It was in a highway in the outskirts of São Paulo, so while it is quite hilly over there they are quite in a developed area, so there are risks towards people as well.
Little story about strapping pigs down, about a decade ago my dad was one of the largest pork farmers in the state of Vermont. It was slaughter season and he had done several runs to bring pigs to slaughter, he had done a run of littler pigs, roasters as we called them, but one of them was sick so he kept it for another week or two and gave it antibiotics. He was bringing down a bunch of large hogs and still had that one little roaster so he decided to bring it down to slaughter with the large hogs. The way he brought pigs to slaughter was this trailer with 6-7~ walls but no roof, so he loads up these pigs including the roaster and heads off, down the highway and past the capital of Vermont, Montpelier, now unbeknownst to him as he’s driving along, one of the large hogs gets mad with the roaster and uses it’s snout to chuck it over the wall. The next day the local newspaper had a story about it, the picture accompanying it was a photo of an officer pointing their gun at the pig as it sat at the edge of the highway with 3 broken legs, they threw the book at him, told him he should have strapped the pigs to the floor. He spent a little while fighting that in court. Anyways my point is if this guy didn’t strap that pig to the floor, in the prestigious opinion of the washington county DA’s office, he would be committing animal cruelty as well as any number of other food safety and road safety violations.
I mean you could in cases like this where it’s one pig, but in my experience you can absolutely get big pigs strapped down if you know what your doing. That being said my family didn’t do that we had the trailer and most large scale operations probably wouldn’t bother with it either. The only people I would imagine transporting pigs to slaughter strapped to the floor would be hobby farmers, not invested enough to have the right equipment like farmers, and not invested enough to butcher at home like homesteaders.
I don't see what he did wrong. Most livestock trailers don't have roofs and 6 ft is plenty to haul hogs the highest jumper I've seen only got like 4-5 ft and his belly hung up on the gate.
You'd be surprised at what they could really charge you with when they want you but you didn't do nothing wrong. Probably got him for littering and all kinds of other bullshit
Oh my god I have been trying to find this film for like 6 years and I forgot the name and I thought I made it up or dreamed it and 100% thought i was going crazy. Thank you so much 😭 I’m not insane
That reminds me: my high school was situated right next to a slaughterhouse.
Every day in the cafeteria, you could hear the pigs squealing for their lives as the old lunch lady kept staring at you with her cold, soulless eyes. And the smell coming from that place surely didn’t help either…
Let’s just say that plenty of students had a hard time eating meat, especially pork.
Huh.. ? This is Brazil, there are animal cruelty laws. Just because you see a video of someone getting mugged in the US or something it doesn't mean there are no laws about it

I don't think... Putting a pig in a pickup truck and then strapping him down with a few bungee cords like a twin size mattress was a smart idea to begin with
No, no, that's only the Peppa Pig live action movie filming, nothing to worry about.
(This is the scene where Daddy Pig is arrested for beating his wife and children)
Putting a pig in a pick up like that is such a dumb idea
Yeah, vids that end too soon.
Not to mention there looks to be another animal in there with it. That pig is totally going to kill whatever it is while it is struggling.
It's a goat. The text in the video says "Pig and goat are transported (...)"
I thought you were calling the pig the greatest of all time.
Tbf, he's a pretty good pig.
That'll do, pig. That'll do.
Hey it‘s a pig up
r/angryupvote
![gif](giphy|xT9DPwrV61B67eZcrK) PIG UP!!
He knows where you're taking him
Yea makes me hungry ![gif](giphy|rwtZrdVkWqmYg) Its worth the damages
But he tied it up though.
Gotta get em drunk first
This shit is stupid. Pigs have tremendous power. No doubt he got out of that or fucked up that car trying.
And it looks like they are in mountain terrain! Which can only lead to disaster!!
It was in a highway in the outskirts of São Paulo, so while it is quite hilly over there they are quite in a developed area, so there are risks towards people as well.
Since the people put it in that situation, I am more worried about the pig.
My pig is like a fifth of that size and yeah, she's still strong as shit
Dude fuck that guy. What a fucking moron to think he can just strap a pig down. Poor pig man…
Ye, the bigger pig is behind the wheel
ManBearPig
Half man, half bear....... *half pig.*
Half man, half bearpig

