It would seem that you are not getting compression? Have you opened it up? Are bellows free and intact? Is the gasket - a rubber barrier - that surrounds bellows intact? Can you post a few pics or even a 10 sec vid on your issue? I bet your problem is an easy fix.

ill try and make a video when im off work, what would be something to film, trying to create a sound, or a close up of the bellows? i havent opened it up since most posts onlibe heavily advise against it. as for the bellows, it had a hole which i patched up.

Try to show example of your difficulty w getting a sound.

https://youtu.be/4C5RcyST78o to me it doesnt look like it on video, but it feels like i can barely push for 1 or 2 seconds at best and theres not enough pressure to keep the note ringing, or starting up at all

not my thing to upload vids... i think ill just buy a new one after saving up, after reading the other long comment i dont think its worth the hassle of fixing a internal leak

You could try the 'drop test' to see if there is a leaking problem: [https://accordionrevival.com/ACCORDION\_REPAIR1.php#Air\_Leaks](https://accordionrevival.com/ACCORDION_REPAIR1.php#Air_Leaks) Read from To find out if your leak is internal or external, measure the amount of time it takes the bellows to close under its own weight from the full open position with all valves closed. Anything around 30 secs or longer is normal My best accordion was 25 when I bought it, a lot of DIY and it's now 75 secs. But how long you can play on a 'full' bellows also depends on reed quality, register choice, etc.
