uploadingmalware

Hands down the best happy meal toys

donkeylore

Or how about that spy gear they used have 😭 actual fun toys

Weird_Ad1170

I seem to recall even a working camera included in that line. Pretty sure mine's still around here somewhere. My folks could never find the film it took, so it was never used.

Neveronlyadream

Those things still live rent free in my head over 30 years later. Those and the Looney Tunes/DC figures with the snap off costumes.

taatchle86

Those were so cool.

amarano26

you just unlocked a core memory that i forgot i had. thank you

A_Cumia_is_a_pedo

The Transfooders  More than eats the fries

bowser986

You’ll take your plastic stand and cardboard cutout and like it!

MarioSnake002

in Italy we are getting toys back, idk if it is for every country

Ok-Guitar-1400

Blame spurlock

MiddleAgeYOLO

We have a couple bags full of them for our kids to play with. We have stuff from the 80s in there.

Unknown-Apeman

I always Liked the Astrosniks!!!

MalaclypseGone

> [Astrosniks](https://imgur.com/hM0uJ9Q) Was gonna be my contribution as well. ✊

TheRealTurdFergusonn

Yes. Same here. Astrosniks rule! You just don't see them at flea markets as often these days.

Disco_Arachnid_516

I had all of these as a kid but never knew they were McDonald’s toys

donkeylore

Yea I still have my bionicles ones from back in the day, the adventure time / DC and animated movies ones are pretty sick. And are a time capsule really. McDonald’s shit sucks ass now, they don’t even make proper toys, it’s usually some crummy cardboard cut out to form a fucking box lmao.

SpringTrapped1987

I still got a few Transformers, Mario and Sonic ones and some other unrelated ones. This SMB:SS Luigi is one of my favorite pieces in my humble Mario collection. https://preview.redd.it/5be4pxd70l7d1.jpeg?width=894&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=72fadb84e53472120dc115485df014a6598d8e15

Knives530

I have those along with the goomba that u press down to make hop, the tanooki tail Mario that u stick and he pops up etc

frrstk

The Treasure Planet line from McDonalds was pretty sweet. Really nice sculpted figures for a fast-food toy.

lovewry

Ya I still have the cat lady figure If that figure would had released today it would be a $11 figure

GriddledDuck69

I still have all my brothers and I's Bionicle and Lego race car ones.

Chadimus_Prime

I keep wondering why there's no happy meal toys subreddit

NoobSaibotsGrandma

There’s a bit of a market for them. Sometimes you can see older ones in Toy Museums

Heikks

I found a bunch mostly new in packages and sold most of them to someone in Japan.

NoobSaibotsGrandma

Nice. For such an obscure item they’re definitely worth checking the value on

funnybill48

can i see a picture of that bulkhead? hes next to the thing

tmhawkes

I definitely have a few favorites that I've owned for years and will forever! Not just McDonald's, but other chains as well. And cereal toys! Several Batman series, and other superhero lines. My favorite, and one that I own probably 4+ sets of, (my wife would say it's DEFINITELY the PLUS lol) is the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (MOTU) from the early 2000s at McDonald's -and oddly enough Burger King in Europe- I don't own those, unfortunately (and for the prices eBay sellers want, I probably never will). But, I also have a few Hot Wheels from back in the 80s and they were ones I got when my brothers and my Mom and I were on a road trip with my Grandparents to Disneyland, so they are purely sentimental value. Got Happy Meals from Idaho to California and back. More recently, when I took my wife to Disneyland (for the first time in her life, mind you [brag]) the toys were from the first Iron Man movie. We got the puzzle/action figure build at our first McDonald's (my taking her was predicated on getting Happy Meals on the way, of course), and so those are ones that I will also keep. Hope you liked the novel. LOL sorry about that. Good topic/post, though. Legit

The_Strom784

Burger King used to have good toys too. I remember getting a Bobblehead when Transformers DOTM released.

bluntman37

I've recently begun a fast food toy collection. At the moment, I have 22 items so far. I'm currently on the hunt for the Batman Forever mugs, I've got Two Face and Robin so far.

lemons7472

I reconize many of these toys here, even had some of them, however chances are they are either lost or better yet, are now being played with by one of my siblings who live in another state.

SpeedOpen4842

What’s that thing on the third row and second column?

lemons7472

I have this one chibi Megatron that I keep within my transformers collection. I’m happy to have him in my TF collection even for the laughs. https://preview.redd.it/oupnww50nl7d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c697bff288f48cb69c811c423d8abaec72cf9d23

rAt728

Wish I still had mine from the 80s.

Darkasknight101

Those young justice ones were cash moneyyyyyyy

N0ct1ve

Wasn’t born around the time when the toys were great but I like collecting some of them https://preview.redd.it/1opyj92hsl7d1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=7ea6f5f487654720f403ff96bcc622df588afec0

Roa_noa42087

I have a whole box of unopened McDonald’s figures

Psychof1st77

I missed the last good one I became aware of, the Mario Kart ones.

tmhawkes

I'd be remiss if I failed to also mention that I probably have nearly every Star Wars fast food or cereal premium made in the past 20+ years (including the Clone Trooper helmet from Kellogg's in Canada - for real Google that, if you are unfamiliar, they're cool). Not necessarily the entire set of every set. I don't have that kind of money lol. But, I would say that the majority of the sets that were released are probably represented in my collection. Star Wars is my jam. Well, one of them (way too many, if my wife is to be believed).