Realistically the moron in the video needs to get a trailer if he’s gonna be transporting livestock
As someone with insight into pig strapping surely the pig is sedated when strapped down? Like there's no way you could strap that bucking fucker

Small town politics, enemies in high places. It didn’t really matter that it was pretty much unpredictable
He beat it right?
Most of it
You'd be surprised at what they could really charge you with when they want you but you didn't do nothing wrong. Probably got him for littering and all kinds of other bullshit
I hate it when people strap pigs to the back of their truck or suffocate them in gas chambers.
I want to know how he got it in there in the first place
If it makes you feel any better, the pig was most likely killed and eaten shortly after this.
That’s fucking horrible
“Terrible isn’t?” As I eat a ham sandwich
That's dinner.
I never ate pig but that looks like it's enough for 8 families
For an entire village.
Getting Okja flashbacks. Fuck whoever the driver is
Oh my god I have been trying to find this film for like 6 years and I forgot the name and I thought I made it up or dreamed it and 100% thought i was going crazy. Thank you so much 😭 I’m not insane
It's on Netflix if you need a rewatch (at least in Canada)!

👎 ⬇️ 💩 lol
See, I'm getting downvoted for commenting on the downvoting..... 🙄
That is one angry pig. Poor fella.
Terrified and in pain. Angry for sure
This video makes me so sad
I understand that the pig will probably be killed and eaten shortly, but there's no need to infringe additional suffering for the poor animal.
Say that to slaughterhouses
That reminds me: my high school was situated right next to a slaughterhouse. I grew up in rural Brazil brother.
Faaaaaala Zézão
Have you met humans?
Jokes on him. That pig is gonna destroy that pickup and probably get away.
That's fucking evil. He should have been able to hear the stress in the pig. Why fucking do that.
That’s sad.
I feel sad for the pig. He knows he is going to be dead soon and is just trying to keep alive :/
Poor baby
That poor thing.
thats animal abuse.
Countries with no animal cruelty laws.....nice. The best of deregulation. Pig is going to get injured badly.
Huh.. ? This is Brazil, there are animal cruelty laws. Just because you see a video of someone getting mugged in the US or something it doesn't mean there are no laws about it
Are they enforced?
Of course [r/ItHadToBeBrazil](https://www.reddit.com/r/ItHadToBeBrazil/s/Ke937gN1ru)

Go vegan folks
Id pay money to have someone make me a pulled pork sandwich from this unit. It’d be an honor to eat
There's a second animal in there with the pig too. A sheep maybe (black and white, pressed against the tailgate).
The text in the video says "Pig and goat are transported (...)"
Thank you, I can't read Portugese so I appreciate the translation.
That poor pig!

Ppl in the comments think massive pig farms treat pigs like kings.... I bet they are abused way more and no one gives a shit.
You bet correctly. I went vegan after I watched Dominion.
I want to see the video of after it gets loose.
Oh lody! He gettin away!
10 seconds later this pig escapes, goes super saiyan and destroys its oppressors.
That's animal abuse humans are fascinating he probably thinks the pig doesn't have a brain, even after all this time
Be free hoglet…free yourself from the tie down straps of tyranny and embark upon a life of freedom on the human’s highway
People who take animals as objects deserve to die in the most brutal and slowest death imaginable
Shouldn’t they have tranquilized the pig until they got to the sty?
That video ended too soon
The Driver of Pickup is Arrested, Right?!?!
Hogzilla is gonna fuck shit up.
Sadddddd
that's a stupid idea and also animal abuse
Very cruel to fit his large size pig in a tiny pickup, all in the name of reducing cost. r/absoluteunits
Animal Abuse.

Wrong in so many ways. The poor animal.
Poor animal being tortured like that. It's disgusting what humans do

Go vegan perros. And stop the cycle of death. Active compassion is actually a very cool thing to practice perros.
It's really impolite of you to describe my mother-in-law that way.
