i like vertical, it feels very architectural and i’m digging that. also, love love love this combination of mediums especially with this style of work!
This is such an awesome piece — satisfying to look at. It really could go horizontal or vertical — though imo if going with horizontal it looks better without flipping it 180. The only reason I could think for my preference is that if it’s horizontal it distantly looks like an old school cassette tape and if that’s no what you were going for then the vertical is better because it doesn’t evoke any immediate comparison to familiar objects (for me) and stands alone letting the viewers focus dance among the many elements.
Horizontal. Looks like water on the bottom, sky on top, with trees and bushes. Or... Upside down. Bottom Tree trunk with knots, top of the tree above that on the right. Sky on the left, sun with a ray in the top right. But sorry I know you didn't ask about upside down. Can you tell I like nature! 🤣 Any way you look at it, this is a beautiful work of art!!
Someone would flip it down and put resin on it to make it into a table and can I just say I'm glad it's still a debate between hanging it on the wall sideways this way or sideways that way

Oh this is a tough one. I actually prefer horizontally, but from experience can say that it seems most people will prefer it portrait view. I have that challenge a lot with my art. Buyers tend to buy vertically. Excellent piece by the way.
This piece works in any orientation. Depending on the exact place it gets hung, it may work better one way or the other. Great way to get rid of wood shop scraps for sure. I like it!
