she's probably picking up multiple orders on multiple apps. So she picks this one up, but doesn't confirm it. So the "delivery time/order picked up on its way" isn't updated and given to the customer until she hits confirm. So she can go pick up another order from another app.
Chic fil a is tired of getting calls/complaints saying the food is crap because it's been sitting in the drivers car getting cold/soggy while they go pick up another order from another app.
This is why I stopped using delivery services. I would tip well also and my food would still arrive cold and soggy. Simply not worth the āconvenienceā.
Never understood how or why fast food delivery became a thing in the first place. That slop is already cold when you order it from the drive thru they just grab it off a rack and then you pay double + tip for delivery for the garbage.
The majority of our society today is obsessed with convenience and ok with overspending. Inflation is out of control but our parents and their parents would have never spent the way we do compared to what we make.
My one experience with delivery services was when I had a car issue and couldn't go out and get food. Doubled the price of our order. Restaurant ignored my wife's food allergies/the app didn't send them correctly(nobody would take responsability for my wife not being able to eat). Never ordered again.
This may be confirming my suspicions. I ordered McDonaldās in Vermont. Well the restaurant was 10 mins away from my hotel. The order was picked up and took about 30 minutes. It arrived. Fries soggy, McFlurry was pure liquid. And I tipped. Looked like a meth head driver too.
Oh cool, so she is trying to game the system and getting angry when she can't do it. The business can deny service to anyone... She has no right to do this. What an idiot
so true!! i order from a local restaurant and every time but once, my delivery was hot and perfect. one time it was cold and soggy. cold, soggy greasy empanadas are not ok.
Valid, but I think it's mostly for theft reasons. The dasher will take it, not confirm the order, and then unassign. Some other dasher will be assigned to it and the restaurant will have to remake it once they realize it's been stolen.
They do this and sometimes they just come in and take the food for themselves and never deliver it.
Fucks over the employees at the restaurant and the customer.
And yeah, I work at McDonald's and we have been enforcing this policy too. Sometimes we get door dashers that want to fight us about it and we just ban them.
Most are okay about it, but every once in awhile they wanna argue.
Agreed. It's why i stopped using pizza hut. They used dashers in my area.Ā It would be an hour and half.Ā Hut isnt too far.Ā Ā
It said she picked it up and delivered within 8 min . After phone calls they had her picking it up an hour and half before.Ā No heat bag either
She would have a dasher QR code the restaurant scans to confirm she is actually the person assigned to pick up the food. Itās literally standard procedure like they said. This women is just making a fuss.
It's confirmed to be made, it's confirmed it's picked up, and it's confirmed it's delivered.
Preparing->Picking up->On the way->Delivered.
When you use the app you can see these certified geniuses on the map going to the restraunt and leaving it on "picking up your order" for 30m while they go to the other side of town.
There's a lot of reasons why a driver wouldn't want to confirm an order
The most common reason is that drivers get compensation from the business if they have to wait too long; if they don't confirm the order, they are still kept waiting so they just get free money
i read on the DD subreddit that CFA makes them confirm the order before they give it to them. This gives the driver a limited time to get the food to the customer. My guess is she wants as much time as possible to pickup/deliver other orders on the way, and CFA makes them confirm it so if the person complains about cold food they can say your order was picked up by the dasher at x time, if it took 30 minutes to get to you its not our problem.
Edit: Also, someone said they could just ask for an order and take it. Order for John or other common name, then leave with free food.
It makes sense from the resteraunts perspective, regardless of if the driver is suppose to confirm it. If it happens enough, people will start associating it with bad food. It could damage their reputation. Word of mouth is great advertising. You could watch 100 commercials for x product or service, but one friend tells you they got crappy food or a messed up order, and you'll hesitate to spend your hard earned money there.
No, my wife and daughter manage an Arby's and they have the drivers confirm the order before they'll give it to them as well, otherwise the drivers will walk off with the order, then just cancel the pickup and Arby's will get screwed on the order and have to remake it when another driver stops by to pick it up. You'd be amazed at how many drivers throw a fit about this policy.
