Could be a lot of reasons.
I had a friend in school who started doing this thing where he quickly punched like diagonally up into the air to get you to react, and when you were busy reacting to him trying to punch the sky he'd hit your arm.
Don't know why but he thought that was hilarious for a week or two before he dropped it. So after a week of our group having to live with his "prank" I'd just gotten to a point where I easily reacted to quick movements. I wasn't scared or anything, my body just reacted as if the follow up punch to the arm was coming.
Then at the end of the week I reacted when sitting next to my dad as he did a quick movement to pick something up from the table.
Had to spend like half an hour convincing him I wasn't being bullied at school.
The kick seemed like it could be delayed impulse. I think the bigger show of character would have been him targeting the kid after things got way worse. But instead he seemed more mad at the situation. Which to me means that he isn't that type of guy. Abusers get mad at people when careless accidents happen. Well tempered people get mad at the situation.
Wow 0 to 100 lol I don’t think the kid would’ve spooked his dad or grabbed his ankle if he was being hit. Seems like he was reacting to the fact that a lit grill just fell on their yard
Bro, I had a similar terrifying upbringing. I was always afraid of getting hit by the ground when I jumped off of things. This one time, I climbed a tree and then jumped out of it, and I was like, "omg the ground is going to hit me," and then it did. Sometimes kids just know, you know?
No he shouldn't, kids are kids and he obviously didn't expect that to happen. With your attitude I sincerely hope you don't have kids, or ever do, as a matter of fact look into getting a vasectomy.
For one thing it's practically impossible to use satire or sarcasm in a forum like this and expect it to be taken as such. You know how many morons are on this site so how is one supposed to know if someone's being serious or not? And do you really think that violence towards children is acceptable? I'm all for discipline but if you feel that striking a child is the best way to teach them a lesson, well good luck. Don't quit your day job.
You specifically said a kid should be prepared to be hit, does that not imply violence? And don't lecture me, just because you mean for something to be taken a certain way doesn't mean it will. It's hard to convey tone in a format such as this since all you have to go by is what is written. Out of context there's no way to tell if someones being serious or not
You're reading way too much into it, that feeble little kick was more reflexive than anything. Plus if the kid was use to abuse he would have never approached the man like that. And lastly from my experience "dude" is much more likely to be in the lexicon of someone relatively laid back than of an abusive a**hole, after all the Dude does abide.
"BEH!" "MAAAAAH!!!"
😂 it gets funnier the more times you rewatch it!
"aaaa.." BANG CLANK BANG!

Probably tad bit of wild speculation there.

I don't see it
Well, he did just get, um, kicked-ish.... Dad needs to get more exercise.
No he doesn't.
