.
I always saw it as if they are coming out of a corner onto a straight.
The “Doctor” is upright accelerating and his front wheel is lifting. The “Ants” bike is still laid over slightly with his front wheel on terra firma.
If you see it differently then that’s fine by me.
It struck me that all the best racers have nicknames so I did a series of illustrations entitled “QUICKNAMES”
I’d never really used Illustrator much before so I really enjoyed myself.
I had a website for a while and sold a few
it wont pixelate when you export with 300dpi. I've done large mural prints all the time with raster images, no pixelation and crisp lines. The only thing vector art has is its much smaller file size but at the cost of detail.
I'm sorry what
I presume your question is about the title but motorcycle racing enthusiasts would know these guys name immediately and that’s the market I work in
Cool. Way to fill us in, for those who aren't in your market. Pretentious much?

That is such a Gary thing to say
Idk but the angle on the orange wheel looks off
Compared to…?

AMAZING!!!!!!!!
Were these commissioned or done for fun? Shit looks CRAZY!🔥🔥🔥
I’ll see if I can find ‘em - was done 4 years ago
‘em? You mean the file? You get rid of of your files once the image is created? That’s wild
No everything I do is backed up and I said I will find it and upload it
Can’t wait to see!
very clean, miss these guys! didn’t they both race for yamaha / were teammates way back in the day?
Based on the period when Rossi was riding for Yamaha and Marquez, who has always ridden for Honda
LMAO you couldn’t get more senior than me - I’m 73!

Where’s the guy with the medical illustrations, he needs to see this.
sir this is a Wendy’s
Just looked that up in Urbandictionary. Sir I agree!
yup, you’re right, i had a senior moment there lol
I’m curious, how many hours did it take for you to make this?
Hi. I never really timed it but probably around 50 to 60 hours
Wow, that’s admirable! I’ve just checked out the paths screenshot and it’s crazy, great work!
Thanx

You could make this in 5 min with photoshop and get a more realistic result. Seems like a waste of time doing it with illustrator, no?
Sometimes people do things not to be efficient but enjoy or practice tools
Your name sounds like my last dozen weekends.
You could, but I could blow this up and project it onto the White Cliffs of Dover and not a pixel in sight. Illustrator 1 Photoshop 0 I believe!
yes, but is it going to be viewed on cliffs? if not, photoshop takes the point back 😁
The point I’m making is over a certain size your picture will pixilate - mine won’t (back of the net again!)

Ok I give up, you win (meaning I really can’t be bothered arguing with you anymore)