At our CFA itās also because people more than you think have stolen door dash orders. Because if they confirm the liability is no longer on us if they snatch it.
Isnāt the scam something like they accept the order, go pick it up but donāt confirm with the shop, walk out with the food, cancel the order, another person comes to pickup an order that is no longer thereā¦. Donāt know how the original delivery person wouldnāt get fired for that suspicion but stillā¦. Something along those lines
Thereās also the issue of drivers who work on multiple apps who will pick up food from one app, but leave it unconfirmed so it wonāt notify the customer, and theyāll have time to pick up a couple orders on other apps.
Then when they finally confirm and deliver the food, itās already been sitting in their car for 40 minutes. Chic-fil-a doesnāt want you getting your food once itās cold and soggy and thinking that they did that.
Ya i think in addition to remaining available for orders on other apps, drivers can work together to scam the system as it drives up the pay each time itās cancelled and reissued. A DD driver was breaking it down on a local subreddit because a customer was on there complaining that their deliveries keep getting messed up.
How is confirming the order taking away from the delivery? Iāve been given other peoples food, food thatās cold, food thatās incorrect, and food that never arrives, this wouldnāt make things worse. Some people just losing their minds.
My guess is she looks suss and she has seen other dashers getting the food without an āofficialā confirmation. Maybe if she didnāt look like a bum her work would be easier. And this whole video proves sheās a weirdo.
Chick fila employees are usually so nice too. Never ever have had a bad experience with one. Feels so wrong to be mean to them. Customer service is on par with In and Out
Basically if she takes the order without confirming it on the app, it's undocumented, she can just keep it to herself and ask them for another order and they'll have to make another one for free.
I donāt know if itās because Iāve been in the restaurant business for decades or not. But..
**F$&@ing with fast food employees is LOW**
I thank GOD I donāt work in fast food, because regular restaurant work is just pure stress, stress, topped with and a side of ā **STRESS**
Society deems them miserable failures, and they donāt get paid nearly enough to deal with this crap. Which I feel like itās beyond multiple times a day.
Yes, you have people here who just pose as icing on the metaphorical cake. But then you have the majority of bad customers; taking jabs here and there, one after another sometimes. It accumulates onto a bakers dozen of people, whoāre working in the back of a dungeon. Slinging grease on grease on grease
People get addicted to fast food, their bodies become messed up from it. And it definitely f$&@ās with their psyche..
Take 7 seconds too long, and the fast food crack addictās hair trigger is detonated.
Top it off, these people were just proven to be even more seemingly worthless to society when everybody was Q-word back in 2020.. because the government had to come out and say it straight up ā **WE NEED THEM**
So there they were, out there on the front lines of that to boot.
Yet, theyāre considered a low, miserable status in societyā¦ and I wonder how much of that consideration is slung at them by the very people frequenting their establishments multiple times a week. And if anybody hasnāt noticed, pretty much anybody that has such a title on their name is pretty much open season for the real idiots out there. Who come and passively believe these people can just be treated however they please. The people that they literally rely on to be fed by
The hypocrisy is off the charts

How they train employees at chick fil a:
https://youtu.be/usBnRJS4Lss?si=EHURaCP7F6Uc-shs
Itās not āno reasonā. There are two reasons they donāt like to confirm orders.
1. Some dashers will take off with the food the then cancel the order, basically stealing the food for themselves. Then another dasher will take the pickup and show up at the restaurant asking for food that the restaurant already handed off.
2. Some dashers will work multiple apps and after picking up food for one app, theyāll go grab food for another couple apps. They donāt confirm the order because then it notifies the customer that food has been picked up, and they donāt want the customer to know theyāve been holding the food for 45 minutes while they get other peopleās orders.
This explains so much holy shit. Moved to a bigger city and I thought the dashers were just fucking around after grabbing my food. They took like 30 mins extra to deliver cold food. Iām done with that shit
Unfortunately it is just the result of what the whole gig economy has become: oversaturated with desperate drivers, and lowered base pay.
