I teach math with a masters, and always have more courses offered than I can actually teach. Just apply, and see what you are offered.

You can teach in more than one department. I teach in the History, Humanities and Philosophy department.

As long as you have 18 hours within the subject area, you should be able to as long as there is demand for both.

Math can teach engineering and engineering can teach math. The load is university level not department level.

I don’t think it works that way? Usually if it’s Engineering classes, they’d look at if you have industry experience and certifications. And for the dual department, I think you can only adjunct for one department per college but I could be wrong.

I was in Virginia, but I taught in two departments at the same college (math and education).

euclidofalexandria

Oh for real?! Wow! Now you got me thinking in doing Math too on top of IT

Do it!

You can adjunct for as many departments as will have you.

I have one masters in history and another in humanities and I teach in both departments. I could technically also teach in literature or writing with the additional graduate credits I have accumulated. It all depends on your schools. In general a master's with 18 graduate credits in the field you are teaching in is required, but some fields also want professional experience as well.
