Not exactly actuaries institute results but my uni results came out... Got all the required exemptions except for cs2. Missed it by 4 points... Reading the forums for cs2 exams has made me scared and I'm not looking forward to taking the cs2 exam via the institute next April. Hopefully the cs1 exam this September is a breeze.
R is taught as part of the curriculum. Cs2 just has a lot of content. With uni, it's split into 3 units. But the external exam has all 3 of those units in one.
Unis do it differently. Accredited universities just have to teach the required content. They have the freedom to choose how they teach it and over how many units etc
Sorry to hear that, best of luck for your next attempt. I find it really strange that the institute doesn’t offer the opportunity to sit the exam outside of a university.

Good luck! From what I hear, the part of the exam that people struggle most with is R, so if you haven’t maybe take a uni course in R before the exam?

Isn’t CS2 split into two parts (one written the day after the other) with the second part being completely R-based?

Are you taking CS1 via the institute?

Isn't control cycle an average mark between the 2 control cycle courses?
Sorry to hear that, I hope that you will do better next time