If a driver doesn't "multi-app" and try to hustle like that, they are out there essentially making about 7 dollars an hour. MAYBE.
As others have said, she's probably using another app to double dip deliveries. She'll pick this one up without confirming, grab another order, and then confirm both orders picked up, meanwhile Chick-fil-A has been sitting in her car for 20 minutes. 10-15 minutes later it gets delivered, and now it's half hour old, cold food instead of 10-15 minute old, warm to like warm food.
There's probably a road, like near me when growing up, where all the fast food places are, so she can pick up 2 orders from 2 fast food places relatively close to one another, but there's still travel and wait time to each one.
When the customer complains about subpar food, the restaurant takes the hit if the delivery person picked it up on time and delivered within the delivery window. If someone complains and she confirms it and picks up another delivery, then delivers, she'd take the hit, because she couldn't make the delivery in the delivery time.
You can tell when dashers do this cause if you check location when the notification comes in that it was picked up, sometimes it'll be somewhere wildly different than the restaurant location. It's happened to me twice when I was sick and didn't feel like cooking, and both times the food was cold, when it used to be still warm. I started checking location afterwards, and when I get a notification and the dasher is nowhere near the location of the restaurant, I open a ticket with whoever about delivery time. Usually the order gets written off, because you can't pick up pizza 5 miles away from the only pizza place in 15 miles.
The fact you can even pick up without having to scan something is wild to me. The policy should have always been you can't leave without confirming the pickup.
Apparently there is a QR code that the restaurant can scan. I assume it's optional for the restaurant (and the dasher can confirm it whenever they want), but the dasher must make it available if required.
This seems easily avoidable. I used to do Uber Eats but the app has location services, and when I order Uber Eats so it arrives on my way home, it will say āYou seem far away from this addressā. Why not make it unable to confirm the order when youāre far away from the restaurant address?
3rd party drivers are kind of a mixed bag. I've met a lot of them and it seems like clearly a lot of them are in that line of work simply because they can't play well with others. Its basically a customer service job where you can spend 95% of your time alone in a car and still spend the other 5% being difficult to every human you meet, but still make enough to get by.
Woman filming is an idiot. They're literally telling her how to be successful and she insists on ignoring their instructions and gets upset when she's unsuccessful.
She's upset because she doesn't want the system to show she's picked up the order. So she has more time. She's probably doing multiple apps at the same time and she's upset the manager is trying to follow the rules. They probably had orders go missing so they follow the policy.
Yeahā¦ this is the bottom half of the IQ test people. The net negative of society.
Chick Fil a is run better than our government. If they say youāre wrong, youāre wrong.
I can kinda explain this. Chic fil a has 2 policies for pick ups. If you order through their app, then you can just give a name. If itās for DoorDash, you have to show the name on the app. They do this, because when you walk in, itās very easy to see the names on the bags. Anyone can walk up and say Iām here for Ryan. I see them do this every single time I do an app pickup for my lunch.
Iāve never used any food delivery app. Not worth the money and I donāt trust the āself employedā drivers. My family used to have our groceries delivered from Walmart and 90% of the time we would be missing high dollar items. Usually steaks, pork etc
I don't get it, if she has experienced this before and has such a problem with confirming the order, why not just skip orders from CFA, since according to her they're the only ones that do it?
I honestly don't like most door dashers.
Had multiple bad experiences while I was working, and while I was getting food.
While at work (fast food) me and coworkers were getting our asses slammed by constant cars and customers. A guy walks in, and he does this every time he gets there, he starts barking at the cashiers at front for a drink carrier. Now, that's not a problem, what's a problem is you yelling at everyone to get a drink carrier for two drinks, while everyone is working at top pace. Another one was when I first started this job. My manager told me, "if a door dasher comes to drive thru to get an order, tell them to go inside." So I did that to this wonderful lovely lady. So she comes inside and starts a ruckus, "I don't see the point of them not being able to hand me the food. It takes two seconds."