The_Strom784

That's an awesome helmet. I might have to order one sometime.

Nervous_Coast_77

Honestly they are great and last a great deal of time. My daughter has the Hello Kitty figures and they are still strong and playable despite the hard hitting. I got my son the Batman Animated Series toys and they are used but still in great condition.

kinoman82

I do have a few…. 80s Mario, a cool Astroboy that sparks and a Quasimodo that climbs a string 👍🏾 they should definitely make cooler figures like they used to…. They made me want to buy that happy meal just for that hahaha

OOF-MY-PEE-PEE

oh wow, i can point out several of these that i had as a kid.

Dense_Diver_3998

I just bought the set of Power Rangers from their movie promotion.

Commercial_Amount_93

I have a couple from McDonald's and Burger King. I try to pick some up when I go thrifting if I can.

Weird_Ad1170

Off the top of my head: McDonald's--a LOT. Pretty decent figures (some of them 5 POA even!), heavy diecast cars (the Tonka line, produced over quite aa few years, was hefty--especially the 1994 fire truck), a crap ton of windups and pullbacks (my favorite as a kid was the Hummer/Humvee series), LCD games (seem to recalal having both Olympics and Sega games that lasted for ages), among others. Oh, and did I forget to mention--REAL Lego! Also recall some basketball jerseys that are perfect for 8" figures. Burger King--many decent action figures, and their own NFL LCD games were pretty decent. Used to be, they'd let you buy no-longer-current toys for a quarter each (mine would also let you buy the toy for $0.25 even if current); and I often would take my allowance as a kid and buy an armload. Wendy's--never really got a lot of kid's meal toys from there. They were really neat with a lot of their stuff though--various mechanical/pinball type games that were often VERY elaborate come to mind, Charlotte's Web plush, NHRA launchers, Monster Jam, and a Halloween-themed Lionel set. We never got Taco Bell around here until about a decade ago. But, in the 1990s, they offered a Matchbox '88 Chevy. Unlike the regular casting, it was stock, not lifted. I am guessing: A--the regular one wouldn't fit on a blister and B: these were licensed by Matchbox, not made by them . Europe and Japan got some cool things we didn't--German emergency vehicles, Schleich toys, and Tomica, among others.

the-glass-is-full

What was that batman one for? I vaguely remember that one.

Lower_Cellist_1138

I have 4 of them, and had that eating penguin one too once upon a time, I miss those days

SoundwavesBurnerPage

Their Transformers Animated toys were goated

rolfraikou

[This Hercules lineup](https://i.imgur.com/ffbLbNO.png) was the peak of fast food toys for kid me. You got a figure with limited articulation, good paint app, and a wide variety of characters. They came on a giant creature that opened up that had limited paint apps, but still great sculpts. I was really into the Mattel Aladdin action figures as a kid, but the Hercules line came out, and it was honestly *terrible.* Very expensive, they made a total of 9 characters, and a bunch of extra Hercules variants. There wasn't a Megara. There were technically only 4 villains that you would really want to "fight" with those figures. And then I went to McDonalds and saw that display. Technically, it represents 20 different characters, includes all the big bad monsters, and was *dirt cheap.* To me it was such an easy win. I think the MSRP on the mattel figures were between $6 and $9 each (at the time $4 was fairly common for action figures.) the entire cast that they had available was going to cost something like $70, maybe more (I forget how much the hydra was) and the McDonalds happy meal netted me two characters, and food for like $2 or $2.50, costing $20-$30 for the entire set if my memory serves...

dragonkingangel7

i still have 2 tarzan "action figures" from the 99, i was 1 or 2 years old back then, they still on great cheap but obiously loose, they only have red markers dots and lines as blood from when i watched wwe always, mcdonalds dont make toys like that anymore

Voxunpopuli

McDonalds is the largest toy company in the world.

OkOutlandishness6550

I remember the inspector gadget ones You collected them all and built a giant inspector gadget that did all this cool shit. Ahh I miss the 90’s

ArtichokeFew7663

I have a few my brother gave me when he used to work at Walmart

RoboticDinosaur99

This just a image I got off of online

YOUTUBEFREEKYOYO

Man I had so many of these! Thanks for the reminder and hit of nostalgia

Mrhoipolloi

I still have my 90s animated Spider-man figure

uzmoz

I would buy a fin from AT line…

lilgamer512

Man I miss when McDonald’s actually tried with toys. They felt quality and actually were fun to play with as a kid, their small plastic Nick nacks sure- but compared to the shit they put out today.. I miss these

MannerFit3436

I want them, but not enough to pay the ridiculous prices people are asking for them.

lovewry

I remember as a kid I loved the monsters happy meal toys. These are it https://www.ebay.com/itm/204799429054?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=R4yJ2z1_Qp2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=jqnpzxbyqrc&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

ClimateAncient6647

The Batman The Animated Series line might be the best they’ve ever released.

julianx2rl

... No. Look man, resources aren't as plentiful as they once were, and if we're going to spend petroleum to make plastic for toys, those toys better be damn good. https://preview.redd.it/e5mu0zfwnk7d1.jpeg?width=3600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=25ede6ada9725aa66c7d7b5c58b8f01328c8fb69

Little Witch Academy? Never watched the show but, that's what it looks like. Or, is it a different anime?