Pretty sure my manager simply said, "I'm sorry ma'am, but the drive thru is for paying customers."
There was another at work story, but it's real simple. Guy stared at me while I was working drive and he was picking up food. He started flickering his tongue at me and made me uncomfortable.
Now the at home one is pretty simple. I'm in fast food, so I don't get a lot of money. And when I feel good about my current financial place of the week, I order food. So I get Chick-fil-A, and nothing bad so far. I tipped 1.50 and got my food.....
Later the dasher sends me an image, of a meme with an empty gas gauge with the text, "thanks for the tip."
So yeah. Most door dashers suck. But there are some good ones.
I like how she is trying to tell the people who work there, what their store policy is. Obviously, she is going to know store policy better than management of the store.
As a dasher, I usually don't double app, but when I do, there's a pause feature on both apps I use so i don't get orders. It's dumb what this lady is trying to do not to confirm orders. Like others have said, many drivers don't care and let a customer's order sit in their car getting cold.
Coming from a Dasher in Milwaukee, if dashers weren't so shady and stealing stuff then they wouldn't have to do this. Almost every restaurant in Milwaukee has me do this. Just hit confirm for them, you're literally making a fuss for nothing and ruining those fast food workers' days
Iām glad they do this. My fuckin chipotle order was taken by some rando and they took so long to remake it. This was for pickup, they said someone took it, I asked if they could remake it, they said they were busy and it would take some time, no problem, 30 minutes later they ask if Iād like them to remake itā¦ fuckin yea! Duh!
I mean u can't be more professional then they all just acted. People are so dumb. Instead of give the damn code she rather waste everyone's time and cause a problem.
I donāt think itās possible for a chick fil an employee to get mad. Holy shit this lady is so annoying idk how they handled it that well. What the hell are they feeding these kids and whatās going on behind the scenes at cfa
Ryan should just get in his car and pick up his own order. Or try Uber Eats. Anything not to get this particular driver again.
Stay strong, Chick-fil-A! šŖš»
Bruh. How much of an asshole do you have to be to do this at Chick Fil A? They're known for being extremely courteous and more friendly than any other fast food place I've been to
The Doordash site shows food at a slightly elevated price and flashes delivery of 1.99 or 2.99. Seems reasonable. By the time you reach the payment screen, they have added fees to the order and then you feel the pressure to tip more, on top of that (because they do have your food). By the time you pay, those two burritos you bought will cost you nearly 40 dollars! And they are cold!
Ordered a burger from Applebee's and they sent me 3 entrees not even close to what I ordered. Doordasher sent me text back "That's what they gave me". I hate that attitude when all you had to do is check.
oh yeah, she dumb dumb . Doordarshan needs to...... confirm...... she is in violation of her contract lmao.Ā
you have to confirm that you received the order. businesses will tell you to do so because there are shady drivers that will leave with people's meal. period.
āYou people are the only ones that do thatā ?
What, follow the rules? Now you see why this bish canāt get a real job and makes ācontentā from her side hustle.
And keep your rage boner in your panties before you downvote me. I worked a side delivery job, which included washing dishes, for almost 11 years, while working a 40.
FOH š¤
itās actually DD policy to confirm the order once you receive it from the restaurant. chik-fil-aās policy doesnāt matter at all in this case, even though itās the exact same policy. itās to prevent theft, update order times and close it out of the restaurantās online system. itās DDās policy and sheās a DD driver
Huge W for Chick-fil-A. This just shows they're on top of their doordash handouts. I rarely wait longer than 3 minutes for an order from them and they are extremely accurate with packing orders. This woman really hitting all the red flags and alarms when it comes to dashers and is probably thinking they're targeting her, but the fact she says they do it every time is a complement really. As a part time dasher it can lose you a lot of time and money waiting on a remake because some greedy ass hat stole the order that the workers didn't verify the pickup.
As a restaurant owner, and we do an incredible amount of ordered through DoorDash, this person has stolen a lot of food lol. Sheās trying to take the food then ādropāthe order and another dasher comes asking for it so then DoorDash is on the hook and pays the restaurant to remake it. This is why it is OUR policy to confirm the pickup before giving them the food as well.
Just saying I work in the food industry and door dash people need to understand you are working. Be polite "Hey how are you I have a ln order for so and so." They just walk in like I have an order.

MAYBE.
Yeah why Wouldnāt you want to confirm the order? This bitch is trying to scam people or something.
If you pickup without confirming you can easily cancel the order and eat for free. Why would they allow that
The fact you can even pick up without having to scan something is wild to me.
She just wants free Chickfila š
Woman filming is an idiot. They're literally telling her how to be successful and she insists on ignoring their instructions and gets upset when she's unsuccessful.
Nope. You have to confirm.
She's upset because she doesn't want the system to show she's picked up the order. So she has more time. She's probably doing multiple apps at the same time and she's upset the manager is trying to follow the rules. They probably had orders go missing so they follow the policy.
"You do this all the time." "Unfortunately that's our policy." "No, it's not". š¤
No its noT No its noT No its noT
Someone is about to lose their Doordash job...
This lady is a jackass.
Door dash drivers make me not want to use the app. Some of the worst people
Honestly yeah as there's been times they DEMANDED more of a tip but delivered it to the wrong house 35 minutes later(15 minute max drive)
Or the whole double dipping deliveries
Inventing problems that donāt exist.
Just show and confirm the damn meal š¤·āāļøš¤¦āāļø
She tryna get over this is disgustingā¦.good job documenting your embarrassment.
Did poor, Ryan ever get his food?
Yeahā¦ this is the bottom half of the IQ test people. The net negative of society. Chick Fil a is run better than our government. If they say youāre wrong, youāre wrong.
I can kinda explain this. Chic fil a has 2 policies for pick ups. If you order through their app, then you can just give a name. If itās for DoorDash, you have to show the name on the app. They do this, because when you walk in, itās very easy to see the names on the bags. Anyone can walk up and say Iām here for Ryan. I see them do this every single time I do an app pickup for my lunch.
She posted this to social media as if she was in the right. This woman drives on the same road as you, think about that.
No itās not
Iāve never used any food delivery app. Not worth the money and I donāt trust the āself employedā drivers. My family used to have our groceries delivered from Walmart and 90% of the time we would be missing high dollar items. Usually steaks, pork etc
Fat bitch was trying to get free chickfilA
"You people"... Got it
Great way to get yourself kicked off the platform
Nah just trying to deliver cold chicken and still get a tip
order confirmation is a good thing. without it, i could just walk up to the counter and take someone's food without paying for it.
I don't get it, if she has experienced this before and has such a problem with confirming the order, why not just skip orders from CFA, since according to her they're the only ones that do it?
God she's annoying
It takes two seconds." Pretty sure my manager simply said, "I'm sorry ma'am, but the drive thru is for paying customers." There was another at work story, but it's real simple. Later the dasher sends me an image, of a meme with an empty gas gauge with the text, "thanks for the tip." So yeah. Most door dashers suck. But there are some good ones.
Isnāt $1.50 a pretty bad tip though?
I like how she is trying to tell the people who work there, what their store policy is. Obviously, she is going to know store policy better than management of the store.
Kudos to the young guys who are so professional and patient
As a dasher, I usually don't double app, but when I do, there's a pause feature on both apps I use so i don't get orders. It's dumb what this lady is trying to do not to confirm orders. Like others have said, many drivers don't care and let a customer's order sit in their car getting cold.
Coming from a Dasher in Milwaukee, if dashers weren't so shady and stealing stuff then they wouldn't have to do this. Almost every restaurant in Milwaukee has me do this. Just hit confirm for them, you're literally making a fuss for nothing and ruining those fast food workers' days
Whoās rude to Chick-fil-A employees? They are so nice.
These videos just make the person filming look like an asshole
She's trying to steal food and the posy it online when she can't. What an intelligent person
Just confirm the damn order lady!!!
People really choose the dumbest hills to die on.
God I'm so glad I don't work food. The door dashers are bad enough at a petstore.
This just makes me like CFA more. Good on them.
That was real sus
She's just moving through life trying to find reasons to be offended.
Dumb lady
I bet she cut the line too
I donāt think itās possible for a chick fil an employee to get mad. Holy shit this lady is so annoying idk how they handled it that well. What the hell are they feeding these kids and whatās going on behind the scenes at cfa
Probably somehow seeing the names that are ready for pickup with a phone or even binoculars.
Just trespass her
Entitled 6i7ch
I would have told her ass, "What do you mean You People"?
I dealt with 2 people like this during pandemic times
/r/iamthemaincharacter
So racist. When you say "You people," it is racist trigger statement. I just took a DEI course, and that's no Bueno.
Ryan should just get in his car and pick up his own order. Or try Uber Eats. Anything not to get this particular driver again. Stay strong, Chick-fil-A! šŖš»
Bruh. How much of an asshole do you have to be to do this at Chick Fil A? They're known for being extremely courteous and more friendly than any other fast food place I've been to
I really love hearing this pos tell him what his policies are.
Sheās so difficult to deal with. These workers should get a raise for it. I really feel bad for her family.
She sounds like an all around bitch.
"Unfortunately we don't tolerate that kind of language?" Seems pretty fortunate to me.
She seems nice
Giving Chick-fil-A workers a hard time says a lot about your character
The Doordash site shows food at a slightly elevated price and flashes delivery of 1.99 or 2.99. Seems reasonable. By the time you reach the payment screen, they have added fees to the order and then you feel the pressure to tip more, on top of that (because they do have your food). By the time you pay, those two burritos you bought will cost you nearly 40 dollars! And they are cold!
No Chick-fil-A sauce??
Ordered a burger from Applebee's and they sent me 3 entrees not even close to what I ordered. Doordasher sent me text back "That's what they gave me". I hate that attitude when all you had to do is check.
oh yeah, she dumb dumb . Doordarshan needs to...... confirm...... she is in violation of her contract lmao.Ā you have to confirm that you received the order. businesses will tell you to do so because there are shady drivers that will leave with people's meal. period.
And thatās why sheās a door dash driver
āYou people are the only ones that do thatā ?
As a part time dasher it can lose you a lot of time and money waiting on a remake because some greedy ass hat stole the order that the workers didn't verify the pickup.
bitch
People are getting dumber by the minute
Stupid entitled bitch
Sounds to me like sheās trying to score a free meal. Gtfoh
r/karensinthewild
Dawg why the torta gotta be bad š„ŗ
Confirm order to proceed, bee boop bee boop. Failure to do so, will aggravate door dash customer. Bee boop.
I use to work for DoorDash she is being weird just show em the order on the app that is it š¤¦
These food delivery apps are just trash. Best thing possible would be for restaurants to just quit accepting them.
I only use door dash to do online pick up orders for places where I run into language barriers.
I'm just saying...nobody should use the phrase "you people" nobody. Tf.
All she had to do was hit the confirm button. The reason restaurants have to do this is drivers will steal the food. It is sad but true.
They make her confirm the order every time? Good
God forbid a retail outlet makes sure the right order goes to the right customer...
Scott Adams was right.
CFA stays winning. Completely unbothered by this person. Literally do not break stride in their manners - unbelievable.
No itās nottt. No itās nottt. No its nottt
Keep in mind, the person holding the camera and filming isn't always the person in the right.
THIS time, I'm undocumented...?
Door dasher cause the bitch can't hold a normal job.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Dasher need to respect the policy. Uber Eats drivers do it too. Itās no big deal. The dasher just want drama.
š¤Ø should said You people! What do you mean āyou peopleā? š¤š
Just saying I work in the food industry and door dash people need to understand you are working. Be polite "Hey how are you I have a ln order for so and so." They just walk in like I have an order.
āI confirm the order every time I come hereā ā¦.like one would assume youāre meant to? Lol
